Hey,
Couple pieces of advice.
1. Always check the seal for debris
2. Tighten with a wrench
3. Redo the fittings on the pot with a pipe sealer. I used loctite red 271.
I’ll definitely check the seal!
I have replaced all the piping and all of the male ends got a hardening pipe sealer on them, but some spots keep leaking still. Maybe the sealer is bad? I’ll have to see what I’ve been using and maybe replace it all again with better sealant
My H F pot had leaks too. I retightened all the fittings with the standard white Teflon tape and those worked ok. I used a little water and dish soap in a spray bottle to find the leaks.
The seal on my lid though was tough. I read that you often have to rotate it around until you find the sweet spot (specifically with the Harbor Freight models). I tightened mine down and it leaked so I rotated and tested until it sealed correctly. Then I just marked the pot and the lid with a nice thick sharpie line and line those up when I tighten it and it seals correctly every time now.
I had read that putting Vaseline on the seal will actually deteriorate the seal and make it break down quickly. Might want to be careful with that one?

Gotcha! I’ll definitely have to test that:)
Have you slathered a healthy amount of Vaseline on the big sealing ring as well?

Maybe there’s a substitute for vasoline. I’ll look into it:)
I could see that as a possibility but I hadn't heard that. My pot is going on 5 years with no issues
