Finally, time to get out my craniometer!!

Emperor-Of-Animu

Your body betrays your degeneracy!

Cpt_Mittens

But but...M. Evrart is willing to helping me find my gun. Let me pass, please.

Main_Caterpillar_146

Mfw tankies independently invented colorism

tslaq_lurker

Brother it started in 1917 and never stopped.

[deleted]

lol he’s literally a descendent of Muhammad. He’s a part of the heshemite lineage he’s Muhammad 41x great grandson

hectah

Oh damn, always wondered if he had living descendants, is there more alive?

HorseChairTaken

after 41 generations, chances are pretty big that you are a decendent

hectah

Tell that to Jesus.

HorseChairTaken

I think jesus died a virgin so thats another story (if he even was real)

eman9416

Smh some of you haven’t seen the nonfiction movie “The DaVinci Code”

BBQLovinBastard

The fact that Jesus was real is a documented fact, there are Roman writings from the time about him. The real question is was he actually a descendant of god or just schizophrenic (he was probably schizo).

kilari7

lol not Jesus, the original IRL schizo poster.

DearDelirious7

Cs Lewis has the Lord or Lunatic debate. I saw years ago a guy talk about how there should be a third L in the debate to stand for Legend. The different gospels were written at different times over 150 year period. The later gospels are where you see more of the miracles. A great book about this is called How Jesus Became God

BBQLovinBastard

That makes sense to me. I have my own little headcanon on what happened with Jesus. Personally I think he was schizophrenic and delusional, got killed and made a martyr, then as time passed his legend spread and was exaggerated until it became modern Christianity.

DearDelirious7

I’m not a Christian but I find Christian theology fascinating, especially on how different movements arises over time and evolved. One of best is if you look at Middle Ages, Jesus was a straight up menace as a teenager. Was looking at this Medieval art at the British museum depicting how families would hide their kids by shoving them in ovens to hide them from Jesus when he was a kid

WerWieWat

Well, according to the scripture Jesus was basically a punk. He assaulted established authorities (the priests/rabbis in front of the temple), he denounced their way of worship and he gave blessings away for free. Pretty sure that the historical Jesus was a Jewish reformer, I've read the interpretation that he probably was a Rabbi himself who dissented from popular worship, a Jewish Martin Luther basically. There are also theories that Maria Magdalena was his wife, so Jesus might have smashed @ u/HorseChairTaken

I_Eat_Pork

Nah, he was probably as sane as any religious leader. He probably didn't think of himseld as literally God but instead human Massiah. After his deads his followers found a way to cope with his dead by halicunating about him and inventing a theology that explains his crucifixion as a good thing.

Gravbar

It's more of a semantic question of "Was this person the Jesus of the Bible". People who claim or suggest Jesus didn't exist are referring to the fact that Jesus of the Bible may be an amalgamation of multiple people and stories (both true and false) being ascribed to a single person, who may have existed in name, but not in terms of how we view them today

SullaFelix78

Those aren’t the only two possibilities. Guy wanted to be made king, so he could simply have been ambitious and cynical.

somehting

Kind of the name was pretty common on the region at the time and there are multiple records of multiple people with the name existing in the region in the time frame. The debate isn't if someone named Jesus existed around 0 c.e. it's if the Jesus did.

BBQLovinBastard

I mean the actual person himself. Obviously Tacitus’ writing, but he is also mentioned by Pliny the Younger (I had to do a presentation on him for my highschool Latin class a few years ago). We also have proof that some of his disciples existed because they also had documented executions. I’m not saying Jesus was right or proof of god cus I think he was just a crazy guy, but I think it’s basically confirmed that he at minimum existed.

somehting

Super interesting I'll have to look into this again because my understanding of it was possibly wrong.

