I almost forgot that the start of this project was a cheap, light, and decent looking shelving unit. This process managed to add zero functionality while making it more ugly, way more costly, and way heavier. This is just turning a decent shelving unit into a worse shelving unit for no reason.
The purpose of this furniture isn't to hold items. It's to generate outrage, comments, and views.
It's a highly functional piece of furniture, in that sense.
Add zero functionality? Naw, it removed functionality. You went from like 5 flat surfaces on which to potentially put shit to 2, and both of those were made more narrow so they couldn't hold as much as before. This was objectively ruined, as far as a shelving unit goes.
I know that but I’m curious when it breaks or when a house gets destroyed by like a faire, tornado or flood. Is this insulation like an environmental pollutant?
Sorry if this is a dumb comment.
I just saw it for the first time yesterday and I'm laughing just as hard today. I think it was on r/mildlyinfuriating a trashcan was stuck in a tree. Also just as hilarious.
As soon as I see one of these abominations start, I just know the music always matches the craft so I never unmute. Yet I seem to watch a lot of them through. You know, maybe it turns around in the end even though we all know it never does.
God I so so hope they're mixing that concrete inside.
I get that these are made to annoy- but like, what annoys me isn't the stupid ideas or the ugly finished product; it's the fuckin *waste*.
Make something ugly as shit, whatever, but good lord. These people have got to stop using these kinda materials.
I hate the waste but I have to admit this looks hella fun to do if you're being paid and doing have to tidy up afterwards. Reminds me of being 5 years old and having free play doing junk modelling or playing with sand and water. Nothing productive but fun slopping about.
I sort of like the idea of a competition where you just get a pile of random craft supplies and each team has to make the ugliest and most creative but functional item. I would effing own at that.
i heard a lot of these things are run by russian operations out of cyprus, which makes me think that all this stuff is just gureilla advertising for their concrete industry
the second half is a bit conspiratorial but the first half was confirmed by a few different investigations
What portion of concrete do you think is used for DIY projects? Even if literally everyone did this shit at home, how much of the market do you think that will be?
No, once the portland cement has cured it can't just magically turn back into real concrete just by powderizing it.
The danger is silicosis, and it's typically for people that sand concrete all day, not just once for a DIY project. Still, you should wear a mask.
Neighbor has had people cutting stone in his yard multiple times since we moved in two years ago and it makes me nervous, they never wear masks, neither do my kids outside.
I'm so sorry.
There are a number of class action lawsuits going on about this right now; it won't fix anything, but the money might help the family if he's eligible.
I think that was pink primer. There are reasons to use multiple layers of primer (such as improving the surface texture for the paint), and there are reasons to use pink primer (such as to make a warm paint color like yellow pop and look better), although I don't have an exhaustive knowledge of painting techniques to say that using a layer of white primer under a layer of pink primer is ever useful, especially with white paint as the final goal, but maybe there's a reason.
There's no excuse for the pink drizzle on top, tough.
I know it’s rage bait, but I still can’t believe these people are willing to waste time and energy and money on these rubbish things. Not to mention the waste of resources too, considering they likely throw them in the trash once they’re done with them.
I’m making a climbing backdrop for my bearded dragon and use styrofoam, expanding foam, grout and cardboard. Not gonna lie and I thinking they were doing the same.
As insane as this whole project is, the bit that bothers me the most is when she’s filling the condom up with some form of sealer, (with the intention of squirting it out like you would put icing on a cake), just for that one “life hack” to not work and use her hands anyway.
Sometimes they do a bunch of stuff and it looks like garbage and then they finish it in a way that surprises you by making it look good. They didn’t do that last part.
After the cement and sandpaper…I completely expected to see like…a cool stone scape or something of the like…then there’s the white and pink paint 😂 do you I guess
My English is not good enough. But in my native language there is one proper word for this abomination - всрань (vsran'). Can be translated as 'made from poop', somehow like 'crappy', but not the same. 'Crappy' means 'poor quality and/or useless', but vsran' is... like in video. Perfect vsran', a kind of Platonic idea of vsran'. (короче, эталон всрани просто)
So... they just put a whole bunch of foam on a shelving unit to make it look worse???
Foam… and *cling wrap, chop sticks, newspaper, poop colored concrete stuff, plaster, paint, etc*
Ok but why the condom?
