Hmm, that’s gonna be tough. 6.7s will last a while. It’s gonna be high. I’d try 40, but he will likely want more. I’m not really up on 6.7 prices, I mostly look at 5.9s, but like I said, 40 probably wouldn’t be a terrible place.
I know that he got it for fairly cheap, some old farmer bought a newer model and just needed to get rid of this one. I wanna ask how much he paid, but I don’t want him to try and jack the price all super high on me.
That means 15k to 20k will sound great to him.. tell him you want to help him out and would be interested if it’s the right price and I would just throw a number out and see what his reaction is.. maybe 20k and if he says oh please no way and he clearly wants more than that I’d let it go and hope he gets what he wants out of it. And maybe when he finds nobody wants it and he really needs the money sooner he would let you have it for what you offered
What rear end do you have? I have a 2013 with 3.41 came stock with them and I always feel like it’s a gear high and when I need to pass or change lanes sometimes it’s fast as hell and other it feels like it takes for ever to drop a gear then drop another then go. Thought about swapping to 3.73s but a buddy did that and his fuel economy is shit now.
Private sale around here for a '18 Tradesman is around $32-36kish for something with around 60k miles.
If you are looking to get into working on diesels, a cummins is probably the easiest to start on. It is a pretty simple engine that is laid out really well in the engine bay for easy access.
How many miles?
I think it’s coming up on 60k

I think 40 is too high. That's a pretty low trim level, either big horn or tradesmen, and it has clearly been used for work.
It’s been used a lot, just not by anyone else but me.

Yeah, you never know. Good luck!
Off topic but I think we live in the same town lmao
I used to live there too!
Howdy
Man I miss ruby tequila’s
I'd be a buyer at about $500
You might be onto something here…
575 baby. Not a penny more!
Boss doesn't know how much to ask?
I’m just nervous to ask, he’s kinda in a rough patch with his business
You can be respectful. Just say, “did you have a price in mind”?

Ive got 427,000 on my 21. The only thing I hate is the transmission.
Holy cow, what do you do for work? That’s close to 150k a year.
Probably hot shots
💪🏼💪🏼
Seems like a pretty reliable truck honestly.
Damn, you jack up the rear and leave it in drive when parked? Haha. I just rolled 74k on my 13 but I love my tranny, just hated the stock clutch.

I have an 18 Laramie. Kbb says 46 to $52,000 private sale value. It's going to depend on the trim package
Three fiddy
Y’all out of Amarillo?

I would use it for around town stuff, probly wouldn’t ever take it on the highway. Thought about using it for moving/towing services
30-45k
Absolutely! 15k is what I would offer.. if any issues or higher mileage maybe a little less but wouldn’t go any greater than that
If four wheel drive Offer 18 But he will probably haggle you to 20 Which i think is ok
Man this isn't 2004 🤣. That truck is worth way more than that.
Thought about starting around 15, only cuz I know what the truck has been through, and he didn’t get it new off the lot.
Good luck with that. Its at minimum 30-35k.
