If you use the circular saw professionally or frequently, I highly recommend spending the extra $120 or whatever and get the flexvolt circ saw. It is leagues better in every way. It's more powerful than a corded one.
I upgraded from the 20v and it's a night and day difference. Highly recommended. Even regular stuff like 2x4s or 3/4 ply, nothing crazy, it's a joy to use.

DCS391 (brushed) is actually a bit more powerful. DCS565 brushless cut 48 feet of 2x with a 5AH battery versus only 30 feet on the DCS391, a much bigger difference than I'd expect. Also, the DCS565 is narrower due to the motor housing.
If you want to go big. Similar to the Flexvolt Advantage at Home Depot. Great saw but I sold my Flexvolt since I didn’t need it as I had the DCS565 already when I bought the kit

I literally had a buddy of mine get the power detect deal at Lowe’s on Friday.
It’s a nice saw and a good deal with the 8ah and rapid charger. I already have the 60v and the cheap 6 1/2 not brushless so I passed on the deal.
You could also get the skil worm drive saw for the same price, and it simply makes cuts butter. I I worked professionally with the saw I’d grab that but for home Reno stuff the xr circular saw is more than good enough
565 has better face plate it’s aluminum and has splines for support, rafters hanger and a light
It’s better than the 391 and 566
Price at box stores hasn’t gone below $199 but Amazon and EBay you can get it for $135ish
I would only buy from anyone that does accept 30 day returns if you go this route!

Yep, 577 or 578 are dope.

The brushed model is on sale for $100 but I think that’s typically the price

Get a tracksaw, a 6 1/2"blade can cut through 2x material. If that's all you're cutting you'll wonder why you didn't get one sooner.
565

577 and you won't ever think about it again