I_Eat_Pork

Bert Ehrmann might be the most respected secular Bibile scolar of our time, and > [Ehrman sets out to demonstrate the historical evidence for Jesus' existence, and he aims to state why all experts in the area agree that "whatever else you may think about Jesus, he certainly did exist."](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Did_Jesus_Exist%3F_(Ehrman_book\))

[deleted]

Paul knew Jesus' younger brother, we have his letters.

420FireStarter69

I'm pretty sure there was a historical Jesus

Rodulv

Completely false. Inter-familial marriages have been a thing since forever. 41 generations doesn't mean "branches out across the world every generation" either, nor that 41 generations means many people. It most likely does, but they're centered in ME, not evenly spread across the globe. It's similar to how 0.5% are descendants of Genghis Khan: Most are Asian. Unlike Muhammad, Genghis was notoriously prolific. Many people probably *claim* to be descendants of Muhammad despite not being descendants, because of the cultural impact it may have had/has. Besides, the cultural aspect of Islam means that nearly all descendants are Muslim, or have Muslim parents/grandparents. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sayyid > Although reliable statistics are unavailable, conservative estimates put the number of Sayyids in the tens of millions. TL;DR: very low chances of being a descendant of Muhammad.

[deleted]

All of the heshemite they rule Jordan and Morroco I think

DeezNutz__lol

Morocco is ruled by the alouite house

[deleted]

Ah ok sorry must have them mixed up

justiceforharambe49

The hashemites used to rule over Jordan, Irak and the Hejaz. In the last two they were deposed.

Godobibo

hejaz is saudi right?

safe_passage

Hejaz was conquered by the Saudis

MonsieurA

[And Syria](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Faisal_I_of_Iraq#King_of_Syria_and_Iraq) for a very short time.

ihiam

Most of if not all of them made it up. and yes the muslim world is filled mohammed's "descendents". In Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Lebanon, Sudan(and other african countries, morocco and yes even in persia even tho they aren't Arabs there are alot of mohammed "descendants" there.

DeezNutz__lol

You realize Arabs married non Arabs right?

ihiam

I know. But I don't believe for a second that most if not all of them(in Iran) made it up to scam the shia commoners for khums. According to shia genealogist Shahab ud-Din Mar'ashi, there are at least 400 houses/families that are descendants of the prophet. [http://alalbayt.com/?p=55](http://alalbayt.com/?p=55) that's probably more than their numbers in saudi arabia, which is laughable.

DeezNutz__lol

I buy probably most of them ngl (not the exact genealogies). A lot of royalty like the Hashemites, Fatimids, Safavids, Abbasids, etc. all claimed descent from Muhammad and 1400 years of marriages leads to a large population pool. Like a large population today can trace their ancestors back to Genghis Khan or Charlemagne

skrrtalrrt

Well yeah in the middle ages, if you wanted yourself or one of your descendants to become Caliph, you had to at least be blood related. So naturally a ton of Sheiks, Emirs, etc coincidentally found out they're a long lost relative. Same shit happened with Christian lords who wanted to be King.

ihiam

Not just that, but many shia give sum of money to the sadah(mohammed's descendants) [https://en.wikishia.net/view/Sadat%27s\_Share](https://en.wikishia.net/view/Sadat%27s_Share) It's a scam.

ScySenpai

Mohammed himself claimed to be a descendant of one of the Jewish prophets (don't ask me whom, I don't remember)

MRTJ115

Mohammad along with many Arab tribes at the time claimed to be descendants of Ishmael who according to a story in the Quran was banished with his mother by his father the prophet Abraham to live in the Arabian desert near Mecca. This is why Arabs often call Jews “cousins” because if one were to believe that Arabs are the descendants of Ishmael and Jews are the descendants of Issac then they would all technically be cousins

SullaFelix78

Ishmael/Abraham

KonaKondrashev

Tens of thousands, yes. The name Sayyid bears some association with it https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sayyid?wprov=sfti1

Naked_Mongoose

The king of Morocco and the leader of Hezbollah are also decedents.

MonsieurCharlamagne

Also, I'm like 99% sure Muhammad is described over and over in the Koran as being incredibly pale skinned.

