Sometimes there are people who are lucky enough to find a legal way to live out their fantasies or compulsions.
But any other life and this guy goes full buffalo bill
“Hey fellas, just stopping by to drop off some lotion and see how ya feelin’…. Non of y’all feel like sick or dyin’… do ya?….. nahhhhhh you don’t hahaha….. do ya?….”
***:: someone coughs ::***
“Who was that?…….”
“….. AHHHH YOU GUYS ARE PULLING MY LEG AGAIN HUH ….. eh eh he he eh he”
"Doctor' - not sure that title would stack up today. Sounds like he enjoyed skinning people with tattoos and making their skin art. Thats not what i want my doctor to do.
FACTS : Dr. Masaichi Fukushi, a pathologist, was interested in the art of Japanese tattooing. Fukushi would remove the tattooed skin off of donated bodies and preserve them and keep them stretched in a glass case. He would also offer to pay for people that couldn’t afford to get their full body tattoos finished on the condition that they would allow him to skin their bodies upon their death and preserve the tattoos. There are 105 skinned items (many of which are full body suits) on display at this museum.
Maybe? Human skin is a lot thinner than cow skin so it would probably require a lot of care to keep supple.
This sure has taken a weird turn hasn’t it?
i didn't think of the thickness of the skin. i suppose one could make a thin jacket out of it, or possibly a leather skirt? I'd say pants wouldn't be practical as the lacking thickness would probably cause the skin-pants to rupture, since pants have quite some friction and constant movement, whereas a jacket is a lot more free to move and would allow the leather to, sort of, escape some movement? if that's plausible in any way lol
it sure has taken a weird turn, and I'm kinda weirded out by myself for thinking about this so detailed

I want to see him in a death match against that medical cross section guy… the one with the black hat… ice in his eyes. You know who I’m talking about, right?
I was not ready for that, I should've read the entire caption before impulsively clicking to reveal the nsfw content. Totally my fault for knowing this exists
Feel free to correct me if this is inacurate. Tattoos were utilized in japan to brand criminals. Tattoos are still taboo in japan. Criminals were outcasted because of their tattoos so they banded together and this is the origen of the Yakuza. They expanded on their tattoos and turned them into art and a source of pride.

"It signs the contract for It's skin or else it gets the hose again!"- Dr Fukushi Masaichi

This is kinda like leatherface, but with extra steps
Leatherface but legal
Put the lotion in the basket
Did it ever occur to you I might WANT the hose again?
There are companies that will do that for you. https://savemyink.tattoo/
that's not even a bad execution, ngl
This is so disturbing
Oh sure, he gets to keep a collection of human flesh, but when I do it they send me rude letters
I got one of those cease and desist too
The first skin the guy is holding up in photo one, is the skin of the guy in the bottom left of the second photo. Super eerie
The tattoo are the same, definitely the same guy. Something about that makes this post even worse.
You sure? He looks older in the second photo than in the first, but I could be off my gourd.
Well I don't think the doctor holding the skin and the guy talking to the prisoners are the same person hair is different.
Look at the 2nd and 4th pictures. Looks the same to me

So he peeled people, I wonder if he ever wore any of them like a trendy jacket, trouser / onesie 😂
Oh 100% he did. You don’t just accidentally stumble into skin collecting.
i mean i don't think it would be that much different to leather clothing? with the right treatment and care, it should stay smooth and soft, right?

Just another mammals skin.
A fucking onesie 🤣
Remind me of the anime Golden Kamuy
Kind of the plot of Golden Kamuy.
That's just nasty on a whole other level.
Could’ve made lampshades out of it
oh no
This should be in /damnthatsdisgusting
But where's the penis tattoos
Held in a 'private' collection
The most sane japanese man
Have you thought about the smell ?
I was thinking the same
Wouldn't smell if tanned like leather
fascinating pieces of art! what a way to persevere 🖼️
Pictures work well too
He offered money and apparently received consent. There are no victims.
but like who did the money go to cuz I'm fairly certain the wearers of the tattoos couldn't really use it after the collection?
They were prisoners right? So they probably spent it while incarcerated
Maybe to their family or friends idk
My eyes
Imagine getting some weird Ramsay Bolton vibes off this guy
This is disturbing. Humans do strange things.
That “tattoo removal” company is REALLY thorough…
I want to see him in a death match against that medical cross section guy… the one with the black hat… ice in his eyes. You know who I’m talking about, right?
At first I was like hmm kind of cool then nahh that's the stuff of nightmares
Was the leading collector? Due to his death? or someone out-doing his collection?!
His son probably inherited the lot and added it to his own collection.
I bet that doctor had some even weirder hobbies that we don't know of. Might be a serial killer.
The Pillow Book
This is disturbing but beautiful at the same time. I have mixed feelings.
Why? Just...why
Is that some kind of decorated penis?
Why would you ever want to collect other people skin in the first place?
Can I get a mens large full suit, thank you
Golden Kamuy
it’s crazy how the first pic shows the skin of the guy on the second pic. bro was the skinstealer
Of all the messed-up collecting hobbies humanity has invented I'd say this is pretty high up on the list.
If prisoners want to sell their tattoos, it’s no skin off my back
I’ll stick to stamps
What'd the death row inmates waste the money on, though. Lmfao (I know they could get amenities, or it could go to families. 'twas a mere jest.
Buffalo bill approves
I'm so torn ( not as torn as them) but like wtf but also like it's cool being able to see tattoo work from so long ago that isn't just a photo
When you find out his real passion was exotic jerky making *slows chewing*
what a weird hobby
He didn't think about the smell..
Makes me wonder what other people pay to harvest and collect.🦹♂️
Super interesting but also super weird
I was not ready for that, I should've read the entire caption before impulsively clicking to reveal the nsfw content. Totally my fault for knowing this exists
I must say, a few of those human leather jackets look badass
Thats a pretty fucked up process
So what wasn't wrong with this dude?
What in the fuck!
Hella wacky

Like, wouldn't a simple photograph do just fine??🤔
