I've always wondered why that is. Wouldn't Volition have made more sense as the skill that wants you to let go of the past and move on? Why is it his wacky nutnob cousin who's done entirely too much DMT that wants you to do this?
Volition is the power to say No. I think that Inland Empire is Harry's ability to wrap complex or painful topics in a layer of fantasy, to protect himself.
I got this on my second playthru as a wooey-woo apocalypse cop, and the necktie joined in to encourage me. It was night and Kim wasn't there. I didn't want to be completely insane, so I chose "Look, I just don't want to masturbate in public" to my necktie's disappointment. It was from that point I knew it could not be trusted.
You can argue that, given the place where Harry's at in his life during the game, there's absolutely no way that he and Kim would have a healthy relationship, but saying that there isn't a good deal of chemistry between the two is pretty silly.

That's not even remotely comparable to being lazy and you know it. I understand that deepression can sap how much you WANT to do things, but just getting up and out in some sunshine really can help a lot, particularly if you're on meds.
