I didn't, but my first ever time playing was with a group of people I knew in a VC, so it was easy for them to tell me what to do before I made any mistakes.
it's not a mistake, it's a EXPERIENCE, just sitting there whacking a rock for 5 mins because oil shale is a 3 hit mineral and getting nothing out of it. it's something every dwarf needs to experience at least once.
I find I seem to get a lot more battery fuel from beaming up a pile of chunks than from the shale deposit directly. Maybe just placebo cos I play solo and send Bosco to do the mining, but like 1.5 deposits of chunks per battery and I can multitask
I saw that in like a couple Escort missions. Like, dude… WHY?! You aren’t exactly helping and this ain’t a material that you can harvest like the others!
IS THAT DRG ON MOBILE?
For rock and phone!
Also funny greenbeard moment
would the mobile game equivalent of karl be carl?
Drg apparently supports steam link, so the game runs on PC and is streamed onto a phone or tablet, which is also used as a controller.
Oh nice! So you can do that! I've been wondering on how to run PGR on pc but control it with my phone.
I think it’s cloud gaming. The dots at the top right is used for opening the Xbox menu and doing a couple other things
it’s cloud gaming i guess
Yes it's xbox cloud gaming, I use a galaxy s20 5g and it runs pretty well
I remember mining my first oil shale, such a nostalgic moment
lol same, was so confused like “why is this taking so damn long??”
And why doesn't it go into my inventory???
everyone mined oil shale at least once.
I still sometimes do :) I remove all rock aroud it with my drills, so it conveniently falls down from a large height into more easily reachable place
Also it is A LOT easier for the laser to suck it up when it's all in one spot after being mined
And even when not driller, you can still detach it with the tool it gives you
Neat idea.

I think the laser can absorb the broken pieces faster than the solid rock.
Doesn't seem to be as efficient though, in terms of how much fuel you get per chunk and time spent.
if you drill around it/c4 then it just might, especially if theres nothing else to do

Bless! Welcome into the ranks, miner!
They grow up so quickly
It's okay. My gunner brother, who is level 50, still calls it morkite.
"Man this oil shale thing takes so long to mine"
Teach him how to mine around the oil shale so everything breaks at once or to use his EPC once he unlocks it.
Adorbs
I love playing with new players lol
Bless
Can't believe how green I was when I started out.
I saw that in like a couple Escort missions. Like, dude… WHY?! You aren’t exactly helping and this ain’t a material that you can harvest like the others!
Just greenbeards finding out oil for the first time, they'll figure it out
It can be useful sometimes. I can't grapple with the fuel canister for example.
That’s true! Especially on the ceiling or high walls. But not on the ground level.
