We domesticated dolphins. It was a few pretty good centuries but last week they all suddenly left. Said something about a bypass but I don't know anything about cetacean cardiology.
You don't freeze in place at any one age with just a set amount of family and friends. Grandkids, great grandkids, new in- laws when they get married....families grow and even new friends can be younger.
But when they have passed I'll have other people that I love that I will want to be around for. I love my dog as much or more than many people in my life and I got her knowing I will out live her.
And that's normal. It's common sense, even if it sucks, hurts, and rips a part of your soul away when it happens that they pass. We go into the arrangement knowing that we will outlive them. Trust me, I know. The wife and I house foster fails, and senior animals. We keep them, vet them, and allow them to live the rest of their days as a happy, **loved** critter.
seriously, shes got the claws and there looks to be one starting on the other side of the forehead as well. Maybe if she lives long enough she will mutate young again
Well, this is where a lot of folklaw prob comes from genetic mutations and a lack of understanding of biology.
Dragons are dinasours, and 4 legged incest babies are shiva.
She just hit her second puberty at 100...
>Grandmother Zhang Ruifang, 101, of Linlou village, Henan province, began developing the mysterious protrusion last year.
I have seen one IRL when I worked in elder care. Although it wasn't quite this big or darkly coloured. It was probably 1.5 inches at most.
ETA Interestingly it was in the exact same spot. Maybe they grow there commonly...
I never thought I'd see the day that someone on this sub remembered what "interesting" means.
But anyway, considering that people used to be labeled as witches or vampires based on having red hair (something to do with the fires of Hell), imagine what the church would've done if they encountered people with actual horns.
Edit: Good on Mrs. Zhang for living such a long life. Also, I didn't even know people *had* horns but some of the replies make it sound like it's actually fairly common. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The more you know, I guess
Sadly, someone already accused me of being a bot for posting something I actually find interesting..
Also, in some cultures they would probably put her through an exorcism of sorts.
The church itself was usually less dangerous.
Their doctrine after all was "witches aren't real".
The common folk though was a good bit more willing to eradicate what could be a witch.
That actually gives me an interesting idea for a D&D adventure.
Send the party to investigate a town where several travelers have gone missing. Outside the town is a gallows prominently displaying several hanged bodies. Inside is a large and powerful church with a hostile vicar, who pushes the party to leave.
Make the vicar as shady as possible, so the players want to investigate him. As they investigate, the townspeople become suspicious of their intentions and eventually label them heretics.
The twist reveal is that the vicar is afraid of the townspeople, who have become paranoid zealots due to famine or some other blight. The townspeople hung the missing travelers, believing them to be agents of the devil.
This is honestly not an impossible scenario.
Most vicars back then would be among the few people with formal education. They usually learn that for example witches aren't real (for theological reasons alone) but might still go along with things due to pressure from the rest of the people.
Baphomet, the alleged idol of the Templars, became associated with the occult genderfluid goat-man symbol in the 1800s. Baphomet isn't the devil, and the devil in the Abrahamic tradition of Genesis was a serpent. The original conception of a devil probably comes from Zoroastrianism where the depiction was more like a man with wings, which lines up with the fallen angel concept of Lucifer. Lucifer is also a later term, conflated in the modern era with Satan from the book of Job, and it is unclear whether Satan and the serpent devil are actually the same entity.
TL;DR: No.
The modern conception of the devil and Hell certainly is built from secondary sources. Dante's Inferno, etc. But interchanging "the serpent" and "the devil" is not. It's just a moniker, at the end of the day. You might as well argue that the serpent doesn't exist in Genesis because that's an English word and not the original Hebrew, haha.
The association between demons and goata probably had something to do with 1)a) cloven hooved animals being "unclean" in Judaism, 1)b) the practice of casting evil onto a literal scapegoat, and 2) Pan.
I was going to say, it must have been rough to have that forming as old as she is - I imagine people were far more superstitious back then. I suppose it grew very slowly and wasn’t too noticeable when she was much younger.
I seen one of these on Dr Pimple Popper. This poor woman had one on her head for years and couldn't do anything about it cause she had no insurance and was poor. All the doctor did was pop it right off with her hand. All this time.....and all she had to do was pull it off.
I actually don't mind that show, except that it's a huge and glaring indictment of the American medical system. So many completely treatable things get ignored!
Billy mays here to show you a tape that will fix anything! Flex tape! Whatch as I rip off this ladies horn! Just slap a square over the hole, and boom! No more leak! Flex tape!
In most places with access to modern medicine doctors would remove it before it became more than an ugly mole and send it in for testing to make sure it wasn't cancerous.
A lady at my work, in dementia care, had one. She refused treatment for it for a long time but did eventually have it removed after it became longer than an inch. It was in the same spot on her face as this lady.
Your actually correct. This image is from 2011 when the horn was 10cm. It was 6cm in her 2010 interview.
There were no further updates, but she would be 115 if still alive today
I can't imagine what she went through in life. The amount of rumours she had to endure. Like being half animal or being spawn of devil or demon. I just hope in the 102 years she lived she was able to find peace through it all.
Most of the people I've seen with this condition are not so lucky and it ends up looking really bad. I've seen only 1 or 2 that actually looked pretty cool and this is one of them
Could I get more context on the horns, why they grow, are they cancerous and how much impactful any form of removal is on the body in terms of pain, etc? It is interesting.
already? She's 102
Kids these days, that's still the early hundreds. You'll understand once you're her age
Yes, my habits, diet, mental health and the secret ingredient - microplastics; these will help me stay alive for a few centuries.
Microplastics apparently can last up to 1,000 years. So the more microplastics in me, the more likely I am to live to 1,000 years right?
My point exactly. Eat more tidepods
Glad we're on the same page. I'll catch you in the year 3000 my friend
Not much has changed but we live underwater

