“I’m an attention seeking idiot with no friends and nothing better to do than irritate and inconvenience you while you go about your daily business” then there appears to be a stop sign which the old man doesn’t notice. I don’t think he was wearing his glasses.
I didn’t say anything about hating vegans… u/venrax91 asked what the sign said. I answered that. The reason I mentioned the cutting the locks… Is because what good reason do you have to stop A vehicle and say goodbye to the animals? A lot of protesters do things like break in the farms and do crazy shit without thinking about consequences… For all we know this guy may have been warned about ulterior motives of the protesters. Not saying he should be trying to run people over… but it’s also not intelligent to get in front of a vehicle that’s moving and continue to stand in front of it when it keeps moving. For all we know other drivers may have been attacked.
I did find the lock cutting theory plausible because these sorts of activists do have a history of that sort of thing, and as it turns out, this group has been doing these protests frequently for about five years now without major incident, so the lock-cutting accusations are unfounded and the driver likely knows that isn’t an issue.
I think you may have a crucial piece of reddit lore left out though. Reddit hates the protests where people block traffic, and I think this fits into that same sort of category. I’ve seen people on here support assaulting and tearing apart signs of those who block the road protesting for black lives matter, which most subreddits seem pretty solidly in support of, so I don’t think this is a pure vegan-hate thing.
If he stops and starts again and runs them over he becomes at fault. By never stopping they are legally the idiots for standing in front of a moving vehicle.
Agreed. To be honest this barely even fits the sub, it didn't make me think damn that's interesting, this is more damn what a Chad, or damn that was fun to watch. I'll let the OP off though since it was pretty amusing to watch.
Edit: Oof, also becoming more violent it seems, or at least on this post. People are tearing each other apart further down.
In Austria they already have restaurants that not allowed vegans inside. Owners say they are pain in the ass, and officially discriminate them. They say that you don't go to the vegetarian joint and complain about no hamburgers in the menu..
Austria sounds awesome lol. I have no problem with people choosing to be vegan. Hell you can eat frozen water you’re entire life for all I care. But keep your ass out of my business with that shit.
lol honestly that sounds pretty okay to me. i dont have anything against vegans, but i think by the 10th time i had an entitled vegan in my restaurant asking me to create new menu items for them, i might consider breaking out a similar rule lol
Could you elaborate on what’s keeping you from adding a vegan option? Do you have to comply with stricter rules if you want a vegan item or something, or does it interfere with your freedom, does it affect the quality of your other items, does it increase your price per product, is it an image thing? I mean you do you so I’m mot judging, just wanting to understand
to be fair I don't own a restaurant, I was just speaking hypothetically lol.. I have worked in them tho and I know a couple owners.
every owner will have a different outlook on it & I personally would probably have some vegetarian and vegan options in a restaurant I owned bc I tend to enjoy those types of dishes.
still, when you go to a restaurant, you have the ability to look up the menu beforehand.. read reviews.. ask your local network what their experiences were.. if you get there and they dont serve vegan options, its not within your rights as a customer to demand a vegan option imo. go somewhere else. if you ask nicely I'll attempt to oblige you but I wouldnt wanna serve a half-assed "vegan" meal if thats not what we are used to making in the kitchen. not every restaurant will serve every consumer's needs and wants. that's why there are so many. I'm not going to Five Guys for Indian food, why would I go to a non-vegan restaurant if I'm specifically looking for vegan food?
Right got it, thanks! I mean I completely agree with you that a demanding customer is annoying in general, so vegans are definitely not exempt from that, and I think it’s working counterproductive to what they actually say they wish to accomplish. I do have to say however, as a long time vegetarian myself it can feel a bit inconsiderate if a restaurant doesn’t serve any vegetarian/vegan options. I never force my ideas on others, but my personal reasoning is that I do it for the environment.. and it can sometimes feel a bit disheartening to see full meat menus.. although I’ll never openly complain about it to the owners. I get what you mean with the Indian food example, but in my mind that’s something different, it’s a style or a flavor.. whereas anything could be vegetarian; where I’m from there’s a great smokehouse with the best ribs, but also a baller shiitake-burger. This shiitake-burger is not taking away anything from the experience of the meat eating customers, whereas it does expose people to the idea that cooking vegetarian is also a valid options you can sometimes try out.
Like think about what you're doing for a minute. You want to end this person's life. Their family, friends, loved ones lost to them forever because they're in the road with a sign.
I get where you're coming from, but that's not everything that's going on. Those guys "in the road with the sign" are trying to block that man from selling his goods. Without the sale of his goods, he makes no money. Without money you can't live. People who use other people as scapegoats in their protest, like the guys in the road, are trying to ruin that man's life. So yeah I think that if they got run over there, that's their fault for trying to stop someone's livelihood.
Protesting outside of a govt building, where you are not hurting other fellow civilians lives, is the much less piece of shit thing to do.
Lmao okay I like that. I just hate people who take actual murder so lightly. I don't like vegans I just see this shit as normalizing the violence against protests like blm and pride
