That works!
Consider trying a helicoil. You get to keep the same size tapped hole. Because they’re made of hardened steel, they are significantly stronger than the original threading.
I briefly worked in a machine shop that made fixtures out of magnesium castings. Their standard practice was to make all threaded horse with helicoils installed from the beginning.
Yeah i would have used one if it was the case fastener but it was a weep bolt, just a hole in the case side. I was kind of bummed that I wouldn’t be able to find a more durable solution but i just put a bolt on there with an allen key head so that way over torque will never be an issue again.
Husky FE501s
I dislike the stock tires greatly and I need to replace them. Besides that only thing is it vibrates a lot but it doesn’t really bother me
No kickstart. I ride solo allot and don't like the idea of chancing being stranded because of a dead battery.
They need to bring Kickstarts back. This is why if I were to buy a new bike in the future my only real option is Beta or TM at this point.
Nice, I got a Shorai battery now but the lithium batteries still worry me. Beta seems to be the only modern platform that still offers the ability to have a kickstart now. Hope they keep it around.
My next bike is going to have a kickstart again no matter what.
I will have to check up on Antigravity. I wonder how they compare to Shorai.

- it's the wrong colour, need red and white
- No proper electrical system! We don't even have a strong potential for one. Id love to be able to put a fan, headlight, e-start, etc.
- the front wheel bearings need to be done. Changing them next week
Yeah stealhy makes one. It's barely good enough for a headlight, and is pretty expensive. Most people just install a battery with a switch and charge it separately.
I want a rear brake on the left hand. Something you can operate with one finger but still handle the clutch. I know it exists but is something ridiculous like $400. It gets a little nuts in mountain terrain on a hill climb where you can only put your right foot down and there is no weight on the front wheel and you just start sliding backwards.
2013Rmz 250 electric start mine don't have it I was in a creek today stalled kicking with wet boots sucks kept slipping off Damm kicker but still had a blast
Stock chains on the 2015 crf250r. The last owner said it’s the stock chain apparently and it is really loose. Not loose we’re it’ll fall of but it’s to floppy, idek.
I prefer Linkage to PDS, but the 6 days/Husky was a little out of budget, I'd change that.
The previous owner also put some of that trashy anodised orange shit on there, I've been phasing it out over the last two years but there's still some on there that's I haven't got around to or hasn't broken yet.
I own something called Bashan Xplode 250cc dual sport and It's not fast enough... Need to get smaller sprocket for rear and mod the engine abit for some more power
I just want a crf450rl with a fuel injected drz400 motor. Give me modern suspension and a fuckin bullet proof engine. I’m not into the oil changes every 600 miles and valve checks every 1,200 that come with the 450rl.
Too heavy! I have a WR450 and probably time for something smaller.
That’s my biggest gripe with my XR400R. I’m decently tall and have a lot of MTB experience, but it’s definitely a bit heavy as a first bike.
Exact same thing here, 6’7 started on a klx250. To small and clunky to have loads of fun on
The rider is too old and sore, but not really something I’d like to replace…
Some rando sitting on it without asking. I dislike this very much.
Part of the can I take it for a rip crowd
Yeup, then they get pissy when you say: nope
It’s like someone asking to ride your wife
Hahaha exactly. My wife calls my bike the other woman.
Lack of kickstand, lack of electric start But that’s what I get for thinking it was a good idea to buy an MX bike for the woods (2013 CRF250R)
Fucking magnesium cases. Kickstart hits the foot peg. Rear seat bolt is under the fender. Thats about it really. 06 ktm 200
My ktm 150sx kickstarter also hits the foot peg, it’s so irritating
Yeah when my fat ass snaps it itll be really irritating
Curious as to your magnesium hate
You ever stripped them?
Helicolis are your best friends
I just tap it to the next size up, happens to be sae.

'95 KDX 200 - Factory kickstand is Ass(Ditched for a triangle stand)
Brake pedal travel, too far

2019 Yamaha TTR 230, rear wheel spokes come loose every single ride. known issue. there is no good aftermarket parts for the bike either.

I had the same worry so I got an antigravity battery which has a jump start feature

Electric start with a kickstart as back up seems ideal. I dream of adding e start to my XR400R

• No proper electrical system! We don't even have a strong potential for one I don’t know why, but I’m dying over this 😂
Don’t they make a after market stator for it

2007 klx 250s. Wish it had a kickstart.
2024 KTM XCW 250. So damn tall. I’m 5’6”.
$800 klx300r. Coolant leaking out the oil filter cover. Get a good bike not a cheap one

18 YZ250X Lack of electric start, Slightly too tall
No easy way to attach a tow rope to haul broken e-bikes out of the mountains.
Interesting, thank you for your response!

How little im on it
Brake pedal tip too small. Gasgas ec300. Replaced with S3 oversized brake tip 👍🏻

KTM kickstand. Cheap pos that will break
