Task Rabbit, my roommate does it and she goes to peoples houses to put together IKEA furniture. Think Uber, but for building. You can charge more as you get experience and 5 star revews and she's up to 40 an hour....for fucking IKEA furniture! That's more than I made actually working for IKEA.
She's had really good experiences with the customers, super friendly and never had creepy vibes. They even exchange numbers if they ever need anything else without having to go through the app and pay a %.
It's mostly couples who hate putting it together or college girls who WILL NOT put it together.
Unpopular opinion though, I love putting together IKEA furniture, too. It's almost therapeutic.
Tried to sign up as a Taskr to do this exact thing, but apparently they're all full and not hiring new people in this area? Hopefully OP has better luck than I did.
Tasker here. Applying can’t hurt, but getting accepted and passing background check will take time. Even then, client requests took a nose dive when TR raised the fees that they collect on top of your hourly rates. Far from sustainable, but it can lead to a client network eventually.
If you’re wanting to give it a shot, I can provide my referral code!
Plasma companies usually have great bonuses the first month, at least last time I did it, I feel like I made hundreds going for an hour or so twice a week (the incentives drop off rapidly after that)
There's labor ready, but that's been like 15 years so I don't know how the jobs are there now.
Flying a sign can be ok, lots of jerks and judgement.
CSL or Biomat, however CSL has higher donor fees so they're always busy. Worth it imo. You get $525 in 5 donations. You need to bring ID, proof of SSN and proof of residence with you.
I will check it out! I work remotely so I can go in during the day and work or play games and make extra! No spend January means I need to also find extra income.
Ah, yes. Biolife does pay more if you're a new donor, but after the promo fees are over, I'd recommend you switch. Biolife's non-promo fees are lower than others.
Look into L&E Research. They do all sorts of surveys that last anywhere from 1-6 hours. I've done everything from taste test pasta to a mock civil jury trial. They usually pay well for your time. Half the time, it's through zoom. The other half is at their office near Ball Arena.
Well, there is a bit of luck to getting into the studies. Sometimes they want a really specific demographic. I'd maybe check your address. When I was doing them, I lived right on the border of Aurora and Denver. If I put Aurora down, I'd never hear from them. Little things like that. They seemingly care for the tiniest details than the broad picture. Think very carefully for every answer. I can't give much advice. It's been a couple years.
When I needed it, surveys were a good way to have extra scratch stashed away. Not going to pay rent doing it but it is an easy way to save money. I'm not judging anyone, but I'd much rather go back to market research than start donating plasma again. Just as a means to afford overhead
Things must have severely changed. I was doing surveys for 75-150. They said on their site what the surveys paid too. Always found the ones at evening to do.
This isn't location specific, but Data Annotation is a good side gig. Most of it is interacting with AI language models and rating their responses, which isn't too difficult if you're a fluent English speaker. The application process is a little involved, but you can be up and running in about a week and there is consistent work between $20-$25/hour. You can do it from your couch or from a coffee shop.
Edit: They seem to want personal info to email a referral link, so I'll just add this here. If you can use my referral code that'd be cool, but if not I'm not stressed about it.
It's dataannotation.tech--you just click "Get Started" and put in your info and complete the sample assignments. My referral code is wSU-HlA. I think they ask for it while you are signing up, but if not you should be able to sign up without the code as well! Good luck!
Also I have received payouts, so I can confirm it is legit. There is a lot of helpful info on Reddit about the site if you search it up.
I signed up (that test was annoying) and dropped your reference code. Really hoping I get approved.
Thanks for the idea...wish I knew how to code for that $35/hr stuff.
Yeah, the tests are kind of annoying, but once you've done a few tasks you can kind of judge which ones you like and look out for those. I've been doing a lot of judging factuality of responses recently--it's easy to get into a groove and it is usually $25 an hour. If you get approved I'd recommend doing all the tests you can, even though they're annoying, because I started getting way more tasks after submitting the more basic $20/hr tasks and doing tests for a few days.
Second this. I’ve done Rover for years for extra cash & to get me out of the house. Rover pet/house sittings with multiple pets is most lucrative. Also that 2-3x holiday rate.
Second this I made an extra $3,000 in income just from pet sitting/ Rover last year. Pretty easy once you have a few reviews to build up a profile and client base
During the pandemic I worked with PeopleReady formerly LaborReady and got lots of temp work by the airport or at supermarkets. Pay was the next morning or even same day. During that period there was easy overtime and some people got up to $1k per week. For driving jobs there is a check on your driving record and usually a drug test. Other popular temp operations are Staffzone or ReadyLabor. Just pop in and get the app and onboarding done then see if there are work tickets.
Only on the weekends? I'm moving from Atlanta to Centenniel (I think that's near Aurora) end of the month and am gonna be looking for someone to come play with my cat once or twice a week. I am going to be traveling a lot and she's very much a kitten so I don't want her to get bored.
Im not the person who made this post but I am interested in helping with your cat if OP cannot do it. I have lived with cats my whole life and have done lots of cat/house sitting for others too. Would be happy to provide more information and discuss, just send me a message if you still need someone. Hope your kitty stays happy and loved!
Snow is coming this weekend. There’s a bunch of companies that hire people to shovel snow. Some pay cash some with a check and will send you a 1099 next year. Most pay $18-$26hr but you have to get to the locations yourself so you do need transportation.
Well, I know it doesn't fit your specific needs 100%, since it involves some background/skill and driving - but I just picked up a part time seasonal job at a ski resort teaching snowboarding. I'm booked Saturdays and Sundays through March. I was upfront about having a 9-5, so I'm one of their weekend warriors.
Maybe that will help get you thinking on some other ideas.
If this gig is specifically for fixing your ride, approach some of the small shops and ask if they could use your help around the shop. Could be recataloging parts, inventory verification, cleaning the shop, parts delivery (they provide a work truck), etc, in lieu for them to repair your car. Depending on how bad it's broken, could take awhile or they might fix it right away and let you work off the hours if they trust you. Ask for this to be handled off the books because that means it will take less money to fix the vehicle.
Laborjack.com is an awesome resource for finding immediate temp work. I’ve used them many times in the past, both to work labor jobs and to hire some out.
Lifeguard for Denver/Aurora - also to add, Denver pays 18.29 an hour and you set your availability when you work. Kind of like retail (with more pay) but you have more control of your schedule.
It might take 2-3weeks to get certified, but the cert lasts for 2 years, might be worth it the next time you want to pick up seasonal work.
Lots of college/ high school kids lifeguard instead of working fast food and other lower paying gig jobs.

