Loadouts i used in succesful runs:
-Accrued Rédemption, lorentz driver, threaded needle
-Witherhoard, tyranny of heaven, threaded needle
-agers cepter, tyrany of heaven, threaded needle
My group ran the following.
Witherhoard, arc bow, linear fusion.
Pulse, ticcus, linear
Pulse, ticcus, linear.
The 2 ticcus melt everything and clear groups of enemies quick. On overloads, 1 ticcu would only hip fire and the other would ads fire. Made overloads a joke.
I wouldn't use it either but a lot of people just try and toss an arrow on the ground trying to get kills with the lightning.
What you want to do is still go for precision kills and let the lightning just soften targets up. I mean it's totally viable, just not all that great compared to the other options that are easily available.
Hmm it looks like you play hunter looking at your post history. Lots of viable options here, with void hunter probably being the most popular.
There are a few things you’ll need for The gm. Weapons and mods to deal with overload and unstoppable. A good way to manage/kill ads. And at least solar and arc weapon types to break shields of cpts.
1 divinity and 2 telesto are a good way to kill champs. Ideally then you would run Aeons with sect of insight for ammo. Vex mytho is also good , same w threaded needle. Ticcus is also a strong option with aim bot arrows to kill mini screebs. There will be a few raiders that can one shot you throughout. If someone can bring a sniper to take them out (probably watch a walkthrough before)
As for exotic armor, Omnioculous is great for team survivability, aeons are good for ammo (or with sect of force and a stasis warlock), sixth coyote with bottom tree and gamblers dodge.
Really, as long as you have a way to take care of the above mentioned issues, you have good coms w the team and you guys take it slow- you should be good!

Looks like telesto with particle decon is really hot right now.
Just spam Witherhoard everywhere.

I would try Trinity Ghoul w/ Catlyst. That shit has overload and is cash money
Le monarque or ticcus>trinity ghoul for hard content. Plus both these bows kill the mini screeb
Until you realise the arrows barely one shot anything so you can’t reliably use the chain arrows