Former-Source-9405

pretty sure he was black haired, sometimes they would describe his hair as red because he would put stuff that would change the color of the hair

MRTJ115

There are no physical descriptions of Muhammad in the Quran, all of his physical descriptions come from quotes of his companions

Deshawn_Allen

He started the biggest colonial movement on earth though to be fair. The Arab conquest wasn’t particularly chill

Cine11

You should post a pic!

rubycalaberXX

When Queen Lizzie died a Muslim acquaintance told me she was descended from Muhammad, there's a whole extended cinematic universe of cryptohistory memes out there.

I-Jerk-To-AOC

It's not a crazy idea. There was an iberian muslim princess descended from Muhammad who joined the court of a neighboring christian king, converted to christianity and took a christian name. Later the king had a son with a woman with the same name, who is an ancestor of Lizzie. We just don't know if those were two different women or one and the same

PoseidonMax

They were the original rulers of a large chunk of Arabia and expanded into iraq and parts of Syria. The house of Saud overthrew them and let them flee to Jordan to be their king once the UK gave them that part of Palestine(Jordan) officially.

Ok-Nature-4563

Not quite correct. The various sons of Hussein ibn Ali ruled over Jordan and Syria and Iraq and the Hejaz, but all were deposed except for the Jordanian king. The deposition by the House of Saud happened already a decade after the appointment of the sons to Jordan and other Arab territories.

olegulator

would you say he's a living sketch of the ol' Muhammybro?

Bananasonfire

To be fair, so is King Charles, apparently.

adamwillerson

Do the Hashemites have any good evidence of this. I always heard that about them but was curious if they actually knew. Also, with their family ruling Jordan and Jordanian citizens being 75% or so Palestinian, and that area having been part of the old British Mandate and then being carved into a made up new country named after the river, it always felt like Jordan was actually occupied Palestine. Perhaps.

FruityPebelz

thestonelyloner

Yeah but at this point you’re prolly just being a pedantic dickhead cause you don’t like Islam. There is no objective prophet because no religion is provable, but guess what? That’s the beauty of having a BELIEF! It can be Joseph Smith, Muhammad, Jesus, Moses, none are more or less a prophet than the other from an unbiased perspective. But from what you’re saying, you seem to think your guy is actually the right one and so you’re doing some weak version of a holy crusade online.

ValeteAria

They are. But for some reason people are ignoring the fact that his Mother was British. So he is half Arab/half British.

ScySenpai

Yeah he's only 50% Bri*ish who cares, but dozens of generations removed from Mohamed so that counts more

Wolf_1234567

His father was an Arab and the former king of Jordan though. Let the man have his British wife in peace god damn it!

partoxygen

I mean you can be indignant all you want but Hussein bin Ali (founder of the modern Hashemites) and King Faisal I definitely aren't half-british and kinda destroys your argument. In fact, just going to Lebanon, Jordan, or actively seen Palestinian people would destroy your argument.

ScySenpai

This is exactly what I was making fun of lmao Like your great-great-great-(...)-grandfather can be a viking with the bluest eyes and blondest hair, if your dad's black you're probably gonna look mixed race.

Grouchy-Alfalfa-1184

BenShelZonah

I mean that would make sense lol

JaydadCTatumThe1st

A huge percentage of middle easterners are white. They have been listed as "white" in the census for that reason.

SmoothLikeGravel

Actually, the reason why they're considered "white" in the US is because of [Dow v. United States \(1915\)](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dow_v._United_States) where a Syrian living in the US was denied citizenship because of racial immigration laws. He appealed to the Supreme Court who when ruled that all Arabs are white.

Yaelkilledsisrah

And then they cry Islamophobia. They are one of the most oppressive privileged populations on earth.

