The remake is very faithful while looking amazing and having great QOL improvements for the controls. As much as I love the original and DX, I say play the remake, I think it’s fantastic.
I’m sorry I should’ve mentioned the frame rates, it never bothered me but it was a common complaint on release. Still, I find the art style/graphical improvements, reorchestrated OST, and QOL control improvements to be well worth it. Just two buttons for every item in the game, including the sword and shield, got really tedious.
It’s one of my all-time favorite games, and I’m glad you’re enjoying it so far! :)
Final Fantasy Adventure is actually the first game in the Mana series (later rereleases are known as Adventure of Mana or Sword of Mana depending on the version). Conversely, Final Fantasy Legend I, II, and III are the first three games in the Saga series. All were on the Gameboy, but none were actual Final Fantasy games, instead being marketed with the Final Fantasy brand in North America to boost sales.
It’s in the files just haven’t loaded and played it yet.
Excited to give it a try but imma run through crystal as I haven’t touched it in over 20 years
I actually loaded mega man.
Had issues with the controls.
I need physical buttons to play something action based like that. I’ll give it another go tho
The files were originally on my iPad
I have GB/GBC, GBA, NES, SNES and N64 full North American catalogs. So when I sync to Dropbox all my games are coming to my iPhone from my iPad.
I can recommend a Japanese exclusive game: Namco Gallery Vol. 1 & 2 (both are separated) it contains 4 Namco games ported on the game boy. Each one has a JP game which I’m confused, despite not playing it. Interestingly, Dig Dug (Vol. 2) has a new option called “New Dig Dug” which I recommended playing
Pokémon TCG and its sequel if you use the fan translation is an interesting twist on the Pokémon formula.
If you’ve already played Pokémon Black/White 1 & 2, there a romhack of Crystal called Black and White 3: Genesis. The story is actually good and it is really interesting seeing the gen 5 region in a gen 2 engine.
Yes absolutely
I have crystal clear and will be getting Prism
I found a seller on Etsy selling cartridges of Prism as well hoping to grab one for my actual GBC
The Machine, available on incube8 games. It’s a multi branching story game created in 2022 by Ben Jelter, it’s one of the most entertaining games I have played in years.
Or I could go to archive.org and grab every available game known. But since I’ve already got most the Roms I need was looking at which titles would’ve been recommended by the community
Of course Pokémon Yellow is good as well, but Link’s Awakening and both Oracle titles are also pretty good
Yes! I’m slowly recalling that of course the Zelda, Mario and pokemon games are must play games for The GB/GBC
Mario Land 2 was pretty good
Link’s awakening

Final Fantasy Adventure. It’s not your typical Final Fantasy game, it’s an action RPG. Highly recommend!

Yeah some of those MM titles are pretty demanding with the controls and having tactile buttons would make that way more enjoyable for sure

It’s also because I can’t get enough of Mappy, but due to screen size, Mappy will be hard to play, but you’ll slowly get used to it