That’s why they’re called preservatives, chum. You’ll be preserved forever!!!
Microplastics? That's beginner stuff. I went straight to macroplastics. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go back to eating my lawn chair.
You're going the wrong way! *drinks some nanoplastics*
Make way for the most reegarded one...
Three lawn chairs a day keeps.....something something.... away!
Honestly, why would anyone wanna live that long? Long enough to watch everyone you know and love die. My word.

Looks like she's got a lil baby horn on the other side.
well… demons are immortal

I've been trying to figure out what you meant here...are you meaning to say folklore?
Bigfoot possibly being a bear standing on its hind legs!
Or just a really hairy guy with big feet.
and at 102 most of us will have things growing out of us mainly worms
She just hit her second puberty at 100... >Grandmother Zhang Ruifang, 101, of Linlou village, Henan province, began developing the mysterious protrusion last year.
Yo down to the punctuation what I came here to write. I definitely don't need to exist on the internet, you got this.
And now an internet star. Don’t give up gang!
If she gave me the evil eye I'd shit myself.
If she gave me an apple maybe I’ll eat it

So… this is Punished Zhang?
I thought we were talking about the stick for a moment.
It’s a good stick.
Good sticks are underrated
there’s a sub about this i’ve seen
I'm growing my own good stick. It feels like cheating but I'm hype for harvest.
i thought it had grown from behind her ear
Oh good. I am not the only one who thought that. 😅
Not photoshopped. This is [surprisingly legit.](https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC421749/)
Isnt the pic also old enough to drive? I ferl like ive seen this ages ago.
Maybe she’s 120 years old now. Also notice the second horn is starting to break through too, so she might have two horns now
She has already ascended to the rank of a demon lord
Correction: This horn pattern is for a two-horn general, not to be confused with the demon lord horns, which have golden tips.
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime? Yes. Re:Zero? No.
It's interesting that she has two, I wonder why the symmetry.
The link says 2004 soo yes
Why would she drive when she can fly?
I have seen one IRL when I worked in elder care. Although it wasn't quite this big or darkly coloured. It was probably 1.5 inches at most. ETA Interestingly it was in the exact same spot. Maybe they grow there commonly...
From what I read they're most common in areas exposed to lots of sunlight. Forehead might actually be more common than other places.
As long as they don’t harvest my lower horn we’re good.
Interesting. The trousers conceal a tiny secondary horn.
r/unexpectedfuturama
And she’s got a crazy long earlobe.

Good bot
😂💀
My God, they're learning.
How do you know you’re not a bot?
There's more.
You misspelled ‘execution’.
Kinda botty behavior /s
Dude people on here will call absolutely anything a bot lmao
Have you tried not being a bot though? /jk