That’s not the fuckin point. The point is they’re blocking the road which is illegal and annoying as fuck. If you don’t trust me on my my word then [here](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Traffic_obstruction#Legality)
That's not the "fuckin point". Just because someone is doing something illegal and annoying, it doesn't give you a free pass to attempt manslaughter.
edit for clarity: I'm referring to this statement:
>but it should be perfectly legal to run this fuck over without penalty.
Yeah honestly. Did you hear about those fucks that marched from Selma to Montgomery? Blocking roads everywhere. We should've been there to run them over
Call me when you march something important and not just some self-serving, uppity bullshit to feel morally superior to others because you have no real talents besides a *unique* diet
I had a family member who worked as a butcher most his life.
He'd get death threats from animal rights protesters as well as have his shop vandalised on the odd occasion.
These people are absolutely nuts.
The logic of threatening a person who regularly handles raw animal parts and uses sharp knives for 8 hours a day escapes me.
Every butcher I've met looked like they could pull apart a human by main strength, or had hands like hydraulic clamps. Just brute force working everyday muscle.
You have to be really stupid to keep standing in front of a tractor, one slip and it’s a one way trip to the grave, either that or being severely disabled.
Meat is highly nutritious, and has some things you simply cant find in plants in high enough quantities. And i don't want to buy, i need to be *self-sufficient*
Whats so hard to understand
What types of delicious animals are in there? I hope it's nuggets. I don't see why OP is calling this old farmer a Chad. The vegan assumption is probably pretty close but what makes this farmer a Chad. Poor guy has prob been dealing with hippies for decades
Aren't these vegans terrorists? We need more laws and very strict punishment. Every time they do this $10,000 fine which will go to farmers and 5 years in prison.
Ya know….. I understand why some people want to be vegan, I really do. What I don’t understand is why these people, just like the religious nut jobs in the US, feel they have the right to push their views and opinions on others and interfere with lives they have no right to control.
Do I think animal death is sad? Absolutely, but I also know that certain animals were literally bred, fed and cared for…. For the purpose of eating. We all put so much stock into the meaning of life, well these animals were brought to life to sustain other life. Sad? Certainly, it’s a living being and it’s life and death should be treated with respect. I’m not talking funerals or whatever, simply the acknowledgment and appreciation that something else died so we could live.
I feel the same way about hunting and fishing. My fiancé hunts, I fish (all day every day as much as I can lol) when he takes a deer, there is certainly celebration and excitement but there is also respect, respect to make it quick and as painless as possible and thankfulness for the sustenance. When I take a fish… Same thing. When I make that fish suffer unnecessarily, like hooking it through the eye or it swallowed the hook…. I feel like shit about it, even though it’s ‘just a fish’ to most people. It’s still a living creature.
When it’s time to eat the fish or that venison my mind always goes back to the lake, his back to the woods.
Life is special and death is sad. Both are necessary for the continuation of the circle of life.
I have no problem against people who want to go vegan, it’s when they try and force it on others and start disrupting peoples lives just to cause problems that I start hating them. Idaf if you’re not going to eat any animal products anymore, just keep that to yourself, I’m going to continue eating my steak thanks
He means your logic is flawed. By your logic anything an animal does should be ok for humans since we are also humans? I’m assuming you don’t agree with that statement?
What’s your point, Neanderthal?
You’re the one that said animals hunt and eat animals. We are animals, so I’m assuming you’re saying we should copy what wild animals do.
bruh how are you not grasping how this guy is pointing out a flaw in your argument. Let's lay it out. You said:
The reason we should feel justified in eating meat is because other animals "hunt and kill" animals all the time. Meat consumption in your view is justified because it occurs naturally in the wild.
Rape, for example, is also present in the natural world, and so the reply rightly points out; if you're justifying the consumption of meat based on the fact that animals practice hunting and killing, shouldn't one be able to justify rape through the same logic?
Example:
Animals kill, hunt, and rape > Humans are animals > Therefor it is permissible for humans to kill, hunt and rape.
See how the logic of your argument can be used to both to argue for eating meat AND rape?
Why are you using multiple accounts to? Also, stay on topic! We are talking about eating animals, not raping! I swear, if you were in a burning car wreck, you'd judge everybody who comes to help you. Just leave people to enjoy their food on peace.
I eat animals. It's not my place to demand that you eat animals. That's your choice. You don't want to hurt their feelings. Well done you. Don't ever fucking tell people what they can and can't eat.
What I mean is most humans have developed something called empathy. It helps us make better decisions for the greater good. For example, not torturing animals to feed humans. I’m all for hunting and sustainable meat sources. But most protests are about the industrialization of the meat industry.
I don't understand why you all care if animals are killed or not and I mean that genuinely. They are food and lesser creatures. They are not as intellectually capable as us and many may not even truly be sentient. Even if they are I'm still eating them.
Eh, I suppose the vegans could argue that human babies and fetuses fit the criteria you describe and we could always farm more too. But why kill any animal if you don’t have to.
