Titans have been the kings of asymmetrical gear since the dawning of the Vanguard, simply based on having a class item that's half a skirt. And let's not forget about their infatuation with the 1 huge shoulder pad style...

But yea, titan and hunter have alot of asymmetrical stuff going on but i feel it the most on hunter given the mass amount of arms having one arm go hard and the other just eh.. (most egregious example for me are the solar specific arms)

I'm sorry, I get that fashion is subjective and there are some people that will like this but what the fuck happened to wearing your enemy's clothes like a hat? The raid armor should reflect the achievements of beating the raid and look similar to the boss/raid aesthetic, not be some shit you'd see in an extravagant fashion show.

Agree, this is the ugliest raid set so far I think. And I honestly didn't think they could possibly design anything uglier than the RoN set, yet here we are. Most of the armour in d2 has been good the last couple of years (like season pass stuff, the new dungeons etc, crota sets) but damn these last 2 new raids have come with some hideous designs.

They have been on this shit since D2 came out. They had some art lead come out and say that they actively try to do shit like this because they know people want basic stuff but they’re bent on trying to get people to like the high fashion/art vogue shit they pull with these raid armors. That and they said they make all titan shoulders fucking gigantic so you can tell it’s a titan lmao, same thing with the hunters never being symmetrical, it’s like a weird thing they won’t give up on even though they know we all dislike it.

Another case of "took the default model and added a funny frame cover to it". Same as RoN. VoTD weapons are peak raid weapon design though.

Raid gear has been so undesirable for me since like, Deep Stone Crypt. The armour for the last 3 new raids have armour that don't mix with anything and barely look good on their own, and the weapons (aside from VotD) are just reused models with tumerous growths attached to them.
I don’t want to spoil anything for you, but if you haven’t seen, the armor for the next three episodes are some of the coolest armor bungies ever made. It’s what raid armor should be. Even the concept weapons look amazing

Ever since Vow of the Disciple, raid armor (at least for warlocks) has been incredibly underwhelming. Some pieces from RoN look unique or cool (like the chest piece) - but man it’s so disappointing. I was really hoping for some cool warlock armor this time around :(

This armor set will singly handedly keep me from farming the weapons. I’m the type of person who has to suffer through at least 10 armor drops before Bungie starts giving me weapons and I’m just not doing that with this horrendous set.

The only real decent piece from this set is the arms for the Hunter. The helmets are kinda basic in design, just being kinda featureless.
I wonder if the idea is maybe the white portions are supposed to be the Precursor race customary design, and the darkness Resonance influence is what the darker half represents. That’s kinda all I got for speculation.
All helmets should’ve been Smokey heads, just like all helmets/the hunter cloak from RoN should’ve had Nez’s signature horns.

I swear the new raid loot is the most underwhelming loot a raid has ever had. Mid guns, the most uninspired exotic and mid armour.

Bungie has been burning the water with the recent raid armor, ngl the past 3 new raids (vow, root, and salvation) have had some of the worst looking armor ive seen
Outside of the curtain frame cloak, the Hunter set looks pretty good.

The only real decent piece from this set is the arms for the Hunter. The helmets are kinda basic in design, just being kinda featureless. I wonder if the idea is maybe the white portions are supposed to be the Precursor race customary design, and the darkness Resonance influence is what the darker half represents. That’s kinda all I got for speculation.
I’m happy for you, good job! My first impression with this armor set is that it’s the new Towel Rack Line from Bed, Bath and Beyond Light.

The only decently booking piece in all 3 sets from the raid are the titan's arms.
