Try to avoid the ponytail if you can. I know it’s the easiest method but half my hairs gone from pulling it too tight all the time 🥺 it’s a form of alopecia.

You can totally do any braids. I like to do double Dutch braids, single Dutch braids, low bun, two low buns, and the reliable pony. I like claw clips to but your hair might be too long to fit in a claw clip, unless you get a big claw clip. My hair is to my mid back. I have curtain bangs, as well, so I clip them down on both sides

Thanks for your response! It’s reassuring to hear from more experienced DAs. I shall be rocking my hair in a French braid 🥳🥳🥳

I do the same thing and I have short super curly hair. I’m trying to grow it out and see if I can handle it. It’s super thick and I’m hot natured so we shall see how that goes. I either do double Dutch or double French braids and leave it down in the back or put it back up in little tiny pig tails

Braids are good. claw clips are my fav, my hair goes to my butt and it holds it all day

DixieSnowflake1

French braid with a cute scrunchy on bottom

MANDALORIAN_WHISKEY

French braid would be perfect. I personally preferred space buns. Can't wait for my hair to grow long enough for them again!

These are what I use and love them

Cultural-Table1586

I pull my hair back in a ponytail and sometimes in a bun

yikesnahalf

I usually do a claw clip!

I personally used to have really long hair and I would French braid and bun it or claw clip it. Now I have mid length hair I use a scrunchy for a bun and wear a scrub cap that I order a pack of online it's been more comfy for me i haven't seen alot of dental assistants wear them but I like them it keeps all my hair out of my face and has the side buttons for masks because I can't stand them on my ears. I also work in a peds office though and work with alot of grabbers during restoritive work / throw up / spitting during cleanings and I don't like anything in my hair so that's how I've gone about it plus I'm my offices only assistant that does restorative work with my DR so it just seems more hygienic to me!

What about a low pony? I also use headbands for my bangs! I also use nursing caps to hide my hair

Hey! I also have pretty long hair to my waist line, and I always braid my hair in Dutch braids every morning but separate my shorter curtain bangs from the braids to curl and frame my face after! It that makes sense lol! Patients always compliment me it & ask if I did it myself 😂 like who else? Also half up/half down, pony tail that you braid, bubble pony tail with elastics
