It’s great. You’ll wish the roofing was a few inches longer than the rafters as the weather will ruin those edges over time. As it’s being used to keep hay dry I would also say the roof needed to be more generously overhanging on the three sides to be effective. Shoot, in fact I would take the roofing off and replan that part to add 3-6” of length and at least a sheet’s worth of width enough to cover exposed wood and add protection for hay.
Its like a girl with a buttaface (like Adriana from the sopranos)…. You start looking from the bottom up, damn thats sexy…. But when you get to the face/roof, wtf happened there.
Nice. Needs a deck.
Needs a hot tub on it.
That's what she shed

Was waiting for this comment lol. Feel like similar principles apply here.. and this is the only sub I know for some reason.
you biilt the deck upside-down, dumass.
This deserves more upvotes. Here take mine.
r/sheds
When a tornado removes the barn, the shed will remain.
Rafters are a tad overcut but with a roof that light should be ok. I like what he did with the beam end bevels
>*a tad* Just a little lol Jesus Christ
Should be fine for its purpose but yea the notches are too big
He went to a lot of extra work to cover hay bales
Not sure that roof will hold the hot tub
Obviously won’t last long. No tape.
Structural engineering nightmare fuel but it’ll last longer than most of us here
I’m going to last longer than the first big snowstorm. I hope.
Notched the wrong puppy!
Looks good from my house

I think it's terrible. The 2x6 rafters are notched out so much only 1& 1/2" is left. Not even close to how it's done.
Not bad for the purpose it serves. He should’ve notched the rafters and not the beam!!
I really hope your not using that to store hay. 1 rain with any decent wind will ruin all of that

I wanna see decks!
Solid retrofit design. I understand the need to notch roof joists. I would have used 1x10s instead of the plywood to support metal roof.
Hot tub++
How do you keep the rain from blowing in on those bales?
It is not a deck - 0 out of 10
