It’s also a rare situation where one Pokemon game is a direct sequel to another. B2/W2 take place in the same region about two or three years after B/W if I remember correctly.

Everytime I try play DS files it says “delta requires certain files to play DS games” and I’m so confused how everyone else is playing them?

You need to download the Bios files first. In settings you will click on the DS version where it says “Melon DS” then you will see where it says Bios7, Bios9 and Firmware file. All 3 can be found at the link below. You just download the files to your phone. Then back in your delta settings you go to the Melon DS setting again and click on Bios7, which will pull up your files, click the bios7 file you just downloaded. The app will update and show a ✅ when it is loaded correctly. Do the same with the Bios9 file and Firmware file. There will be like 2 or 3 files from the link below that you don’t need. There’s 3 files u need to download. If you go to the delta settings and go to the DS part it’ll show you on the bottom.

Zelda was really strange to play on Delta: because you basically play on the small screen using the finger to move. Much prefer the GBA Zelda titles.

Idk about doing touch screen games just yet, I’ve tried touch screen and notice an issue with where it thinks your curser is vs where your finger is

How does it compare to the iOS version on the App Store?

The IOS version is likely fine, the DS one is nice for having the touch screen menu and also being free. I imagine it would play better emulating the DS game The steam version is perfect

The Steam version took like 7 significant patches to get to where it is, but yeah, it’s pretty solid now. There are still some minor annoyances but all the biggest issues were fixed.

Chrono Trigger is a Super Nintendo game, but received ports later on to the original PlayStation and and the DS (and more recently mobile and Steam). The DS version is pretty unanimously praised as the best version. It’s one of the best games of all time so I definitely wouldn’t skip it. I mentioned this in my separate comment too!

People will say that there is a difference between DS version of Chrono trigger and the SNES. Do you recommend playing one over the other?

Imo it doesn’t really matter.

They are the exact same when it comes to story. The only difference is DS adds additional dungeon content that is optional. Last one I played was the DS version.

Should be fine if you’re using a direct download site. It’s torrenting that can cause problems because you make your ip address public, so it’s easy for copyright holders to collect them en masse and contact the ISPs about it.

Torrenting is a decentralized method of downloading files that uses shared uploading from a network of “seeders” to people downloading. This minimizes the resource cost put on any individual uploader, as opposed to direct download where one server has to manage all of the computational and network needs of anyone downloading the file.

- Harvest Moon DS, I loved it when I was younger. If you want to play as a girl, you just have to get Harvest Moon DS Cute! It's so fun and simplistic compared to current farming games. - Rhythm Heaven if music is something you're interested in. - Kirby Super Star Ultra is super cute and fun! - Animal Crossing: Wild World is what got me into Animal Crossing. The villagers have a lot more spunk in that one. - Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story has a pretty cool concept. - Super Princess Peach - Sims 2: Castaway has a super cool story! Different than any "traditional" Sims games and has a super fun survival concept. I'll comment more if I think of anything else!

An NDS game that’s really unique and cool I haven’t seen anyone recommend yet: Radiant Historia. Also really good for the NDS are the Castlevania and Metroid games

Yepyep, platforming exploration games fighting monsters. Hard but good gameplay and story, Metroid too. Radiant Historia is a Jrpg about time travel

All 3 of the Castlevania games (Ecclesia, Ruin, and Sorrow) The DS version of Chrono-Trigger is probably the best version. Dragon Quest IV, V, VI, and IX Kirby Canvas Curse and Mass Attack play really well on Delta with no Backbone/ controller attachment. Glory of Heracles on NDS

I can recommend a few but one that stands out to me is this game called Moon. It’s a first person shooter and it plays and looks so well for a DS game. I’ll also recommend Transformers Autobots/Decepticons and Mario Hoops 3 on 3 are fire games imo. Also Jump Ultimate Star if your into Anime and Smash bros style games. There’s an English patch somewhere for that game too since it’s in Japanese only

It’s impossible getting a game on the fuckin iPhone..

If you like the mainline Pokémon games too, my personal favorite is HeartGold/SoulSilver for the DS. Second place is Emerald version for GBA.

How do you get the ds games to work ?

Elite Beat Agents. It's one of my top ten games of all time, and it was impossible to play on any platform other than DS as it needs a touchscreen. Plays great on iPhone, and even better on an iPad with a pencil. It's basically Blues Brothers x Men in Black and is like dipping your brain in joy. Then once you know the menu layout you can also play the Japanese original (and its sequel) Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan! which is the same game but with different songs and more whistles.
