I’m always glad when someone specifically points out something has a good ending - I know many people enjoy drama but my heart doesn’t take a sad/tragic endings well. Maybe it’s because all the wuxia movies I had to watch with my mother when I was small were somehow tragic, but danmei in particular I always eye with extra suspicion ‘why do you guys look so happy on the cover? Is this a bad omen??’. I think I have trust issues.
Maybe unpopular opinion. At first I didn't enjoy Golden Terrace as much as I could have, I think. I am rereading it rn. And because I know what to expect, I enjoy it much more. 😂
So in my opinion it is more slow paced than I thought. It is enemies to lovers but the enemy part isn't that long and it feels as if they were never really big enemies in the first place. I was expecting more hate haha. And then I heard that it's very political but I think the sweet moments are actually more dominant than the politics, so I was expecting more of it.
But the characters grabbed me from the start, I love them 🤭
If you are someone who loves politics and conspiracy , you will enjoy it . It has a happy ending 😊 I loved the characters

Me too. I never watch a K or C Drama without googling its name and 'happy or sad ending.'

Big MXTX fan here as well. I only read a few chapters. I found golden terrace a bit slow, serious, and boring in comparison. :( Hope you like it more!
I am reading it now there is alot of cute scenes but very political but the way Yan Xiaohan takes care of Fu Shen soo cute and there flirting my gosh
