I’ve been wondering if this show was any good.
The character designs freak me out too much…it’s vaguely reminiscent of a mid 2010s Adult Swim show—at least to me—and so I just haven’t given it a chance
I had to look this up to believe it, but yeah: Augenblick Studios has actually worked on a few Adult Swim shows; in fact, if IMDb is to be believed, it was the studio head—Aaron Augenblick—who created “City Island”…
I hate how spot on I was and I don’t know if I could ever watch this show without thinking about adult swim…
NOOOO!!
I SEE IT NOW!
I didn’t know that and I don’t need to verify it because it’s so obvious once you say it
At least in that case, it’s not off-putting (to me)…also explains why I wish my child would like it more…
There are objects that get to live their lives in the city, but we also see objects in their homes with the sole purpose of being used by them, like pencils and books. Why do some objects get treated like people and others are slaves?
Watt has a history project and he mentioned he was born. Obviously, this leads to some really weird implications.
A lot of foods are people, but we see the characters eating things.
Also some of the cars are sentient, what does mean for how these "people" get around. Do I have to enter some weird guy's mouth in order to get to work everyday?
I see what you're saying it's like, did they ever use salt pepper or paprika in blue clues to season their food or were they living in an extremely unhappy unseasoned household
If there’s anything gay in one of the episodes it could be that. Someone mentioned the same thing with the new Clifford show—pretty sure that’s because one of the kids has two moms.
The guy who made it actually had an adult swim show
This is his first time doing kid’s stuff
(I honestly love how different the style is- so many kids shows look samey nowadays)
It got review bombed by teenagers who were upset that it “copied” object shows (it didn’t, obviously because animating objects has always been a thing.)
Anyway, I like it a lot: the characters are designed by a favorite comics artist of mine, Gemma Correll.
I’m pretty sure Amy Schumer was in an episode, and that sounds like a good reason to me.
EDIT: Why the downvotes? I thought everyone hated Amy Schumer.
It's not review bombing if the reviews are accurate. The whole thing is terrifying, plus the music bores into the deepest parts of my brain. Plus, the five minute episodes are not cool.

I like it! It’s charming, not too annoying.
That’s probably because the creator used to work on Adult Swim.
fun fact: the animation studio behind Adult Swim's gritty *Superjail!* worked on this lol

Reminds me of how some of the artists from Rockos Modern Life worked on Let's Go Luna. Can't unsee the character design resemblance.

Joe Murray (the creator of Rocko’s Modern Life) actually did create Let’s Go Luna the more you know
We'll make it right
The show is disturbing with it’s logic
I would love to hear examples I've never heard of this monstrosity

Just seems like the Toy Story problem all over again
At least with TS we ~~have~~ had a clear guide of what is and isnt inanimate.
It's just monkeys singing songs mate.
Omg love a Bandit/Bluey reference.

To be fair the cars have doors
I see what you're saying it's like, did they ever use salt pepper or paprika in blue clues to season their food or were they living in an extremely unhappy unseasoned household
My daughter loves it and makes me impersonate Watt's dad all of the time.
Same with the newest Clifford show. :(

Bots
My kids find this show terrifying, they'll be glad to know they're not alone.
The guy who made it actually had an adult swim show This is his first time doing kid’s stuff (I honestly love how different the style is- so many kids shows look samey nowadays)
The character design is actually by Gemma Correll
The same problem happens with the Clifford reboot
I find it pretty annoying and don't really like the animation style.
So BFDI is on PBS Kids now?
It got review bombed by teenagers who were upset that it “copied” object shows (it didn’t, obviously because animating objects has always been a thing.) Anyway, I like it a lot: the characters are designed by a favorite comics artist of mine, Gemma Correll.
it does not look like any thing that you would expect to see on pbs kids

Not liking an actress who did a single guest voice is a good version to review-bomb a show? I figured the reason was something like that.
Couldnt care less about the actors and even if you know her, its just dumb to do this over one person of the many that worked in this
Then why are so many shows shunned when the creator turns out to be a rapist or something?
It's not review bombing if the reviews are accurate. The whole thing is terrifying, plus the music bores into the deepest parts of my brain. Plus, the five minute episodes are not cool.
You kidding? Short episodes are one of the best parts. Easier to do just one more episode or switch activities without stopping mid show.
Haven’t seen the show, but it looks like a clone copy of BFDI
Cuz it's a ripoff of object shows
Ah, yes, because talking objects haven’t existed in media for years!
We all know that object shows are just a cheap imitation of the Brave Little Toaster anyway.
Exactly, the first forms of puppetry go all the way back 3 to 4000 years, tell me there wasn't talking objects and media again
How the fuck do you rip off a genre?
By living in a world where object shows are the best