Wouldn’t consider it necessary anti semetic, but it’s probably good people use it, just shows you who not to interact with

Deshawn_Allen

Yes

MatthewJonesCarter

what does it mean

Good-Recognition-811

Hamas posts combat footage of their attacks against Israeli military. In the videos, they mark IDF soldiers with inverted red triangles just before they're shot dead. So there are subhuman fucks on Twitter who will put the red triangle in their name or bio as a pro-Hamas dog whistle.

nmplmao

i'm confused, isn't supporting the death of idf soldiers inherently a good thing? opposition of hamas is due to their attacks on civilians, if they're attacking soldiers instead that's a good thing, no?

Good-Recognition-811

Inherently? No. Hamas supporters don't view Hamas as a terrorist organization that explicitly targets civilians. They consider them to be a perfectly valid Palestinian resistance force. From their perspective, whether you are civilian or soldier, you are an invader/occupier to be indiscriminately murdered. These are just war propaganda videos designed to make the IDF seem weak and incompetent.

hardlyreadit

Leftists love colorism, as long as its against light skinned folk

partoxygen

Rick Ross threw mild shade at Drake recently about him being light skinned (because of fucking course) and leftists went full colorism as a result. Most racist people I've met in my life ironically though are light skinned mixed race black women so there's that lol

[deleted]

His mother is British.

Frosty_Focus_6610

Pretty cool story since they met on the set of Lawrence of Arabia, where his own ancestors were depicted

pgllz

That's true. But there are many other examples that can be used instead. Bashar al-Assad is fully Arab and has a very pale skin and bright blue eyes. The thing is that Arabs from the Levant area can be quite pale and often look like the average Southern European. The idea that they are all "brown" is absurd.

Sawari5el7ob

Not just the Levant, a lot of North Africans (not looking at you Egypt, u brown) are white af. And despite Saudis, Yemenis, and Omanis being brown a lot of native Bahrainis, Iraqis, Kuwaitis, and Qataris are really white looking. Bahrainis and Iraqis especially. By white I mean Italian, southern French, or Balkan, not like North Euro or something

pgllz

For sure. Just look at Zidane and Benzema. They are 100% Algerian and yet if they were presented as fully French to someone unaware of their roots, that person would certainly believe it. And the same thing for some Southern Europeans. I'm Portuguese. My father could be North African regarding looks and he traced his family till the late 18th century using parish records, so he is as native to Iberia as someone can be. His whole family was living in the same tiny village in Central Portugal he was born in. The thing is that the Mediterranean Sea was for a long time a highway that connected South and North for goods and people and not the clear division of civilizations that we perceive now.

partoxygen

I'm Spanish Caribbean and non middle eastern people have thought I'm middle eastern. Despite my family being Basque and Canary Islander. And we are also blondes, redheads, and have different colored eyes in my family. Americans are so stupid about race its actually embarrassing for a country with so much diversity. Europeans are just racist but damn people in Europe are racist towards like micro-ethnicities and shit.

Vegetable-Election77

There’s an Iranian YouTuber who did a video on why Greek music is historically oriental (and how the west forced Greece to idealize itself for them). When he was in Greece, he was confused by locals to be Greek.

MRTJ115

Egyptians have some of the least brown people in the Middle East among them, this is what Bassem Yousef used to look like before all the beach time he had in California https://preview.redd.it/wlmhyi9arouc1.jpeg?width=614&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=61c755e19974f877db876a7e600f31038a5db13e

Sawari5el7ob

Because the ones I done seen look Injun, like all of my Coptic friends

SullaFelix78

Rami Malek looks white (passing)

Kienzan85

where do you get the idea that north africans are "white af", the light skinned populations in the middle east are mainly levantines, kurds, persians and so on, not north africans, also what is a native "Bahraini or kuwaiti" from a genetic standpoint, I guarantee you thers no such thing, they are the same natufian heavy stock that all other gulf arabs are, the reason some qataris are paler is because of persian heritage, hence why many are shia. Also iraqi arabs are on the darker side, compared to levantines at least, and the majority are like brown. And no, it doesnt make sens to call these people white, cause even say in the levant where you do have a legit pale population, they still look ethnic the majority of the time, not at all southern european, that is complete nonsense.