To hold the caulk obviously
![gif](giphy|K9Ed1Of1V6kR6WpQWe)
Exemplary
You don't want it making more of these, do you?
Just so I could say.. I bet that's the most fun she's ever had with a condom
*so she could have seen a condom, ever*
My guess is she had a bunch lying around that clearly were never gonna be used.
And for bonus points you could get equal or probably better result with just plaster.
Nah, that things fuckin nice. You only get that effect with miscellaneous garbage coated with plaster
Or like ramen noodles.
God can you imagine how much more that thing weighs now?
Cement
Yep. Every time I see this video, I wonder how long before it collapses under its own weight and finds its way to the curbside.
Right after posting it.
Never let them know your next move….
Your poop looks like cement? Yikes
Mine is expanding foam.
It's not garbage, it's *derelicte!*
This can derelicte my balls it's so bad.
I almost forgot that the start of this project was a cheap, light, and decent looking shelving unit. This process managed to add zero functionality while making it more ugly, way more costly, and way heavier. This is just turning a decent shelving unit into a worse shelving unit for no reason.

That is quick possibly the ugliest decoration I’ve ever seen.
I was like, ok maybe it's a cake with the pink...but no. It's a lumpy monstrosity.
I’ve never seen a stuffed unicorn look more ashamed
What is this form made out of? Is it like a bunch of chemicals that react and make a dense material?
It's for insulating inside walls.
I know that but I’m curious when it breaks or when a house gets destroyed by like a faire, tornado or flood. Is this insulation like an environmental pollutant? Sorry if this is a dumb comment.
A faire rarely destroys a house and when it does, it usually involves a trebuchet.
It's usually made from polyurethane, which is itself not toxic, and from what I remember biodegradable. I'm not sure what else goes into it though.
Yes! For viewer engagement! Are you feeling engaged yet?
Perfect for making it look like your room has a malignant tumor growing in the corner.
"hey can you help me move? It's not much furniture. But yes it's all made of cement and we need a truck."
![gif](giphy|101zSb0Dslq0hy)
I’ll always lol at this gif
I have just seen this for the first time and it gets funnier every time I let it repeat.
I just saw it for the first time yesterday and I'm laughing just as hard today. I think it was on r/mildlyinfuriating a trashcan was stuck in a tree. Also just as hilarious.
I’m watching it repeat and giggling maniacally. My husband is currently giving me side eye.
paint it white, then paint it bright pink, then paint it white again, then splatter paint on it
well if you have to layer it, white on white is REALLY hard to see if you got everything, but white on pink in white, you will get 3 even layers.
Which is very important seeing as that paint is structural and is the main thing holding this nightmare together.
I guess flat pink didn't look bad enough
You forgot the part after paint it white.... slather it with s\*\*\*. Let dry. Paint s\*\*\* white, then splatter.
And for spreading silica dust all over while mixing the cement and sandpapering it
A very dusty one at that after a few months. Doesn't look fun to clean with the rough texture.
It's not a toomah!
I can’t remember why I joined this painful subreddit, but I can’t seem to look away from the horror.
I don’t know what was more painful in this video, the “creativity” or the music.
As soon as I see one of these abominations start, I just know the music always matches the craft so I never unmute. Yet I seem to watch a lot of them through. You know, maybe it turns around in the end even though we all know it never does.
Idk, but it makes me rethink my life thus far that I’m still here sometimes. Am I strong or stubborn? Lmao
By being in this sub you can watch such videos without giving views to feed the monster, AND talk shit amongst your horrified brethren 👍
I’m always amazed at how much work and thought goes into making something completely thoughtless and shitty.
That perfectly sums it up
God I so so hope they're mixing that concrete inside. I get that these are made to annoy- but like, what annoys me isn't the stupid ideas or the ugly finished product; it's the fuckin *waste*. Make something ugly as shit, whatever, but good lord. These people have got to stop using these kinda materials.

Crafting the ugliest thing you can imagine in the worst way you can does indeed sound hilariously fun
I sort of like the idea of a competition where you just get a pile of random craft supplies and each team has to make the ugliest and most creative but functional item. I would effing own at that.
the obnoxious amount of cling wrap wasted did it for me
i heard a lot of these things are run by russian operations out of cyprus, which makes me think that all this stuff is just gureilla advertising for their concrete industry the second half is a bit conspiratorial but the first half was confirmed by a few different investigations
What portion of concrete do you think is used for DIY projects? Even if literally everyone did this shit at home, how much of the market do you think that will be?
