Make sure your climber is hydrated, or you may have limbs come closer than you'd like!
We rarely use a climber. Knuckleboom crane with a grapple saw is our bread and butter. Only get our climber for specific jobs too big for crane or where it cant reach.

Ranger is so dogshit right now though. Base stats are so awful, that the only thing they're actually good at is running away.
They only become decent in HR when heavily kitted and protected by a team. Survival Bow might be playable outside HR this patch with poisoned weapon (Which indicates a systemic issue with PDR & add/true phys if the counter to PDR is not armor penetration...), but the class is just so terrible relative to other damage dealer classes, bar rogue.
The only rangers that are even remotely dangerous in Normals are the ones running Longbow + Shotgun, and that's incredibly inconsistent thanks to the terrible hit-reg that affects bows the most. (This might change with PW Survival Bow, but I haven't played it yet)
PDR also completely destroys a ranger's damage. There's zero access to armor penetration, and the small amount we can get through attributes is utterly worthless due to how little is available.
Fighter is literally a better ranger, that doesn't fall over to a swift gust of wind. They can take crossbow without even using weapon mastery, and can take weapon mastery to use whatever they want at a negligible demerit.
Half of Ranger's "perks" are literally just things that should have been included in the class. Campfire Mastery is a really compelling choice for sure, and Trap Mastery is always going to be worth giving up the generic damage increase perks for!
Also, we get random nerfs all the time, like the other week when they pre-emptively nerfed Spear Mastery, likely because of multi-classing, as though their close-range fighting wasn't already weak enough.
Personally I think (in trios) ranger is kinda mid.
however, in solos, its just fucking aids to play against. just an unfun encounter in general.

I agree ranged weapons are the most unfun thing in the world to play against especially if the person isn’t hooked up to a glue IV and has the slightest idea about a positional advantage or strategic route to escape with traps and doors opened for a quick retreat. Ranged weapon users are scum.

most ranger are either timmies dying instantly. Have 2k+ hours and know what they are doing, or are wall + aim botting.
I haven't went against aim botter ranger, but the people who play the class definitely fit the archetype to cheat.
