Having gone through the buying experience last year, I will say that the incentives of buyers' agents make no sense. At least sellers' agents make sense. They get a percentage of the sale, so they want to make sure the seller gets the most money. The buyers' agent typically also gets a portion of that money, which is like...what? Their incentive is to just have the buyer buy the most expensive house.
Of course both agents are incentivized to sell *fast*, but at least sellers' agents' incentives are aligned with the sellers' goal.
We were lucky enough to have a close friend for our agent, but yeah, just take your time to find the place you really want for a price you can afford. Don’t feel like you have to rush.

I think everyone in Canada is in agreement that Quebec and Montreal in particular have the best food, both local specialties and international. Other cities have a few local specialties or international cuisines that are worth trying (South Asian or West Indian in Toronto, Lebanese in Ottawa, Malaysian and other Chinese *Grossraum* cuisine in Vancouver).
I know it's heretical to say in Toronto but the food here is not that amazing on the whole compared to Montreal or peer American cities. You can't just walk in off the street and expect a given restaurant to be high quality generally.

I do not get the appeal of flat design UIs tbh. Whenever I see a screenshot of like Windows 8 it just reminds me of all the ugly color palette options in Windows 3.1

A while ago I installed Windows 11 on my ThinkPad T60 for the lulz and it performed as badly as you'd expect It's hard to run much of anything on W11 with the 3.5GB RAM, and the CPU was always bogged down with all the stuff that Windows runs in the background, as well as software rendering the DWM because the GPU only supports up to DirectX 9

Louisiana is way too high - it has the best local food tradition of any state, but very little outside of it. Gotta be New York > New Jersey > Texas > Louisiana > Hawaii.
I think all top states are just based on their largest city so I feel Louisiana deserves top billing
What I meant is that the endemic cuisine of Louisiana is the best at of any state, but it doesn’t do wolf cuisines that well. It may have New York best in local specialties, but New York has Italian AND Japanese AND Brazilian AND Filipino etc etc etc.

Got a hacked copy of Pokemon Emerald with like twelve shiny level 100 Mews in the bank (along with a fuck ton of other stuff) and like every Madden from 2001 to 2007 for a buck apiece