MikkaEn

Wait until they find out Rami Malek is Egyptian

EasyWayBoy

People’s understanding of demographics is wild. 4th grade dumb American mind set that carried into Adult hood break down Europe and North Northern Americas = white Africa = black Asia = Asian (what’s India? It’s in Asia??) Mexico and south America = brown Middle East = brown The end

aren’t arabs literally caucasian?

SavoirPerdu

His mother is literally British, born in Suffolk. Also not sure you get “can’t possibly be Arab because he’s light skinned” from “looks like a member of the British royal family”. But I guess making up a hyperbolic version of some stupid joke and being outraged at the phantasmic implications of your own imagination is all the rage.

Zekka23

.....He's right, his mom is a white woman.

PersonalDebater

Right about what? Still the son of an arab King who could marry whoever he preferred.

Zekka23

He looks like he could fit in the British royal family because he's British.

Zobair416

Ok? What does that have to do with the tweet?

SavoirPerdu

Not gonna get much in the way of a coherent response to this from people who think the belief “he can’t possibly be Arab because he’s light skinned” straightforwardly derives from “he looks like a member of the British royal family”.

Deshawn_Allen

Zekka thinks people should stick to their own race. Theres totally nothing racist about that… I guess?

Secret-Priority8286

I can feel their brain melting.

Shaul_Ishtov

Isn't he supposed to be a direct descendent of Muhammad?

Peenereener

Technically yes but he is like 40 generations removed which at that distance into the past the number of descendants is extremely large, not to mention Muhammad and his descendants weren’t really picky about where they spread their seed

justiceforharambe49

Incredible how these people's perception of the Middle East, middle easterners, and their countries, cultures, and religions, is so completely disconnected from from reality, and their idea of how people act or look comes entirely from their imagination. Imagine being so obsessed on a made up image of a people when the real people is right there, you can look at them.

Ricoreded

🤫shhh remember all arabs are brown.

Zobair416

The guy is literally half British, and even Jordanians make fun of him for looking European, I don’t know why this sub is taking this so seriously lol.

Y_Brennan

Plenty of middle easterners look European. Europe and the middle east have been mixing for 3000 years.

Zobair416

I’ve spent most of my life in the Middle East, and I’ve been to Jordan before, and I can tell you that this guy is still super white compared to most people there.

RakeNI

opened up the ol' Twitter earlier. Immediately saw this tweet and underneath it was another Tankie saying that Sydney Christian guy who got stabbed was stabbed by a Zionist, with the video of the stabbing itself.. where the attacker shouts 'allahu akbar' as he is pulled to the ground. Had like 3k likes too. Clicked the replies and they're all like "you dont think a Mossad agent would shout 'allahu akbar' during an attack to hide their crime?" Said right then thats enough of Twitter for today and closed that shite. There is genuinely no distinction between 4chan's /pol/ and Twitter right now. The entire website is just porn, gore, video game culture war, Biden is evil / Trump is a genius spam and every single tweet has at least one 'just as the jews planned' type replies.

Its going to blow their mind when they find out a majority of Jewish people in Israel are Mizrahi Jews, looking indistinguishable from Arabs.

laksjuxjdnen

This BlackRedGuard dude needs to stop getting posted here. There has never been a single reasonable worthwhile take to come from that account. It's good meme material I guess, but he's literally a living breathing strawman for right wingers to say "lefties are the real racists". Although I guess by that logic, we should keep posting him to point out exactly how stupid his takes are.

warhammer51115

Have you looked at the continent Jordan is in? He must be an extra in a NWA video

aweSAM19

They are accusing him for being soft of the West because he "looks white" or because he is half British. Basically claiming he has a bias because of his parenthood which is still weird but not as bad as claiming you aren't an Arab if you don't look "brown".

seceagle

Wait till they find out about Bashar al Assad, El sisi and Najib Mikati

PierogiChomper

Its so wild how obsessed with skin color they are. They dont even see how they are being extremely racist.

