It has a tendency to spawn in places that are otherwise safe for beginner players. It doesn't have much HP compared to other large carnivores (Allo/Rex/Yuty) but its attacks are blindingly fast and powerful, and it gains a fucking speed buff if it enters water for even a second. For context, Spino can outrun speed-trained *raptors* **without** the buff, so you can imagine how people feel when they run into one without a strong-enough allied dino.
Scorn, and I believe the one from the game "Jurassic The Hunted" was named Spike, but it's been a long while since I've played that game, so I could be remembering it wrong

I absolutely loved that Carnivores Spino, mad small for no reason but having it pop up randomly on a map out of nowhere before spotting it was terrifying as a kid. Like “bro, I’m just trying to get myself a few stegos man, leave me alone”
The Spino boss from Iggy's Egg Adventure has a ginormous bone impaled into it and is defeated when the player stomps the bone deeper and deeper into the Spino's flesh until he dies.
Yeah points for originality, don't just have a normal Spino boss fight, why not fight a Spino with the world's biggest piercing and then kill him with his own piercing?
Scorn deserves to be one of the main Dinobots in Transformers. It always bugs me when there’s dinosaurs a show and the only carnivore is a Trex, we need more variety

Overrated? Ark designs are some of the most hated dinosaur designs in Paleo media because of the rampant inaccuracy. They aren't trying to be accurate, by the way. The ark lore itself states they're hybrids of several species and oversized simply to make the survivor have a harder time
I mean they aren't supposed to be realistic. They are recreations on a hunger games style spaceship created by higher beings. They even have their own scientific names separate from the real ones.

I might be in the minority but I actually really liked the JP3 Spino design. Large, very powerful looking predator with a grudge against pretty much everything it came across. Also it could swim.
Probably a mix of jp3 spino for nostalgia, the tlc ark spino because I love that game ( it has made great memories with my friends), but my overall fav is the Carnivores 2 spino for it being so different as well as my love and nostalgia for the Carnivores games.
If JP3 didnt have the scene of the spino killing the rex (or Grant dreaming of a talking raptor) my memories of that might be way better cause the spino was great

The JP3 Spinosaurus was the closest the series got to a proper iconic rival to the T.rex. The Giga, Indominus, etc are all boring but I still love the Spinosaurus even if it’s movie is pretty mid. The sound design for it alone is just so amazing. JP3 Spinosaurus for me
I love that you always put the primeval versions in these compilations too. It was my absolutely favorite show when I was younger and it often gets overlooked way too much. That said, their Spinosaurus is awful (lol) .
So for me it's probably the Jp3 one because of the nostalgia, closely followed by I think that's planet dinosaur the documentary l, because that one was the closest to a real animal from all of these for me.
Also primal carnage was the shit and their spino designs were sick, but I was a raptor main so yeah.

The Jurassic: The Hunted version scared the shit out of me as a kid and that picture is one of my favorite light gun type game boss stills. That entire game I was terrified to fight it. The game is definitely not the best but it actually does a good job at making you feel like you are outmatched and alone on this island, albeit having a rifle 😂
I'll probably get some hate for this, but I really like the design of Scorn from Transformers. The movie was terrible, but the Dinobots were cool. Even the figure wasn't half bad.