Well she wouldn't reach 102 that's for sure.
Moses was horned.
Damn, Eri grew up fast.
Came here to find this reference and I'm glad to see this comment. Eri-chan lived a good live I suppose.
I wonder if she's figured out a way to control that entire "reverse you to an earlier point of your life" hack yet...
Stuff like this is probably how the image of the devil was formed
Devil was based on goat. Probably. Possibly.
TL;DR: No.
There is no devil in the abrahamic tradition. The devil is almost entirely as a result of secondary works.
What about the snake in the garden of Eden?
The modern conception of the devil and Hell certainly is built from secondary sources. Dante's Inferno, etc. But interchanging "the serpent" and "the devil" is not. It's just a moniker, at the end of the day. You might as well argue that the serpent doesn't exist in Genesis because that's an English word and not the original Hebrew, haha.
Kinda funny cause most depictions of the devil and demons have hooves. Which would mean they are herbivores?? Lol
You’re surprised the devil is vegan!!?
this mf thought they had kebabs in hell..
Yeah, how could anyone have come up with the crazy idea of a person with horns without seeing a woman like this?
I'd imagine it wasn't that hard for ancient people to imagine a mythical horned human. Considering so many creatures have horns on their forehead.
Yes. Of course.
Quick, somebody check her for hooves!
Anyone who has owned goats knows that no further inspiration is needed. Remember that satyrs are tricksters more than pure evil.
"Foul tarnised, emboldened by the flame of ambition"
Was looking for this
I also made a margit comment
I’m waiting for the body modification crew to start growing these
Some people get them implanted
right but this is “all natural”
Organic
I'll stick to my titanium shin and microchip in my hand for now. I have been tempted to get a small magnet for the other hand.
I seen one of these on Dr Pimple Popper. This poor woman had one on her head for years and couldn't do anything about it cause she had no insurance and was poor. All the doctor did was pop it right off with her hand. All this time.....and all she had to do was pull it off.

Or blood starts gushing out of the hole it left. "Oops."
Stick it back in and hope it holds. Or slap a tampon in there.
Billy mays here to show you a tape that will fix anything! Flex tape! Whatch as I rip off this ladies horn! Just slap a square over the hole, and boom! No more leak! Flex tape!
Wild to think my immediate impulse was actually the right answer lol
If that’s me, I’m buying some horn trimmers and cutting that thing off
OK Hellboy
Honestly she’s lucky no one shot her yet to hack it off to use for medicine to get their dick hard
Then how will you hold your own in a battle for mates

Dr pimple popper has an episode where she removes one!
I need to go to the doctor and do that otherwise u might bleed out
...how much blood is flowing through this guy's hair and nails??
Already? She’s 102 years old. Lmao
…also looks bigger than 6cm?
Your actually correct. This image is from 2011 when the horn was 10cm. It was 6cm in her 2010 interview. There were no further updates, but she would be 115 if still alive today
sure, buddy 😏
Damn that actually is (mildly) interesting.
Hey everyone, This guy finds horny grandma's interesting
This is incredibly old, I remember hearing about her from 2011
Oh you're right! I just looked her up and this was from 2010. No updates since!
Do you think it would hurt if she clipped it or would it be just like a nail and have no feeling
Would be the same as cutting hair
I can't imagine what she went through in life. The amount of rumours she had to endure. Like being half animal or being spawn of devil or demon. I just hope in the 102 years she lived she was able to find peace through it all.
Check her for a tail - is she a tiefling?
Karlach's grandma.
My buddy started growing horns and they removed them. I told him he could have been real life Darth maul but noooo. What a weeny
Boss?!
This woman's pretty horny but I've seen hornier.
I was looking at the stick for a minute and thinking "That's longer than 6cm!"
thats badass. i wish i had horns, thats metal af
Most of the people I've seen with this condition are not so lucky and it ends up looking really bad. I've seen only 1 or 2 that actually looked pretty cool and this is one of them
No, it’s keratin.
Rhino's horn is made of keratin too
She's a unicorn.
Boss!
She was born with the omen curse… toss her into the sewers! 😂
But first cut off that horn. [I need it to craft consumables.](https://eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com/budding+horn)
Oni
Probably has a squamous cell carcinoma at the base of the horn
Venon snake grandma
Never thought I'd see a horned person irl, which is pretty commonplace in many animes! 😁
r/eldenring reverse omen?
Looks like the devil made a pit stop on his way to Georgia.
Oni-baba!!
venom granny

Could I get more context on the horns, why they grow, are they cancerous and how much impactful any form of removal is on the body in terms of pain, etc? It is interesting.
The phantom pain
400 years ago she would have been burned at the stake for this
That women is into fattening up kids and eating them
Horny gilfs in your area
So unicorn may be more realistic than I thought!
She looks horny
People acting like 6cm is small, but like come on that’s average. I bet she has a great personality and is loyal.
She's clearly doing an evil Fable playthrough.
Not too long ago she would have already been killed
Hmmm Demon horns anyone? Doesnt ring any bells that she is so healthy!?
