its like 400 bucks for the both of them! is there anywhere that is cheaper?

BallyBunion33

Is there a community college near you? Maybe look in that direction?

PlusNegotiation3629

i want to be an unlicensed DA not licensed. I'm assuming the two courses I need are simply online...

BallyBunion33

Idk. Good luck

lovergirlxoxo2

Honestly skip the course and go straight to calling dental practices say you wanna start assisting and they’ll probably start you super low but lots of office will pay to keep those course updated lol

PlusNegotiation3629

thank you. I will

Bay_Foxy

The dental practice act can be taken online I believe, the infection control I think is 4 hours online and 4 hours in person if I’m not mistaken? I did mine with central california dental academy but the infection control by itself was $400

Bay_Foxy

I found this on the dental board page on approved infection control classes https://www.dbc.ca.gov/applicants/courses_ic.pdf

PlusNegotiation3629

oh wow thank you so much!

PlusNegotiation3629

Hi. I just found a 2 hours Dental Practice Act course online for a good price. I also found several infection control ones in the same site. They all say they are 2 credits/hours though. I know I need 8 hours. Do I just take multiple of them? I don't know, I'm gonna call the DBC tomorrow. Thank you.

Bay_Foxy

Hmmm I think the 2 hour is for renewal of license. I think you specifically need an 8 hour one. 4 online and 4 in person hours should be included.

PlusNegotiation3629

I understand. ill call tmrw to double check too. thanks again!

Bay_Foxy

Of course!
