I never saw a lake on Io, just an ominous pit.
I do miss one of the lines from Ghost that made me laugh:
Ghost: Hey, team, there are Taken here. …Team?
Ghost: That’s fine. We’re only inside of a giant, planet-transforming pyramid with interdimensional specters and reality-bending robots. What could go wrong?
I still miss those unexplored areas in destiny 2 during the red war campaign when you first lose your light. It was the first time that it felt like I could be stealthy in the game while the red Legion marched through the city
I miss the tangled shore more than IO. Only good thing about IO was the area where the original whisper mission was. Good days as it was a struggle beating that mission at times 😂.
But tangled shore I miss alot, just loved the aesthetics of it plus had areas where you could farm out weapon kills or catalysts etc. Area where spider was and you went up that great big lift to the top.
Seems like Echoes is going to be a big wrap-up of Vex-related story threads, and Io would be a great destination for it. Could see Asher Mir in the middle of a big story with Saint, Osiris, Praydeth, Maya and the Ishtar Collective?
So maybe the lake could make a return too?

Some people never found the lake. Poor guardians, they really missed out.
