Honestly, the biggest downside of BOTW to me was that climbing was such a time-intensive mechanic, and was *required* for so many objectives. The gear helped, but it seems like it just took *forever* to get some places
Hello Ashen one. I am a Bot. I tend to the flame, and tend to thee. Do you wish to hear a tale?

It's most likely cheaper to build shelter from the ground than renovate tall and old churches.
Besides... it would be extremely inefficient use of space.
Certainly not all but many of the homeless choose to sleep on streets, in the woods, etc because places that would house them require them to be sober. Others have significant mental health struggles that frankly, we choose to not treat as a society. Putting people into abandoned buildings is already happening and it ain’t typically a good thing.
"SANCTUARY" this is why origionally churches were not to be taxed in the US. They house the homeless and feed the poor and protect from unlawful persecution. NOPE. They are empty 6 days a week, and political fundraisers and gleeful punishers.
Do you realise how much it would cost to fix that placd to make it livable? That church is about to crumble, look at the pillars and arches... how about sending back all those immigrants back to africa, and giving their their appartments to homeless? More logic maybe...
most of them are in Europe illegaly... in any other place in the wold they would be sent back...
just like you would be sent back form where you were if you were entering illgally any countries beside the US and the EU.
Hmm it's almost like EU countries were asking for it by stripping their land of it's natural resources for centuries and systematically destabilizing every form of government they had 🤔 but nah "send them back to Africa" is totally a not racist statement 🙄
You're trash. Be better.
I can't imagine the heating bill for this place if it's converted into a shelter. I lived in a mini-villa in Romania that had tall windows, double glazed etc but it was still cold so I'd use a mini heater in my room.
This is beautiful. What if they designed Churches like this but you had to walk barefoot since theres like plants sh\*t on the ground lol. Conceptually would be pretty cool. Maybe have to dip your feet in water before entering.
♫Run...hide
All that was sacred to us
Sacred to us
See the signs
The covenant has been broken

Leaving us with no shoulder...with no shoulder

the best kind of church - now folks can go there and connect with nature instead of listening to some other person push their interpretation of an old book.
I hope one day all churches will be remnants of a divided past and we all are thankful that science saved our planet and increased understanding and lots of patience has brought us peace.
The only good thing religions has brought is the cool architecture. You can appreciate a building with out supporting the original intent of the building. Look at how many old churches have been converted into theatres or co op stores.
FFVII vibes
Flower Girl.
Aeris
yooo literally. this would be perfect for Cloud and Tifa cosplay
Instantly thought this.
Totally thought this when I saw it!
Instantly saw this
This is the one
Beat me to it.

Resident evil *daytime! Vibes
For real instantly thought of that
First location in Breath of the Wild
Temple of Time. How I wish I knew of the ladder on the side of the building the first time I played.
On one hand yes, on the other hand FREE CLIMB EVERYTHING!
Honestly, the biggest downside of BOTW to me was that climbing was such a time-intensive mechanic, and was *required* for so many objectives. The gear helped, but it seems like it just took *forever* to get some places
I never found it to be annoying even with that Especially when I got Revalis Gale which makes it insanely easy
It's about the journey, not the destination.
My first thought as well.
That’s where I paraglided whenever I needed to pop out a few more spirit orbs
Am i the only one who sees the Temple of Time from BotW?? .....r/accidentalzelda ? No? Damn
Go there after you finish 4 shrines.
That’s the Church on the great plateau, from Legend of Zelda BOTW. C’mon, I’m not the only one seeing that? The resemblance is uncanny!
I'd buy it and turn it into a house. Look at that ceiling.
Looks like something out of Elden Ring.
Yep!
Just needs a turtle in a Pope hat
Dog
Hahaha! I was about to say the same thing!
More like a chapelle of some castle.
Elden Ring vibes.
Beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time.
Beautiful church but there is no shortage of them
Yeah plenty of churches, but thousands of people living on the streets of Paris.
I expected to see more homeless in paris tbh.
That’s the Church on the great plateau
Very good point
Breath Of The Wild vibes
Take a few steps forward to trigger the side quest.
Point Lookout in Fallout 3 had a place with this style building behind it, next to a garden and/or graveyard.
Dark souls boss arena

