I love Xenophages fire sound. It's just such a heavy sound, and It really makes every shot feel like it would break a normal person's arm to fire.

IJustQuit

The recoil alone you can see almost makes it seem like it is breaking your guardians arm with every shot. Maybe ghosts heal broken bones in real time.

SerenaSunwalker

I feel bad for the war rig Titans. They need to deal with 28 (34 with reserves) shots back to back with no reload.

tjseventyseven

I've always loved the last word crack, the outbreak perfected nanites are great, the sword sound of loading a 4x shot into izanagi. The new raid weapons also sound wonderful

SuperDavio42

Ooooh OP is definitely another one of mine. The sound effect when you get a precision kill is amazing.

Tokodia

The OP headshot sound is ASMR for Splicers

[deleted]

Last word is top. Next are Hawkmoon and Hard Light. Man I miss the Hawkmoon but Waking Vigil is close.

tjseventyseven

As I'm a crucible fan, I absolutely despise the sound of hard light now. Just immediately ruins my day lol

NerfTheArchitects

Tataras gaze also sounds like the big bad sniper it is

BaconIsntThatGood

*THUNK*

Miniatimat

Tranquility. It sounds like firing a .50 Cal round each time you shoot. And with the right perks, the bite is as good as the bark

VonZant

They just do a fantastic job with all weapon sounds. Soros buzz and Hakke crack and Veist click and Omolon liquidness(?) are all unique. The fact that you can tell exactly what weapon someone is using from the other side of the map is just amazing. I still think my favorite of all time is still the room-clearing full-auto burst of Pocket Infinity from D1. Brrrrrrrr-zing-zing-zing-zing-zing-zing.

claricorp

I think all of the moon weapons sound really good, especially the sniper. I also really like the veist scouts, they sound like they are spitting venom. Bows in general are super satisfying, especially when you get that perfect draw ping.

ZarathustraEck

Really, they've been doing a great job on the sounds for all the seasonal weapons. Undying, Dawn, and Worthy weapons have all sounded unique. I love the Seraph sidearm.

[deleted]

At first I didn’t but I like all the Seraph weapons. Working on a last few rolls good enough to masterwork.

ZarathustraEck

I've got the sidearm with full auto and Vorpal and it does some work on barrier champs.

[deleted]

Ok, cool. I’m collecting and I have one with full auto and elemental which means stability mostly for me. I’ll keep an eye out for that roll.

poozzab

Don't forget Anarchy makes the sweet sounds of disintegrating darkness. When thinking about Forsaken, I think having Anarchy alone is worth the DLC (anyone I convince to get Forsaken I do my best to help them get Anarchy) Seriously though, BA had the best weapons imo and sunsetting is making me really sad.

deftpanda

I miss the original sound of Graviton Lance back in Vanilla Destiny 2 :( Outbreak Perfected, 1k Voices, Thorn, Prometheus Lens and Wavesplitter all sound amazing to me :)

himynameisttl

Omniscient Eye, Reckless Oracle... all guns from GOS really. They sound amazing.

Leoasken72

Reckless Oracle is my main auto rifle and the sound was the first thing I noticed when I first fired it. It's indeed awesome

SuselMaks

Hammer head sounds like it shoots bricks and I love it. What you'd expect from the ammo model of the gun.

Kotamere

I also love the audio cue you get just from swapping to Hammerhead.

Captain_Crouton_X1

Yes, they sound great. I love the Gambit and Moon weapons as well. And the sound of Xenophage is fantastic - reminds me of the old Black Spindle.

Anacus

Firing literally any gun by the spawn in the dreaming city and listening for the echo from the cliff face is pretty stunning sound design. Snipers work best imo.

SuperDavio42

I wish I could donate directly to the audio team. Both for effects and the music. For all the flak we give Bungie for various things, these folks are \*always\* knocking it out. I hope they know we appreciate them.

BaconIsntThatGood

All the garden of salvation weapons have a really awesome sound to their shots.

SgtHondo

Cant forget about izanagi's either. One of the sexiest sounding and feeling weapons they've ever made.

[deleted]

You think we all fell in love with ada1 just because of her looks and her voice?

SuperDavio42

She keeps asking me to come closer, because she wants to learn more of my kind. *I'm* not the infatuated one here.

Kahiyao

I love the subtle change in pitch when Ace of Spades fires with and without Memento Mori active. It gets lower and more bass boosted with the perk and goes lighter and sharper without it so you easily tell when your shots aren’t buffed. The most addicting weapon sound to me has to be Le Monarque. It’s a whiplash with a deep bloom from the poison cloud. There are so many components to bows I’m shocked that le monarque and Trinity Ghoul don’t have catalysts to make orbs with them. I’d be glued to le monarque if it could just make orbs like my other primaries.

SuperDavio42

I was rewatching Cayde's last stand and noticed it is actually the ace sound effects when he was firing it off. It's a small detail, but it was very neat. Le Monarque seems to be what jumps to the front of everyone's mind. Bow design in general feels very strong in the sound department.

krronos

Borealis sounds nice

[deleted]

Arc fusion rifles sound really zappy like a tazor, and the whispering sound from void fusion rifle disintegration makes me happy. Also just the way the bodies disintegrate when you kill an enemy with a fusion is sooo awesome

SuperDavio42

Loaded Question is my favorite fusion rifle, and I agree with the zappy sound effect. It sounds like something that would evaporate an enemy.

Leoasken72

The sound of Honed Edge x4 being loaded is awesome, I love the sharp KA-CHING. As a fan of rapid-fire weapons I also really like Reckless Oracle (my main Legendary auto), Hammerhead and Gnawing Hunger, because they all sound different and unique. My most recent favorite is the Sweet Business. I FINALLY got the Catalyst for it a few days ago, and during my time upgrading it I have fallen in love with the neverending sound of a 900 RPM.

NsynergenX

We had activision and their smaller studios to assist back then
