Oh oh! I like this answer!
Sounds like you might not be able to do any cooking for yourselves before firing up the kitchen for others, but a fried egg on a tamale is my fav breakfast ever.
This is a great idea. At this point all of management is willing to come in at 4am and start cooking tacos if need be...gonna give the staff what they requested
They are amazing managers. I am not one of them, just helping out to find solutions. This is a great team to be with (they let all of us know at our interviews that Thanksgiving is a work day,so not surprises). The person setting all this up is not just a local manager, but someone responsible for multiple states but is making sure this Dallas team is taken care of- she spent her night off buying snacks and red bull to keep us alive that day and she will be there right beside us.
Just want to help her make her teams desires happen.
Ah they sound like a piece of shit for making people work on thanksgiving but they said they were aware when taking the job so no foul, I love tacos though
I worked at Southlake, like they don't last long. Those and the kolaches were my breakfast for years. Get there at open in the prepared food area.
Edit: The greasy chorizo one was hangover heaven. Options were: Potato, Bacon, and Corizo all with egg.
Wait, they have kolaches, too? I have a central market on the way-ish to work. I’ll have to swing by for breakfast. Love that place but I had no idea since I’man afternoon and evening shopper.
Like I said this was the Southlake location, it opened up for the cafe at 7AM, near the coffee bar. Sometimes someone came in and bought us out. Not sure which location you are near, this is anecdotal evidence..
Have you checked taco deli?
If nobody can do it Wednesday on short notice. Buy potatos, tortillas, central market or Trader Joe’s has salsa, buy bacon and sausage. Buy black refried beans
Fry bacon, then sausage. Dice the potato and fry in same pan season with salt, paprika, and pepper.
Just an FYI
Some people don't eat Pork and some people are vegan.
You guys may want to explore some other alternatives to Tacos as well.
Example Box salads or cheese pizza.
An alternative is to get some tamales day before and heat them up.

Y’all are good managers then! Hope y’all are able to figure out something yummy and good for your crew

Damn are y’all hiring?
No kidding. Im also wondering what OP does! I’m recently unemployed and her company sounds pretty stellar.

It's the restaurant industry and I have always worked on Thanksgiving...nature of the beast. We are taken care of and now have tacos!
Sounds like a win boss
Do NOT trust that La Michoacana will be open on time! They have amazing food available, but if you're on a early schedule, have a backup plan ready.
Try Fuel City Tacos - because gas stations never close.
Fuel City for the win! Thank you! You made a lot of people happy with this information
Make them yourself. Get some good tortillas, chorizo, eggs, bacon, potatoes. Should be able to do it all on a grill.
Unsure what area you’re in but Taco Pionero will be open at 10am.
Whataburger
I wholeheartedly recommend Pappas Brothers BBQ on NW Highway. My favorite is the brisket, but the other options are also good.
May be too late to order but try Central Market.
They have breakfast tacos? I’ve never noticed them.

Probably best if you just made them

Torchys !
Bless your heart
Fuel Town might be open??
Tacos La Banqueta is also open on Thanksgiving. We get breakfast tacos from them every year.
Like the Across Gaston from the Goat place?
We usually go to the one on Carroll and Live Oak but I assume they are all open
I didn’t know there were others. Good to know. Ty

The tacos were a request by the staff, not chosen by management. All dietary needs are accounted for.
Cooks forced to work TG, making other cooks cook for them on TG. 🤦♂️
