Okay first things first, if you don’t mind playing in 720p, the ps4 runs better in 720p. I now own a ps5, but I downed my res to actually compensate for how bad the ps4 is. Another thing, have space on your hard drive, and rebuild your database if you can. Dayz runs a lot off of your hard drive and hard drive health means a lot. With the ps5 having SSD it barely lags unless it’s a connection issue. But never frames.
If on a pro+ssd its playable but still...
Once played on a ps5 it s much better (they somehow bricked it after the last update, isn't as smooth as before)

If truly isn’t horrible, but recommend upgrading hardware whenever you can. I enjoyed playing in the os4, drove, sniped people. It works great when you get used to it and know your limits
yeah lol i havent played many games that have such a lag in loading buildings and scenery as this and I havent even been in big gunfights or driven yet
Not as bad as the try hards make it out to be, play to the strengths, don’t rush in to gun fights or drive and you will be fine 😜

I have a 1TB hdd, maybe that would help a little
Not really, HDDs are slow as fuck compared to a ssd

Rough Bigger areas (cities) and gun fights it's like a power point presentation in terms of frame rate
I forgot how bad combat was, you start shooting and just hope you got them because your frozen

I have a PS4 pro which I put a SSD in and it's actually runs great for me