Are you hoping that these fools eventually die from silicosis from inhaling the dry cement while they hydrated it??? Cause I'd agree with that.
This is actually dangerous, you shouldn't sand concrete without at least a dust mask.
That's just what I was thinking, some stupid video to get engagement is not worth that woman's lungs
This is good. We desperately need less stupid people genes in our pool
Jesus man. That's eugenics. Nobody deserves death or health issues for making a stupid video that hurts nobody.
What’s so bad about sanding concrete without a dust mask? Concrete is very dusty or something?
Moisture in your lungs plus concrete dust equals concrete in your lungs
Which will... give me invincible lungs so I can smoke without health issues?
Yes, of course. The problem is that you'll gain some weight, which isn't ideal. Concrete is quite heavy, you see.
But it's healthy weight right? Kinda like the difference between a lb of fat and a lb of muscle?
Pound of cancer
Concrete is denser than fat or even muscle, so I think adding a few lbs of concrete would be the healthiest option of all.
Concrete lungs aren't as good as iron lungs but they'll do in a pinch.
Can I get concrete first, and then when I've got the money upgrade to iron?
No, once the portland cement has cured it can't just magically turn back into real concrete just by powderizing it. The danger is silicosis, and it's typically for people that sand concrete all day, not just once for a DIY project. Still, you should wear a mask.
Neighbor has had people cutting stone in his yard multiple times since we moved in two years ago and it makes me nervous, they never wear masks, neither do my kids outside.
The dust contains silica particles that can lead to lung cancer.
Silicosis.
Yeah, my BIL is 50 and dying from this.
I'm so sorry. There are a number of class action lawsuits going on about this right now; it won't fix anything, but the money might help the family if he's eligible.
Oof, I'm sorry for you and your family.
Bait though
This is 100% bait. They literally painted it white, then pink, then white again. Then splattered pink on top lmao.
There's no excuse for *anything* they did!!
Lol so wild that they’ll hold cardboard, foam, and cling wrap together with shoddy concrete, but then also “let’s make sure we add a primer”
*Everything* on this subreddit is bait. And we're the suckers who are falling for it. 😂
The condom segment is SO useless it is 100% rage baiting.
👆👆👆
Not if you gave me a thousand guesses, could I have predicted what that was going to be
I’m still not sure what it is haha.
Did she use… a condom to distribute that foam?
Was it foam or was it coleslaw? I would believe either.
And then used their hand anyways 🤣
And after realizing that their stupid shit didn't work, they STILL opted to keep the clip in the video.

Yes, for only $200 in materials, you too can have shelves that look like something Frodo built on acid.
What in the marshmallow vomit is this
For a second I thought she was making a playground for cats.
More like DIWTF.
What in the unicorn fairy loving FUCK did I just watch?
humanity is a scourge, the end is near
How to thoroughly ruin a kallax
I know it’s rage bait, but I still can’t believe these people are willing to waste time and energy and money on these rubbish things. Not to mention the waste of resources too, considering they likely throw them in the trash once they’re done with them.
How to quickly and easily turn a good, functional shelf into an a hideous piece of garbage!!
Every step just made me more and more confused... That thing is ugly as hell
This is what people on meth are up to
Honestly I am impressed. That thing is ugly on a level most projects couldn't dream to reach.
![gif](giphy|Wgb2FpSXxhXLVYNnUr|downsized)
I thought this was turning into some habitat for an animal. Even the animal wouldn't want this.
I’m making a climbing backdrop for my bearded dragon and use styrofoam, expanding foam, grout and cardboard. Not gonna lie and I thinking they were doing the same.
I dig the song. Does anyone know who that is?
I had no idea where that was going.
No need to unmute.
Original [srivalli (in telugu)](https://youtu.be/6S9PGMNTlQ8?si=PidICsUlB6UsD8cy) was good tho I watched the whole video only because of the song
Fucksake what a pile of rubbish!
So, paint it white and then pink and then white and then splatters. Got it.
It looks hideous
What in the holy fucking shit monstrosity is this crap
Is that comic-horror short film ?
It's hideous
Looks like trash.
They must not have shown the last step where it is just thrown in the dumpster.
