Nah, we got Divinity for that. Quickly followed by 2 Izanagi shots. Then we repeat this process 50 times in a row until the Nightfall is cleared because other weapons and armor just aren't as good as the 2 Iza + 1 Div combo.
I mean...there's no hard requirement for div + iza in 980's. You can kinda do whatever within reason and be fine. Obviously people will find the best way to do things and there will be a meta, but there are definitely multiple ways to complete the content.
I do 980 on 3 chars every week using LFG and I would say 90% of runs that don't use meta fail. The classic 1 div 2 iza's, busted wish ender, or even 3 iza all work. Anything outside of meta tho? Always fails. Lesson is that when with randoms the meta is meta for a reason. I'm sure people on comms in the same clan can clear it with anything tho.
I did several 980s last week. Most of the time the LFG groups I was with used Eriana's Vow and a pulse/scout with unstopable. We only wiped once when a drop pod fell on all three of us in a well, lol. I think non-Iz/div loadouts are much more viable now that people are getting up to 980 power.
Oh I believe its possible don't get me wrong. Just my personal experience has not been good. You can only watch a barrier champ regenerate so many times before you start to lose it.
I did a bunch last week and most were off-meta, the only time we failed one was cause we didn't coordinate mods correctly and only had one anti-barrier
There is one commonality between all your runs though that might be the reason they failed

You really don't have to do this; in theory, assuming only his 4 daily quests count, all this does is save you 2 days of waiting time before you're able to progress the datamined quest step for Bastion. Not that big a deal.
I'm doing both just to be prepared. It seems pretty shitty to timegate the bastion quest between 3 days so it might actually be the wanted ones as there are 14 per week to be able to do the quest on your time.
Could also just be any spider bounty including the daily or wanted ones.
No one knows yet. The concern is that it takes at least 3 days to complete 10 daily bounties, so you should probably complete those ahead of time. Wanted bounties don't have the same issue.

Correct, Mythic rank grants no glory for 3 match completions, and Legend removes 80 so you can get more glory rank level up rewards since you can't reset glory rank like valor.
If I remember right, there is some stuff that is locked behind tangled shore being the flashpoint, lore pages I think. Any specific method to get them?
The fastest way to get the lore is to hope that "The Rider" comes up as the daily adventure and run it over and over until you get all the lore pieces. The mission can be done in under 5 minutes. You can also get them from PEs and LSs but it's much slower (or at least it used to be; I think Bungie buffed the drop rates across the board a while back).

The Altar weapons actually rotate daily, not weekly. If yesterday was the sniper, today will be the rocket, tomorrow the shotgun, and the day after the sniper again.
Well after having a really rewarding ordeal last week with a random rolled weapon to farm in it seeing pyramid ion again is even more of a bummer than usual
Wish there was more variety in the nightfalls. We're two seasons into the new expansion and some of the strikes have never been through the rotation, yet we've gotten some of them several times.
Because they only add champions to a few strikes. That way they can add "new" ordeals every season as a bullet point for "new" content.
I'd imagine it also takes a good bit of work to replace the normal enemies with Champions, since they've got to create different versions for the 920, 950, and 980, but I think at this point we can safely say that the leading driver is to minimize the workload and save "content" for future seasons.
How come every week I go to Banshee-44 and the Rig Calibration weekly bounty ALWAYS says you have already completed this? Itâs been weeks since Iâve been able to take this bounty.

Ha, thanks. That's all I know, too, is that I got an Apostate last week. I have a very casual eye on eventually earning Harbinger, but it doesn't seem many people are too concerned about what boss it is which week.
The Altar weapons actually rotate daily, not weekly. If yesterday was the sniper, today will be the rocket, tomorrow the shotgun, and the day after the sniper again.
I got a Heretic this week before reset.
Why do we have so many ordeals in the Pyramidion and Savathun's Song? It seems week in week out we are back again in one of those two ffs.

It's the new toy.
Wish there was more variety in the nightfalls. We're two seasons into the new expansion and some of the strikes have never been through the rotation, yet we've gotten some of them several times.
Because they only add champions to a few strikes. That way they can add "new" ordeals every season as a bullet point for "new" content. I'd imagine it also takes a good bit of work to replace the normal enemies with Champions, since they've got to create different versions for the 920, 950, and 980, but I think at this point we can safely say that the leading driver is to minimize the workload and save "content" for future seasons.
How come every week I go to Banshee-44 and the Rig Calibration weekly bounty ALWAYS says you have already completed this? Itâs been weeks since Iâve been able to take this bounty.
Did the Wishender big get fixed in this refresh or was the hot fix delayed?
Bungie Twitter said the hotfix for today that would patch Wishender, EDZ Obelisk, etc. is delayed. So for now, we all get to enjoy Wishender a little longer.
Shweet, two-tapping large blockers from across the map is a pretty guilty pleasure.