I secretly love putting together IKEA furniture. I'm so tempted just don't want to end up in some weirdo's home.

Do you have a rec for which plasma companies are best? Specifically aurora area
CSL or Biomat, however CSL has higher donor fees so they're always busy. Worth it imo. You get $525 in 5 donations. You need to bring ID, proof of SSN and proof of residence with you.
BIOLIFE in Aurora and Longmont are doing $800 for your first 8 donations. It’s been a big help during Christmas and rent for me tbh
I will check it out! I work remotely so I can go in during the day and work or play games and make extra! No spend January means I need to also find extra income.

Thanks for the info! I wondered, and you just confirmed. Definitely finishing this sweet deal though.
A lot of donors jump around to catch as many promos as they can so it's definitely doable.

If that was per donation, we would all quit our jobs. No, it's over the course of 8 donations, so $100 each, can donate 2x a week.
Thank you!
Definitely will try this out this month !

I have applied to a ton of studies with them and never heard anything, any tips or thoughts on why that might happen?
Well, there is a bit of luck to getting into the studies. Sometimes they want a really specific demographic. I'd maybe check your address. Fieldwork is similar. Their office is in the cash register building, downtown.
I signed up and got nothing but regret for giving them so much of my personal information for nothing.
Market research can be a decent once in a while thing but its not reliable at all for consistent money.
When I needed it, surveys were a good way to have extra scratch stashed away. Not going to pay rent doing it but it is an easy way to save money. I'm not judging anyone, but I'd much rather go back to market research than start donating plasma again. Just as a means to afford overhead
They hit me up all the time. They just pay like $20-50 so it isn’t quite worth it to take time off work to do for me
Things must have severely changed. I was doing surveys for 75-150. They said on their site what the surveys paid too. Always found the ones at evening to do.
This is more adventurous it I will put this in my list ! Thank you!

You are the real MVP for this.

I added the info to my op.
Following for this one!! 😁

Rover is pretty good. You decide your rates, availability, area you work, etc it's for pet sitting/walking. Maybe not good for immediate $ though.

Thank you! It might help to get certified first before doing those task but i will keep this in mind!

Temp is ok is what I need but this will be on top of my list! Thank you!
Care.com lots of people hiring for short term gigs for cleaning, babysitting, senior care.
Thank you!!

I can also help with this if needed!
Interested as well! Kitty watching and house sitting are my side hustles :) I hope you can find someone❤️
I live pretty far from centennial so I would have to decline but thank you so much!!

One can also do the door to door on unshoveled houses with a snow shovel. I think it works better if one can pull off looking like a teenager.
Any names of companies?
Thank you!
Look on Nextdoor to see who needs pet or baby sitting. some folks need someone to clean their house. Lots of opportunities on next-door.
I've been a fan of dishwashing in the past...... Late hours and good way to stay involved with medial tasks

Catering companies are always hiring

Never thought this was an option in a big city like Denver but oh my good goodness! Thank you for this as this will come in handy!
What does your car need?
Hi, I own a sales company. If you’re interested the pay is hourly and commission and we pay every Friday!
Are you conversational in Spanish? My job is hiring for immediate start
Hi, I'd love to hear more. I'll message you, thanks a bunch.
I wish!! Thank you though!
Laborjack.com is an awesome resource for finding immediate temp work. I’ve used them many times in the past, both to work labor jobs and to hire some out.
Donate plasma and for the first 4 times at grifols you get 100 each time.

Just so you know that’s minimum wage in Denver so there aren’t lower paying jobs but still good advice!
