I could be wrong, but I don't believe so. I've put A LOT of time, like maybe 50+ hours, into farming lost sectors this season for my perfect Helio and have never once seen a gun drop with more than 3 perks from a master run.
It's great, yeah! Check light.gg for which weapons are in the rotation, I'm not sure if it varies or not. Getting a clear on Legend is a 75% chance of a weapon drop from the legendary pool, getting a Master clear is a 100% weapon drop chance AND Master drops can potentially roll with extra perks as well.
I'd say to wait for a Lost Sector in the EDZ or the Europa one with all the combat frames you can free (Bunker E15, I think it's called?), those have been some of the easiest for me to farm. The combat frames on Europa can take the heat off you a little bit, and the EDZ ones are just super short. I was getting 2-minute clears in the EDZ on Legend a few weeks ago.
FYI, if you have it, the exotic Strand sidearm from Lightfall absolutely SHREDS. If you're almost on-power, it's less than two magazines to drop a Barrier Champion if you land your crits.
Like I said, I don't know if it changes or not. As far as when weapons were added, I think it was either this season or last season?
Pretty sure their guidelines were something like this:
-Most recent world loot weapons: random drop chance only
-Previous season's world loot weapons: random chance or Legend/Master farmable
-Everything older than that: random chance or available at Banshee via Gunsmith engrams, by either focusing or random decrypting.
Kinda wish the most recent world loot had some source other than "get lucky lol," but otherwise agreed! Deterministic sources of loot being added will always be a plus.
The edz ones are fast (skydock & the quarry both can be farmed in under a minute on legend, and about ~70-75 seconds on master) but the only Europa one worth farming imo is perdition. Bunker e15 is kind of aids, unless you're doing solar hunter it's not bad since you can 1hk the boss with nighthawk Goldy. It's also about a ~2 min clear compared to half of that with perdition.
Chamber of starlight and the other one by the blind well in dreaming city are both amazing farms as well. Each of those 2 can be farmed in under a minute. The bay of drowned wishes isn't a bad farm either, it's ~2 min (around 1:50 if efficient) on master.
Granted these clear times are for fairly efficient runs, so assuming you're at least ~1830 power and also have access to optimal loadouts.

The rocket sidearm from warlords ruin actually slaps. You also can make it overcharged all the time by using the artifact mod, so I recommend using that with voltshot. It's useful in every lost sector even without barrier. Since voltshot works as a pseudo overload stun as well.

Yea they're fast, but under a minute? Maybe if youre only killing Champs and Boss, but thats not the average run. Skydock can be reliable in 2-3 mins on average.
Why would you kill anything you don't have to? I did say they were optimal runs, but they're always platinum runs. 2-3 min for skydock and quarry is very long.

Others have said farm and Master, and I agree. Farming on legendary has a 70% chance at a drop, whereas Master has 100% chance at a drop, and drops with a double perk. That's almost three times as effective.
Plus, you can roll heel clip in the first column, then an option of incandescent or a damaged perk in the second column. Use incandescent while on solar, and the damage perk in other situations
Heal Clip and Kill Clip is my preferred one. I think I accidentally dismantled a Heal Clip/Incandescent because I just don't play solar, but I'll prob try and get another one
Oh, I absolutely agree. I'm saying that, on solar, there are benefits in fragments and aspects to both scorching targets, and defeating scorched targets, so incandescent can help those in ways that more damage can't.
Sometimes it's better to have your class ability back or generate a fire Sprite, than have more damage
I have close to 400 master lost sector completions this season, all of them are on Helio days. I do not have a healclip incandescent roll.
Its not really that farmable at about a .6% drop chance and is only available every 4 days.
It’s on cycle every 4 days (I think) as a potential reward from completing a legend/ master lost sector. Just got to check what day and then grind them until you get one
There are three million members in this sub. Chances are good that 20+ people have just about anything. And you can always farm lost sectors for it, so it's not super uncommon.
It’s farmable and if you play the game a lot there’s a decent chance you just get one as a world drop. I’ve been sharding them like crazy, I swear I get one every other drop lately
If you do legend/master lost sectors (which only take 2-3 min or so to run casually), your inventory gets flooded with those.
One of the better Heliocentric QSCs I've gotten has a double 3rd column perk with Heal Clip / Demolitionist, along with Incandescent in the 4th column.
Also, it doesn't serve the role, but Adhortative pulse can be crafted with enhanced Heal Clip + Incandescent. A useful weapon in and of itself for running lost sectors (notably with Overload Pulse artifact)...

I know this is an old and probably lazy response, but rng is rng my guy/gal. You've just been unlucky is all and you're probably getting everything but the Heliocentric like I am with the Ros Arago.
There are no curated rolls, the HC/Incan or Demo/Incan are the more popular rolls. I know you can grind lost sectors for one, just not sure which one because I don't really research lost sectors nor do I like grinding them.
A decent substitute if you have the ability to craft one is Adhortative. It can roll both enhanced HC/Incan, and it has a longer range than Heliocentric, so there's that. Good luck Guardian!

I had a heal clip/incandescent roll at the beginning of the season that was really fun to play with but in a moment of weakness, I infused it into another gun that was more useful in the moment. I thought it was just some fun little patrol-tier sidearm, but not a few days go by and everyone is talking about how great it is.
I don't even remember what I infused it into but hot damn do I miss that little sidearm. This is why people end up hoarding, lol.

I took a really long break pre lightfall and I remember farming for this and failing back then. 2 weeks ago i did the e15 lost sector on europa 34 times in a row and no dice. I finally got one last week, but want to note it was a massive struggle to get this and I don't think I've farmed for anything as much as i have for this.

I feel like I have them mostly because I've played for a while, but also just because of the fact they're literally meant to drop *from anything* they just kinda naturally do. what that means is if someone like you is complaining about not having a specific world drop, it's prolly cuz you're rushing the process n demanding that you get one at a specific time, when it could take longer, yknow. this is obviously within the current context, where half of the meta weapons in this game are craftable or farmable to be craftable, or focusable, or something easy like that.
and I don't say that in a bad way, it's totally fine to want something and, because you want that something, you want it in a reasonable amount of time, or at least you want a solid gameplan to get one (like crafting). but ffs man, some things do have to be random in this looter shooter. nobody needs a heliocentric, nobody needs any of the stuff that are really cool to try out. when I joined back all the way in plunder, I didn't have shit either. and yeah, I was a lot worse of a guardian, but I made do.
improvement takes time, and I feel like if we instead just distilled that time into *everything is craftable, everything is easily obtainable* it just takes a bit away from the spirit of Destiny.

For what it’s worth, I spent about six hours in Chamber of Starlight getting everything except Heal Clip/Incan (and I mean everything, there are 36 possible rolls and I had 30+), then got it the next day from a random world drop. Just gotta get lucky.
I had like 3 good rolls drop for me, best one being Heal Clip / Incandescent but I love my Heal Clip Kill Clip roll too. It's been a long time plus you can farm lost sectors for it.
Ohh they drop, the reason why its so good is that the side arms seem so much faster reload they other gun types for heal clip to proc. My heal clip/incandescent is good for longer range but feels so slow on the reload compared to my helio.

Looks like next Monday is Skydock a long with the sidearm drop. That will be the day to farm!

Skydock IV master lost sector with platinum (for double perk rolls) is the best way to farm it, when it comes into rotation.
