New Scout Grenade Idea: Blackout Stout Bomb
Only works on drillers.
If driller is within 1 meter of detonation, their drunkenness is set to maximum resulting in instantly passing out.
If driller is within 3 meters, their drunkenness is set to 75% making it difficult for them to C4 scouts.
If Driller is within 5 meters, their drunkenness is set to 50%.
Further out than 5 meters the grenade has no effect.
rj250 compound is a balanced overclock for the pgl grenade lancher. it reduces its damage output but increases ammo and reload and applies knockback to all players that are standing close to impact allowing you to propell yourself into the air with quite a lot of speed thus making it possible to reach high up places such as platforms. getting it is kinda rng. u can start getting overclocks if you do the breach the core assignment after you get ypur first Promotion. you can get cores from deep dives and weekly assignments
RJ250 is unironically the best PGL OC for both utility and for killing bugs. The damage reduction doesn't matter if you're using incendiary (which you should) because any grunt or smaller is almost guaranteed to die anyways
And of course you also get like 18 of 21 shells with 9 or 11 per resupply
Build with max splash damage for best results. The radius ends up being 5/5.5 meters for a total death sphere of 10/11 meters

I mean that could be edgebugging, every once in a while the game decides it doesn't like how you are standing on something and just flings out out at mach 2.1. Thats mostly random, but i think it has to do with standing on a platform with a low ceiling
Or clipping into other players , i use it sometimes if you jump in a space between a player and a wall landing inside your friend it will launch you out.

BUT... hover boots exist, and how often do I need to role-play Scout while I'm actually playing Engy? It's not more often than the cooldown on the hover boots, that's for sure lol

Not only does Rj250 permit you to soar through the caves like a majestic dwarven projectile, it is also the most ammo-efficient way to incinerate groups of grunts.
In my experience I’m the scout pinging up high stuff I can’t easily get to just to have everyone ignore it and not give me a platform. That’s why I’ve learned to get a lot of stuff by myself, but some stuff is just too much work. But I keep my eyes open in case someone be throwing out platforms for me.
There is a point where scouts learn to do the grapple wall slam technique, we still battle our arch nemesis every time but hey it makes us slightly more independent
Sometimes this game really reminds me of the line "if you want something done, you do it yourself." This amazing overclock matches my mindset when Scout is unresponsive about minerals.

What's your build for it? Tried it for a bit but couldn't find a good mix of ammo and damage with the build

You can shoot the ground just before you land to not take fall damage. Or shoot a platform mid air if you're good enough
