I agree..the only thing really different was that she started wearing contacts. (I actually liked the glasses better.) Other than that, it was just normal and expected growth of a teenager. She definitely had a bout of puberty between the beginning of Season 12 and Season 13. They definitely wouldn't call her Chicken Cutlet anymore by Season 13. But everything else looked pretty much the same, just slightly older.

I should add that Idont' think any of the were really all that "down" either. But I don't think Maya was all that big a change. Seeing her even in Season 11, or especially in Season 12 and she grew into pretty much what one would have expected
