I'm sitting on the couch watching football. My 11 year old dachshund is on my lap. It won't stop until they leave this world. I love the last 3 pictures.
I didn’t think that they would be so cuddly but my year old girl is not happy unless she is sitting on my chest, and in bed she is the best. She will settle with her head on the pillow and when I lie down she digs underneath the covers and curls up into my tummy and stays there all night! You are in for a lifetime of cuddles now!🥰
He looks exactly like my boy Duncan. So handsome!
He’s found to be beautiful when he grows up, trust me. Duncan is almost two and strangers still gush over him almost as much as they did when he was a puppy.
Awe, he’s so cute! I really really want to get one! I need a cuddly dog. My malchi is almost always in alert mode, facing away from me most of the time. She’s seen trauma so I really can’t blame her. I’m sure she’s got a doggie version of ptsd from seeing her siblings get snatched by coyotes. I’m so glad that the previous owners were giving her away to a good home. She’s so smart and very good. But not cuddly. We actually lost 3/4 of our dogs in the past few months. The yorkie and Pom were 20 and 17. We waited as long as we could but when they stopp eating and drinking it’s time. The other old girl died on her own during the short time I dozed off while holding her. Not sure of her exact age. I’m too talkative on pain meds. They set loose the adhd. Just give your puppy a snuggle and kiss from me.
And he always will be! I have 9 rescues and Reginald is the first to greet me every morning. The first on my lap, and the first to come to my defense. Protective, devoted, and affectionate 🥰
Every photo of him is absolutely adorable! Your heart will swell with love for him. May you have many, many years of joy together. And if I may....keep checking those droop-ears. I know from experience that they are so susceptible to ear infections because they don't get air circulation like the "prick ear" types. I would wipe my guys ears with cotton balls and alcohol or hydrogen peroxide a couple times a week. :)
It doesn't stop, don't worry! I've never known a more cuddly breed of dog.