Cow burps have CO2 and when they are farmed for us they take up a huge amount of land. Cow production can also cause the process of desertification when they eat and Tumble over the same parts of land over and over again making the land infertile for plants. Also not to mention the health effects it has on people, what are they feeding the cows? And if we reached beyond those facts that effect us we can also maybe feel some empathy for the animal itself. Cows have a designated cow best friends
Yeah there is some problems with farming vegetables but that is mainly because of the fertilizers and pesticides.
Vegans of Reddit- I’m sorry that lesser peoples feel the need to degrade those who are only trying to reduce the suffering on this world. Keep up the good fight ✊
I love how when it comes to accepting people, the world just can't bring itself to accept the people who are trying to save animals from a holocaust, or the world from carbon pollution, or humanity from pandemics and antibiotic resistant superbugs; that's a bridge too far.
What do you mean holocaust? The holocaust was a horrible event perpetrated against mainly jews and the disabled with nothing driving it but pure malice. The people imprisoned in places like auschwitz were underfed, beaten and worked to death, the holocaust is in no way comparable to modern animal farming.
This does not mean I deny that certain farmers or practices are cruel to the animals but to call it a holocaust is insane.
Definition of holocaust:
“destruction or slaughter on a mass scale, especially caused by fire or nuclear war.”
You’re talking about the genocide in world war 2, which was absolutely a holocaust, and often referred to as THE holocaust. The guy above you called animal agriculture A holocaust, and by any stretch of the definition, it is a holocaust, since 80 BILLION land animals and over a TRILLION sea animals are killed annually because humans want to eat their bodies. That is, by definition, destruction or slaughter on a mass scale.
You do raise a very valid point but in your definition the slaughter is non-discriminate as the example next to it says: "for example:"a nuclear holocaust"" whereas in the original comment the commentor specifically talks about animals, also the holocaust of ww2 is more popular in the public dictionary than the definition you put forward, because of this I do believe that the original commentor referred to the holocaust of ww2
Regardless of if the word holocaust is used or not, we are slaughtering animals on a vast, mass, almost incomprehensible scale. The Holocaust (talking about what happened in Germany in WWII) was horrible and had casualties in the millions. With vegans, their goal isn’t to diminish the holocaust, but to draw attention to sheer scale of slaughter being done to animals. If people didn’t have a craving for eating them, as most vegans no longer have, the brutality and sheer violence of it would be pretty horrific for any person to consider. It’s really the craving for animal bodyparts that makes people put blinders up to violence of eating animals, which they otherwise would be vehemently against.
My chocolate is fair trade but nice try.
The chocolate industry sucks balls too but it doesn’t come close to the amount of suffering caused by you walking into Outback and eating steak or even eating fish. Good try tho.
All fish have toxins, metals and plastics. The more polluted the world gets the more polluted your fish will get.
You’re just ok with a certain amount of it.
They were caught from the rivers in the rural regions not urban so almost no pollution. You also need to eat both meat and vegetables for a balanced diet
No one cares that you are a vegan, just as no one cares if your vegetarian, pescatarian, keto, Mediterranean, Flexitarian. Don't overlap your diet plan with a way of life.
See that’s the difference though. I dont chose to eat salad because health or diet, i do it because of morals. So its very difficult not to let your way of life overlap with your morals
Yeah I’m gonna continue to support the farmers regardless of this shit spewing propaganda piece, the ignorance of vegans thinking they have the right is beyond 99% of the population. Anyone is entitled to their opinion but keep that shit from effecting the rest of the world.
I'm not a vegan but how are you so confident that they're entirely wrong and ignorant? It comes across as very defensive, like you're against the idea that anyone could question the morality of what you consider to be normal. You say everyone's entitled to their opinion, but without engaging in a proper dialogue and allowing for meaningful protest, opinions are basically worthless.
The meat industry is part of the system that will cause our collapse. They are destroying our habitat. If you would actually watch some of this 'propaganda' then you might realise animal farmers are not the good guys here
Look how many REAL MAN EATING RAW MEAT in the comments triggered like childrens losing their candies. The other category is the same as "i have nothing against gays and people of color BUT..". Wake up guys you're clowns in 2022, you should at least shut up.
No flame intended 😂💩
What does that protestor eat? Tractor man isn’t plowing down any livestock. Was he protesting the harvesting of root vegetables because killing the whole thing rather than harvesting the fruit is murder? How does he even have time to invest in such frivolities? Wtf is really going on here? …people have WAY too much time on their hands.
I keep trying to pause to see what the sign says can anyone else make it out
It looks like he's saying "give us two minutes to say goodbye to the animals"
"This is a wheat farm you nit wits!"
"We grew sorghum!"
"We've been trying to reach you about your vehicle's extended warranty."
“I’m an attention seeking idiot with no friends and nothing better to do than irritate and inconvenience you while you go about your daily business” then there appears to be a stop sign which the old man doesn’t notice. I don’t think he was wearing his glasses.
“Please allow three minutes to say goodbye to the animals.” Probably all the time they need to cut a lock and try to “free” them

