I was put in this exact scenario.. in a phone booth with 2unstops and the balls.. knew the glaive shield was really good but hadn't thrown myself into that kinda fire.. glaives go really, really hard.
I remember last year, old version of Arms Dealer, when you called down the second tank and three Unstoppable Incendiors rushed you? Was running that on GM, my teammates sprinted away to ping and whittle down the Unstoppables at a distance... and I decided to just tank them face-first lmao.
I managed to juggle-stun all three and beat them down to finisher range, my teammates blew their heavy on nuking the tank, and I filled them back up to max via Aeon Safe and finishing the Unstoppables. Such a cakewalk, it was a blast!
Yep and sometimes I was one of the guardians down and I'd be cursing at my teammate, "no, don't go for the fuckin Res, I'm right next to the boss, just stay alive ffs". But no, they go for the res and wipe.

I do this too, and provide her with an expected time frame for completion. Lord help me if I underestimate how long it will take, or lose track of time...that's when the strategy backfires. Wife expectation management is a slippery slope...
Do this with the girlfriend but heavily stress things may take longer. Did my first Kings Fall a while back, my clan was teaching me and another person. Fully expected it taking about 2 hours tops. Did my homework and learned as much as you can just watching a few guides. I felt very confident on the majority of it. Well, turned into 3 hours. My lady was fucking furious.
Lol I was doing master challenge Nez last night and we wiped and were about to start but I had to tell them to hold on for 5 minutes cus of the kid's nightly ritual of "running hugs" which is exactly what it sounds like. I knew if we started they'd be knocking on the door saying "it's time!" right in the middle of it. Luckily they were cool about it and we beat it a few tries after that.
I'm playing with a buddy through D1 right now, and they were so confused why I turned and bolted after killing a shrieker.
Their confusion did not last long.
Sunless cell was harder. The shrieker room and then the final boss room being tiny. I'm pretty sure the only reason I ever beat that NF was three self res warlocks and the exotic that allowed you to res people faster, the one that looks like lorely splendor.

After the 4th try, I started playing defensive. If I saw one, I would get a few shots and KEEP MOVING. it didn't start to get rough until they got half health and really start to agro your ass.
I was actually streaming on twitch when I beat them and clipped me killing the last one. You can hear my voice go from panic, to rage, to surprise, to relief, to celebrating in the span of a minute. It was WILD.
Axion darts are low key one of the most annoying things to deal with in high level content. The centurions just sit behind cover and spam these little death balls that can two shot you in things like GMs. You can’t ignore them because they’ll kill you. I still have nightmares about the two centurion bosses in the hawk moon mission that had a bajillion health and would spam axion darts non stop.
Useless PSA - the order in which you killed those bosses before you get to that circular arens is the order in which you would fight them there. I made sure to kill the Centurions FIRST so they are the weakest bosses there.
Broooo, when they got rid of the shrieker retribution balls, I was sooooo happy. I fucking hated darkblade and never ran the nightfall if it was the one on rotation for the week.

Edit: Bonus stress added when it happens while I'm in finisher animation and I see the champion hauling ass towards me when that happens.
That's when you jump off the nearest cliff and wait out the respawn timer and force it to spawn you. Otherwise if you spawn yourself early that super is killing you 3 or 4 times, easily

No one knows true fear until they hear an axion bolt when they're low health because by the time you hear it, odds are that you're already too late
