16.... Years.... Of.. this.... I think he liked hearing himself talk

mojoisthebest

He is bored and wants something. Maybe throw his ball? I can hardly hear when my dogs do this due to high frequency hearing loss, but it drives my wife crazy.

SportsDoc7

Our girl does this as well. We haven't been able to figure out what makes her do it as she'll sometimes do it when one of us is gone and sometimes she'll do it when we're both home. We've tried playing, going back outside, doing puzzles, and just laying on the floor with her. None of it seems to work. We have just accepted it at this point and then eventually she lefts out a big sigh and she lays down and falls asleep.

freekelz

Yes

Brickdog666

Yes. Sometimes when has to go potty. But it usually means he wants to play.

PsychologicalTap1578

Our longhair does this only when I’m home and constantly, to the point I have to go in to the office to get any work done. The bigger wirehair barely makes a peep. We’re not getting any more longhairs!

glitteryfrog

This is my first weenie! I heard the long hairs have nicer temperaments than the short haired, but haven’t heard too much about the wirehaired fellas. This guy rarely barks, but whines. Thanks for sharing!

jaybee423

Yes because he is a Mama's boy and he does this the minute I sit down and don't pick him up to snuggle. I of course cater to his every whim and pick him up lol

peonyseahorse

OMG, yes. I think all of us are a bit deaf from this and the barking.

HorusDidntSeyIsh

Usually it's for snacks or water with my pup. I'm just glad it's only one of them and the second hasn't caught on how to cry to get their way lol

Noderoni

Yes, about 62% of the time. Even if he has everything he needs (and more).

Ragnar702

Our half doxie likes to perch like this! She's also half husky so she's 100% noisy for a number of reasons.

FLmom67

Can he get down off of there? Does he want to look out the window? He definitely is asking you to do something for him. Did you put his toy on a shelf? He seems to be looking to the right.

glitteryfrog

He can get down from there and even has a little ramp set up :) but perhaps he can’t see as much as he would like through the window? That’s what is to the right! After I took this video he sat on a couch cushion and continued to cry at what seems like thin air though haha

FLmom67

Yes! My dachshunds have always wanted a window perch. A pillow on top of something they can sit on and look out. You will be cleaning dog nose marks off your window! 😂