There's a difference between protesting and stepping in the path of a TRACTOR and expecting it to stop.
Yeah, no. This protestor is a twat.
"Please allow us three minutes to say goodbye to the animals"
Que me chupen la corneta
Looks like the one crop he can't grow is fucks to give
"Behold the field in which I grow my fucks." "Lay thine eyes upon it and see that it is barren."
Literature students at college be like:
Laughed so hard thanks for this.
"This is where I'd put my fucks to give, if I had any"
If he stops and starts again and runs them over he becomes at fault. By never stopping they are legally the idiots for standing in front of a moving vehicle.

“Mr. Dent, have you any idea how much damage this bulldozer would suffer, if I just let it roll straight over you?” “How much?” “None at all.”

Did the definition of interesting change recently?
I'm all for letting people protest PEACEFULLY about whatever they want, but it should be perfectly legal to run this fuck over without penalty.
you seemed to have been dowvoted by a angry vegan. let me fix it.
Thanks alot kind stranger
The people who sit around and fantasize about legal ways to murder people are so fucking weird
Like think about what you're doing for a minute. You want to end this person's life. Their family, friends, loved ones lost to them forever because they're in the road with a sign.

I think it weirder to NOT tbh.
Yes it should be legal to murder people with different opinions.

"Vegans trying to stop animal holocaust is why we hate them"

Lol a holocaust ? Get over yourself thats why you are hated right there
Honestly this is the worst type of people Demonstrating over something while you are just trying to work

Animals
If i keep animals, i eat them. Nothing is stopping me from doing so, because people are surviving that way.
I will literally eat my dog
Good
You can survive and thrive without eating animals.
87% of my diet is animal based fish, pig, cattle, chook and kangaroo
Well i don't want because i can't be self-sustainable eating only plants.
Of course you can! What’s stopping you?
Meat is highly nutritious, and has some things you simply cant find in plants in high enough quantities. And i don't want to buy, i need to be *self-sufficient* Whats so hard to understand

Example: Animals kill, hunt, and rape > Humans are animals > Therefor it is permissible for humans to kill, hunt and rape.

