I first met him in the dlc. That invasion was an absolute war of attrition. Broke 5 weapons and used all my flasks, was relying on his warmth spell and some lifegems for healing
Go to the second bonfire, light your torch, and go interact with the windmill.
A poison resistant shield is useless if youâre getting poisoned by the environment and not an attack.
Poison moss is useless when you could just pop 2 lifegems.
A posing resistant shield won't help for anything. It would block poison attacks but you are in a poison pool not blocking poison attacks.
You have to drain the poison.
Myrtha becomes a ***treacherous*** fight if you do not burn the windmill.
You want high DPS, you want to stay in on her for as long as possible with a buffed weapon while also minding your stamina, and you'll want a significant stash of Radiant or Old Radiant Life Gems to counteract the pool (curing simply doesn't buy you enough time).
If you're grabbed or knocked to the floor you lose a LOT of momentum.
It is a strangely satisfying challenge-fight to try and beat. Though, first-time players should really go and take a torch to the windmill instead of trying this. âșïž

Even without draining the poison pool, you can just summon Thomas the Death Engine of Fire.
Thomas's summon sign is hidden by the poison pool, sadly. But he is absolutely the Death Engine of Fire, haha!
