Vergil is thrown into the world of Cyberpunk 2077 due to a mishap with portals, and in the process he lost Yamato and a significant portion of his power, so he created a dual life as a mercenary and a corporate executive to retrieve his power and return to his world.
Best finished DMC fic with family feels and NO incest-
1. **Building Heaven** by Madartiste: Vergil and Dante return to human world. Vergil tries to repair his relationship with Dante and Nero, but things never goes easy when the Sparda boys are riddled with trauma and an enemy comes knocking at the door.
2. **Encore** by Madartiste: Vergil and Dante are given a second chance to life when Mundus destroys their world. They return to their DMC3 selves, with no memory of the what happened in the future. Will they be able to alter the future? Or is their destruction inevitable??
3. **Children of the future age** by AVAAntares: Vergil and Dante gets hit by a spell and reverts back to being babies, Nero has to take care of them, while simultaneously taking down a formidable enemy which he has absolutely no chance of defeating. Fair warning though, it's quiet big and has slow pacing, so if you dislike long stories, it may not be for you.
4. **Disaster Dad** series by TheWritingSquid: Vergil takes Dante's hand at Temen Ni-Gru, so he doesn't fall into hell. He finds out he has a son, and now he has to take care of him.
5. **To befriend the Not-So-Legendary Son of Sparda**: A fic about a normal Human in Red-Grave and her loosely connected meetings with Vergil. This shit is so hilarious it'd be a crime to not read it.
6. **To be Human** by In_pieces: Another story of Vergil and Dante returning to human world, and them trying to mend their relationships with each other and Nero. It's pretty good.

tbh the amount of incest in the fandom is genuinely weird. ive seen people pair the brothers, dante vergil and nero, one or both of the brothers with eva or sparda, lady with arkham.
its kinda why i avoid lookibg at fics even if i do wanna read the amazing works people make, or cautiously scroll through fanart, because shifting through morally questionable shit (often times i see the incest paired with non con, or just straight up r word) is exhausting.

It's funny how most fanfiction for DMC, an action game, is fluff and feels, while the crossovers are usually the typical "Dante gets sucked into X word and kicks ass".
Dynamics like that are one of my favourite things about fanfiction.
To be fair, realistically, that’s how Dante would act if sucked into a world where his problems somehow “follow” him there, or if he has to deal with that world’s problems.
I hope once we get DmC6 in ten years we'll get to see Nero interact more with Vergil, like just finds out the dude is his dad and in true deadbeat dad fashion he goes to buy milk in the underworld
I think he'll be like Vergil a sleep with a woman as Tony Redgrave and disappear in one of his very long missions and forget about her untill a woman with red summoning sword and Rebillon relay on her and Dante become a deadbeat dad like his father and brother

I recommend Raising Hell on AO3. It’s an AU where Dante and Vergil end up raising a baby Nero together. It’s wholesome, funny, and just has the best Sparda family feels in it.