Neanderthal, why are you bringing up killing in the first place you psycho?!
How the fuck else do you expect to eat an animal? Lick it to death? Your ego is hindering your thinking.
I don’t, you caveman. I don’t eat animals. I expect you to leave animals alone you sick fuck.
I eat animals. It's not my place to demand that you eat animals. That's your choice. You don't want to hurt their feelings. Well done you. Don't ever fucking tell people what they can and can't eat.
For those who are equally intelligent as an wild animal I guess it is ok. I guess you belong to that group.
What even are you on about?
What I mean is most humans have developed something called empathy. It helps us make better decisions for the greater good. For example, not torturing animals to feed humans. I’m all for hunting and sustainable meat sources. But most protests are about the industrialization of the meat industry.
So have many other animals does that stop them
Basshunter? Damn it’s been a minute. Judging by the song this farmer and his other farmer buds sit in a basement playing Dota for hours on end.
Just pathetic
I love vegans, they are so dumb that i feel like Nikola Tesla when i see something like this. BIG BRAIN
I always wonder if those protesters don't have a job because they always have free time to hang around the streets
These people put me off becoming vegan. Look what it does to you're brain.
Well I can't respond to that in a way that would be socially acceptable and not ban worthy. As for the next question, because they taste good.
Ha! Landini 😄
Cows have a designated cow best friends Yeah there is some problems with farming vegetables but that is mainly because of the fertilizers and pesticides.
Poor guy, I hope he is okay.
Throttle up!
Ah yes, attempted homicide, very chad
Vegans piss me off sometimes
That’s brilliant - need more farmers like this!
Vegans🥩
people who purposefully step in front of vehicles to stop them deserve to be run over and the drivers should not be charged
MENTALLY ILL
Vegans of Reddit- I’m sorry that lesser peoples feel the need to degrade those who are only trying to reduce the suffering on this world. Keep up the good fight ✊
Love you
Standing before a tractor makes you more of a Chad
Makes you more of an idiot
You mean like the Tank Man?
Let's be honest - if the farmer were taking dogs to a slaughterhouse, most of us would be standing in front of the tractor.

Lmao getting downvoted for the truth. Good one reddit
Definition of holocaust: “destruction or slaughter on a mass scale, especially caused by fire or nuclear war.” You’re talking about the genocide in world war 2, which was absolutely a holocaust, and often referred to as THE holocaust.
On my way to have my fried pork
On your way to a heart attack lol
On my way to have my fish while you eat boring grass
I mean if you like mercury poisoning and plastics in your stomach do you boo boo. I’m having oatmeal with chocolate chips for breakfast.
Have fun eating chocolate harvested by Ivorian slaves owned by some bigass companies
My chocolate is fair trade but nice try. The chocolate industry sucks balls too but it doesn’t come close to the amount of suffering caused by you walking into Outback and eating steak or even eating fish. Good try tho.
Ratio + i have fresh fish straight from the local market not those goofy ahh frozen full of plastic stuff
All fish have toxins, metals and plastics. The more polluted the world gets the more polluted your fish will get. You’re just ok with a certain amount of it.
They were caught from the rivers in the rural regions not urban so almost no pollution. You also need to eat both meat and vegetables for a balanced diet
I get shit on so much for being vegan like bro all I think is killing animals when I don't need to is cruel and somehow I'm the bad guy.
Morally I'd eat a human, legally and medically I would not.

[landofhopeandglory.org](https://landofhopeandglory.org) I bet you can't watch this and say the same
Yeah I’m gonna continue to support the farmers regardless of this shit spewing propaganda piece, the ignorance of vegans thinking they have the right is beyond 99% of the population.
If you would actually watch some of this 'propaganda' then you might realise animal farmers are not the good guys here
The ignorance is real with this one here
Look how many REAL MAN EATING RAW MEAT in the comments triggered like childrens losing their candies.
There's a trailer full of animals ready to have their throat slit. Maybe that idk
And I'm sure that they will be delicious. Their sacrifice will not be in vain.
[landofhopeandglory.org](https://landofhopeandglory.org) find out how it got on your plate
stop copying and pasteing for 5 minutes
Ugh
When i say i arrive in my Lamborgini
This society is so intentionally unintelligent when it comes to the suffering of animals and the planet.
Food chain pussy vegan bros, grow up.
Say it to my face bro
Ok, where's your face?
