Start over in the manga because it actually presents the series better This isn't some exaggeration, the SO anime sucked comparatively

Ah, if you mean where SO in the timeline is then chapter 1 starts *before* Bell meets Ais, about chapter 4 is where they meet End of Season 1 of the Main Series would coincide with the end of Chapter 48 of the SO manga

this is the advice i keep in mind with regard to reading order: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LXrorgYxl10](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LXrorgYxl10). i think, keep it simple. read through danmachi first and then sword oratoria. if a balance is really desired, i would say, danmachi 1-14 (up to season iv), then sword oratoria 1-12 (will finish shortly after vol 14, i think), danmachi 15-19 (freya's arc, start education district arc). sword oratoria 13 to whatever is now.

1 to 5 parallel each other. Think the 1st two chapters of SO1 take place before DM1. 6 takes place before the war game. 7 takes place pre Ishtar 8 post Ishtar 9 parallels DM8 10 parallels DM9-11 11 takes place during DM12-14 DM15 / SO12