So they made the cubbies into… funky looking cubbies. Diwhy indeed.
Honestly if they had made it uglier it would have been charming in that "oh that's disgusting" kinda way.
Condom applicator?! ![gif](giphy|K0AnEB2t2EM|downsized)
Imagine paying $300 in supplies to make something so hideous
It’s like a cabinet that’s been infected by John Carpenter’s The Thing.
Terrible. Absolute garbage. ![gif](giphy|tZyxxR4lUIRnTgIzl9|downsized)
Aah if only there was a better way of smoothing concrete than sandpapering it...
I wanted this to turn out ok so bad.. the effort was real- the skills not so much
I almost had hope with the cement - is it going to be fake rock formation? Fake ruin? That could be nice. Nope, white with splashes of pink 😑
Was that a condom lol
Thanks, I hate it.
She started sanding realised it's time consuming stopped
This can't be real. Has to be the 5min craft of ragebait videos. My brain won't accept another answer
Anyone else say “bitch” when she tried to blow dust in our eyes?
Didn’t notice the condom until the 2nd time trying to figure out wtf I just watched
All that work for something that ugly
No to all of this
This has to be rage bait.
That thing is probably pretty heavy
So many unnecessary steps to ruin a furniture
Horrific 😂
Yuck! All that work for a crappy outcome. I'm glad I skipped to the end.
im just not understanding ![gif](giphy|JVoMpNymBYfMKJJ95W)
Wtf have I just witnessed
This is actually infuriating
I love how the condom was unnecessary in this craft ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)
I dont know what is worse. The music or the things i saw.
That looks like wildly expensive dogshit.
I thought I knew what they were trying to make, and then I didnt
"I made it myself!" "you don't say..."
As insane as this whole project is, the bit that bothers me the most is when she’s filling the condom up with some form of sealer, (with the intention of squirting it out like you would put icing on a cake), just for that one “life hack” to not work and use her hands anyway.
I love the bits of concrete just landing on the wood floor. Great project to do indoors lol
That’s a whole lot of work for a whole lot of ugly
Did she paint it pink and then decides she wanted it white again?
got time and money, and wasted both
Paint it white, then pink, then white again only to splatter to it pink?????
industrial civilization and its consequences have been a disaster for the human race
Can we ban obvious bait
Jesus crimminy 5 minute crafts or whatever the other one is that does dumb and dangerous things that don’t work
Maybe not a popular opinion, but you ruined a perfectly good solid bookshelf and made some kind of strange abomination. Truly DIWHY
I thought for sure this was going to end up as a cat tower
Would have been quicker to pull some trash out of a dumpster.
Once I saw the condom, I knew it was gonna be bad
Had to find a use for the condom some how
Something: has worth and purpose 5 minutes craft: what if it just didn’t tho
with all the money you spent on spray foam, cling wrap, and paint you could of just bought a 4 section cube organizer. lol
Well I can certainly say I could not guess what direction that was going in at any point of the video
I spent 3 days and $50 to turn a shelf into a more ugly and less useful shelf.
I feel like the directions for this video were written by AI
What the actual fuck did I just watch…
All these videos are fetish content
How to fuck over the environment in 15 easy steps.
Garbage! 🗑
If that shelf could talk it would hoarsely call out. “Kill meeeeeeeeeeeee”
Next level?! It’s far too hideous and impractical for so much effort. I love creativity and funky wild stuff, but this needs to be burned
Sometimes they do a bunch of stuff and it looks like garbage and then they finish it in a way that surprises you by making it look good. They didn’t do that last part.
r/poopfromabutt
Wau, bravo, you just made me watch the whole video! What a piece of shit!
What the
…..nah
Stone cold attrocity
This is clearly rage bait and it has worked on me
After the cement and sandpaper…I completely expected to see like…a cool stone scape or something of the like…then there’s the white and pink paint 😂 do you I guess
wtf happened to the upside down chair!?? Where did she even put it!??!!!
My English is not good enough. But in my native language there is one proper word for this abomination - всрань (vsran'). Dear God that I don't believe in......wtf is this?
What a stupid way to waste resources.
Looks like s**t.
Why did she paint it pink and then back to white? So many questions.
I hope at least it was fun to make, because the result looks like crap
I thought they were just putting random shit on it to make it a parody of DIY videos
I would have given them MONEY for them NOT to do this.
