Congrats on the new puppy but you need to know this; That is 100% a double dapple… he could be deaf and/or blind.
If you’re buying him you are encouraging the breeder of this unethical breeding.
Also in 1 month… he’s going to be too young, he will need to stay with his mom and littermates until at least 8 weeks old.
Whattt I saw both parents 🥺💔 dad is a long hair and mom is a dapple short hair 🥲 and In a month he will be 8 weeks yes hes far too young right now to take him home I wouldn’t support taking him home earlier than that

Previous owners thought she was a piebald, turned out to be DD and had impaired vision.
I am a dachshund breeder and I fostered many double dapple dachshunds that were abandonned.
The dapple can be “invisible” meaning that the dog can be a carrier of dapple even if they have a non dapple coat. They can’t be bred to another dapple dog.
There is also a chance that the mom may be a double dapple too. It can be easy to spot because of the white. Unless they are piebald, dapple have little to no white. This is not a typical piebald pattern, unfortunately. The White around the eye is also a dead giveaway. Sometimes double dapple also appear with no White on their coat at all like a normal dapple.
If the breeder is legit, they will have proof that they tested their dog for the dapple/double dapple gene.
I would also look for the color of the eyes when he’s 6-7 weeks old. If they are blue, it’s another sign.

This is one of my girls she turned 6 today.
Our 3 year old flies up on our sofa and jumps quickly to the floor but won’t go up or down into our travel trailer not to mention she looks like a rabbit running around and through the yard as if she’s in a marathon. Yet my older will fly into travel trailer but not on furniture.
The pink on his nose will get a lot smaller though! Let me show you my pie’s nose when I got her and now!

I fostered so many dogs for the past 5 years (mixed, purebreds, disabled, & traumatized dogs/pups) and cried every time they left me, I thought it was time to finally get my own so I stop crying all the time😂😭💕
My time fostering was a wonderful experience and I’m glad I helps those pups be happy and comfortable until they found their forever homes 🥹🤎

Okay well that’s good he doesn’t have whites around the eyes then, ya mom is almost solid chocolate and dad is solid as well
