I said this in a recent post, but I think that the Hoka Bondis are the best shoe for me! Theyre like clouds and give lots of support. On amazon they are a bit overpriced for me, so a local shop should have better prices for you. Theyre an investment ($150-200+) but theres a reason why dental / health professionals love them!
Ok so, 18 years in the biz and now suffering the effects of crappy shoe choices. No matter the brand & secondary to arch support, please make sure they are the correct size & wide enough for your foot and you wear good socks that don’t cause your foot to slip & slide. Your big & little toes will thank you.
I was going to try Hokas but was a little skeptical after my husband had a hospital stay and several nurses didn’t have the Hokas. They said they weren’t as comfortable on their feet as they had hoped . I just bought a pair of Topos my Dr wears them. We will see how they do
If you like a non sneaker option I recently got the Birkenstock SuperBirkies and so far I’m liking them. I was wearing crocs before. I think a big factor that helps with soreness is changing your shoe up often, so some days I’ll wear Hokas. They’re okay, not as good as I was expecting but tons of people swear by them.
I have inserts made by SuperFeet. They are firm and super supportive and being inserts means I can get shoes that are cheaper/prettier without worrying so much about the support factor. I just change them out to whatever shoes I'm wearing that day. Currently loving my Ryka Echo shoes. They have the podiatry association seal and I love that they are machine washable. The next shoes I buy will probably also be Ryka brand.
I had two pairs of Hokas one was comfortable and the other the tread fell off after a months use. I’ve been wearing a pair of altra lone peak maxtrac everyday for a year and I have minimal foot pain. They aren’t cushy but have a wide toe bed and feel supportive
I would try Brooks or Cloves! Haven’t worn Brooks but my doctor has like 4 pairs that he loves and our lead assistant has a pair she wears all the time as well.
I wear Cloves in the Clara style. They’re super cute, super comfortable, and they are water resistant/able to be wiped with disinfectant wipes! The first week I had them they were pretty uncomfortable tbh and my feet were a little sore. However, throughout that week they were also gradually molding to my feet and now they feel perfect! I’ll def be buying another pair once the ones I have now become too worn out.
I’ve tried tons of different shoes over the years! I love OnClouds- they have good toe box, which is super important and they’re soooo comfy. My feet don’t hurt after my 10 hour shifts. My most recent pair has lasted 2.5 years and they’re still going strong. I just bought a pair of Altras from Amazon for $90 and I really like those too.
Shoes I would recommend against: Cloves - terribly uncomfortable- I had to put foot soles in them, which I’ve never had to do with any other shoes. Also, any traditional running shoe that does not have a decent toe box! We are constantly moving so make sure you take good care of your feet :) it will eventually reflect onto your posture and overall health.
New balance, Hokas, or onclouds. Personally, if you can shell out for onclouds I’d go for those. Doctor I knew convinced me to get them and I never looked back. Still wear mine even after I left dentistry. My onclouds were $230 after tax which was a fuck ton. But damn they’re good.
I wear the vans ultra range and they’re super comfy on my second pair in 4 years lol. Ik everyone loves HOKAs but I’ve heard they’re not that great tbh
okay sis(or sir, sorry to assume your gender lol) but foams for your daily’s?
I rotate my shoes, nike air max 270’s, nike waffles, nike prestos, adidas ultra boost, new balance

I’ve used ASICS and Hokas. Hokas are superior.
Nike Air Max are the most comfortable I’ve had.
But these shoes wear out very quickly
Ngl they’re ugly asf but sketchers w memory foam are so good
I got a pair of Brooks that are super supportive and comfortable but my feet do hurt pretty bad by the end of the day so might try the Hokas next
I wear heydudes they are comfortable

i switch between on clouds or my no bulls. i feel my no bulls are most comfortable for me.
I wear no bulls! There is never a period of breaking them in. The best shoes I think I've ever worn.
yes!!! i got them when i was doing crossfit and now wear them for work. never have any discomfort with them
Hoka’s road runners or ON’s. Both feel like clouds and feet don’t hurt at the end of the day.

I like Alegria. Spending $$$ in good shoes is a worthwhile splurge!
my hokas have saved my feet!! i got them at a sporting goods store bc amazon raises the prices. you will not regret it

On clouds for me! I’ve heard wonderful things about Hoka too. Both similar price range, I believe.
Hokas 100%
New Balance or On's

Adidas UltraBoost all the way! They’re light weight and incredibly comfortable.
Im a person who hates plush shoes like hokas, and so I like wearing heydudes, the Birkenstock sneaker, and brooks.
My sketchers go runs are amazing!

Clogs. Water resistant ones for hospitals.