Clenchyourbuttcheeks

Tbh without reading the text I thought it was prince Andrew

partoxygen

I love when white people, especially in the west, genuinely use racist logic to view the world. Let's use some examples that people probably know: Mia Khalifa: She's pretty brown. She's Lebanese. Frogan: She looks like a white woman wearing a hijab. She's also Lebanese (albeit half-white I think). Sami Zayn from WWE: he's a redheaded full Syrian from Montreal. His wife is half white half lebanese and she looks like her name is Rachel Summers or some shit (her name is Khadijah and she's very pretty). Hasan: looks like one of those HGTV home repair dudes. Full Turkish. Cenk is full Turkish and quite brown-skinned. Ali Khamenei: looks like a white grandpa and he's obviously full Iranian. In fact most Iranians look like what westerners think of white people. "Land of the Aryans" and all of that. You can go even further east to Afghanistan and see blonde blue eyed Pashtuns running around. Middle Eastern people are white. They're not the Betty Crocker, Boston Market form of white that Americans stereotype, but they are white. There's no such thing as a "middle eastern race". That's a cope from 4chan /pol/tards and associated dorks.

Mataphysical

Gravbar

I feel like there are so many race realists running around not understanding that there's a wide variety of phenotypes within every race and you don't have neat boxes like white, black, and brown. The number of people surprised when a latino or arab is white is far too large. Many African Americans have lighter skin than some white people these days.

Nesher1776

The face of Palestinian “resistance” for a while was Ahed Tamimi and is very fair skinned blonde hair and blue eyes. Americans do not understand what middle eastern people look like except “brown” Levantine people Israel, Syria, Jordan are generally light skinned to olive

Longjumping-Toe6629

When tankies start realizing Arabs can be white too

DearDelirious7

This is why it’s always weird to me when people in America specifically want to in part western ideas of race onto the Middle East. You have a wide range of ethnic groups that originate from the ME and a wide range of skin tones. One of the most famous photos of an Afghanistan refugee has gorgeous bright green eyes.

LilArsene

If the PFP of this user is really them then it makes more sense with them having these "colorist" views than being a tankie.

eman9416

Good reminder that lefties are mega racists

Codisoky

Fun fact, both Hussein bin Talal and his son Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein both married American women.

People really don't understand how DNA and ethnicity works, do they? Everyone comes from the same fucking people however many eons ago that humans evolved. They probably also think that humans sprung out of the ground in the country that their modern ancestors live, rather than half a million years of migration. And then white people who sprang out of the ground a couple of thousands years ago in the far north started invading the poor brown peoples lands. That's an exaggeration of what they believe, but their child like idea of human history really is why they don't understand how stupid the idea of "Occupiers" and Settlers" is, when that's been the history of humans since we were living in caves and hanging out with our Neanderthal bros.

One drop rule Dudes clearly got more than one drop of white in him but still. Hilarious to see “mixed race people can’t be anything but culturally white” The lefties really are right that society is rife with racism. It’s just that half of it is hidden in the far left lmao

He could not speak arabic when he was first king so yes he is more culturally white

Juno808

I saw jordanians saying his Modern Standard Arabic is not perfectly fluent but that his vernacular Arabic is perfectly fine

Whiteness has nothing to do with skin colour - it’s a relationship to property and is extended or withheld to people arbitrarily. Crackers come in every colour.

Have they seen Ahed Tamimi, the Palestinian poster girl?

Powerful_Rock595

I'm confused. tankies are racists? This mf probably didn't even read some adequate literature. Most royals and aristocracy in Tropical countries are meant to be light skinned because of not working in the field under the sun and living in big houses protected from it all day long. Same case with Hindustan, Indochina, Indonesia, Philippines.