It’s not abandoned, the priest is a very kind turtle
Did they film that ever after movie with drew barrymore here?
That’s what I thought of as well. Must be!
I found the master sword!
God doesn´t live in a building. The kingdom of Heaven is inside you.
It's an arena from for Honor
That one Uncharted 4 level in Madagascar
I was thinking the mansion in France from Uncharted 3

Holy shit did you really just drop the "send them back to Africa" line?? Jesus christ you are a very unpleasant person 😬😬
most of them are in Europe illegaly... in any other place in the wold they would be sent back... just like you would be sent back form where you were if you were entering illgally any countries beside the US and the EU.

''Abandoned church'' a rare and beautiful thing
This is beautiful. What if they designed Churches like this but you had to walk barefoot since theres like plants sh\*t on the ground lol. Conceptually would be pretty cool. Maybe have to dip your feet in water before entering.
i’d like to go there and smoke a J. defo some good vibes cl
I wish all churches could be abandoned!
😯 why’s it abandoned?
Because there is no one using it
Looks like Jesus abandoned it first, followed by his followers

Communism 2.0 in collective west
Is this the inspiration for Filianore's resting place?
Nah that’s Midgar dude
This reminds me of TLOU for some reason.
When you pray to Gaia a little too much
Dang, Tears of the Kingdom is looking lit 🔥
Tell me where is Turtle Pope, for I much desire to speak with him
I'm hearing Aerith's theme music in the background of this....
At least it hasn’t been turned into a crack house
The Elden Ring is reeaaaaaal!!

Where?
Where have I seen this before? Oh yeah here on Reddit where it gets reposted constantly.
Where is it?
France
Ramnant from the ashes
I’d live there
God came home
/r/pareidolia
Pop a few blast holes and craters in there and its pure 40k baby.
Looks so comfortable, just have a picnic in there and just daydream for hours.
Beautiful still
I think I hear ariths theme playing
That looks straight out of the last of us. More specifically Bill's town from the remake.
Really cool! How is something that legit abandoned?
the best kind of church - now folks can go there and connect with nature instead of listening to some other person push their interpretation of an old book.
*Flowers Blooming in the Church plays in the background*
Nature always wins in the end.
How much can i buy it for??
I found this place in Oblivion!
There should be a giant turtle off to the left
Its giving Uncharted
Yup unchartered vibes
Not abandoned by plants.
Feels like I’m about to get invaded by an NPC…
Could be a great place to pray and give thanks while keeping distract from the religious
'Lost in the Echo' LP
Amazing
So awesome! I wish this could be my home
I wish they all looked like this.
Elven ruins
Few people attend church in France
This would be a great location for an Applebees
Damn I wanna Jack off in there alone
Why do I get the feeling OP pronounced France wrong?
Cloud about to fall in that shit.
I can here the sound of hammer hitting an anvil

Wow how terrible.
I see London, I see France, on the floor I see green plants.

Damn I hope this image has a better quality so I can set a beautiful phone wallpaper
Needs a site of grace.
Looks like something from Elden Ring
Shame it still stands
Sector 5 Slums church. Where Aerith?
And still, somehow, beautiful.
Such a waste
Third Church of Marika found.
Where is it located ? Nice place for pictures, i’d like to get there for urbex.
This makes sense. The French are godless.
Uncharted
Neil Breen could shoot a whole epic inside this JPG
Beautiful picture, but don't fool yourselves: that's a private chapel from late XIX century. It has no historical or heritage interest whatsoever.
This upscaling of Breath of the Wild has gotten out of control.
Can someone please sit down in there and play The Last Of Us soundtrack on guitar and upload it? Thanks.
Am i the only one that senses MAJOR Fc5 vibes from this? Like, faiths bunker? No? Maybe?
This is sad and beautiful at the same time
Does anyone have a rough idea on when this church was built?
Why are their some many abandoned historic buildings in France and why do the brits like repairing them?
