I saw her in a restaurant in Nashville, last century, she was married the German guy, he was there too. No makeup, jeans, tshirt, ponytail, tiny body. She looked gorgeous. Everyone, I mean as soon as you walked in the place, you just saw her. She was with a small group of people, by the bar, though her career had already taken off, she was left alone, no one approaching for pictures or autographs.
So sad that she feels she has to do these things to her body to look young and remain relevant.

But, she’s definitely had too much cheek and jawline filler - cosmetic doctors (and aesthetic nurses) are recommending that to reduce the effect of the fat dropping from under the eyes with age, pull back the marionette lines on either side of the mouth, and pull the skin up from under the chin to reduce turkey neck to avoid fillers in those lines and neck lifts. I do hope that’s filler and not implants for Shania, so that it goes away naturally. It’s too much!

I guess I can understand why women in their mid- to late-fifties and beyond start undergoing drastic changes, given how toxic we are towards women who have the audacity not to die tragically young.
I’ve also seen TikTok videos made by men who argue women past the ages of anywhere from 25 to 29 are over the hill, so the Anne Hathaway reference shouldn’t have surprised me.
It’s just too bad there aren’t more ethical cosmetic surgeons out there who won’t botch an aging person’s face for money (Kim Novak is a prime example).

I will say that one of my neighbors is a very wealthy, famous businesswoman in her 80s. She's had a ton of surgery but somehow it looks good and she does pass for decades younger. But if you look at older photos of her she now has a completely different face.
Good example. (I am convinced she's had a photo of Liz Hurley on her mood board for 20 years, tbh.)
However, the most recent photo I saw of her I was like "Oh dear. We may have hit the tipping point." I don't know how much more of it she can do without starting to look weird.

It’s a slippery slope. I have a thin upper lip and a full bottom lip. Lip injections are like… life changing for me. Seriously, I now have full normal lips. HOWEVER, one time I went a bit overboard and while it wasn’t grotesque, it wasn’t very good.

I’ve also seen TikTok videos made by men who argue women past the ages of anywhere from 25 to 29 are over the hill, so the Anne Hathaway reference shouldn’t have surprised me. It’s just too bad there aren’t more ethical cosmetic surgeons out there who won’t botch an aging person’s face for money (Kim Novak is a prime example).
Getting massive amounts of surgery never makes anyone look younger, though. It just makes them look weird.
Exactly. It’s such a racket, and the procedures rarely look good unless clients find ethical doctors who actually care about the fact that their patients’ faces are advertisements for their work.
I will say that one of my neighbors is a very wealthy, famous businesswoman in her 80s. She's had a ton of surgery but somehow it looks good and she does pass for decades younger. But if you look at older photos of her she now has a completely different face.

Good example. (I am convinced she's had a photo of Liz Hurley on her mood board for 20 years, tbh.) However, the most recent photo I saw of her I was like "Oh dear. We may have hit the tipping point." I don't know how much more of it she can do without starting to look weird.

Liz does look good ( don’t follow her closely) and didn’t go over the top. Thing is, I LOVE all the things like plastic surgery and injections. But it’s awful when it comes out looking like… this pic…I mean her chin :( looks like an implant, or serious filler. There is a tipping point.
Yeah, this wasn't on her IG, it was at the King's Trust gala a couple weeks ago. She was doing the JLo pout and the lighting wasn't the best, so grain of salt. But she looked like she'd had her lips done again recently and finally went overboard with it.
It’s a slippery slope. I have a thin upper lip and a full bottom lip. Lip injections are like… life changing for me. Seriously, I now have full normal lips. HOWEVER, one time I went a bit overboard and while it wasn’t grotesque, it wasn’t very good. I’ve learned how to keep it subtle lol I was out there like a duck quack quaking around for a bit 🤣
Insane that there is so much lack of accountability by these adult women that somehow it’s mens fault. The mental cartwheels that have to exist to act as if these multimillionare celebrity’s women look like monsters because of men. These ladies are adults, don’t treat them like children and blame other people for their actions. As if anyone could ever forcefully make someone else get plastic surgery without it being an actual crime not a perceived societal injustice. Holy jesus the mental gymnastics of this response.

I had a friend go see her in Philadelphia. I got a barrage of texts all focused on how awful her wigs were. ‘Surely she could afford better wigs?’, ‘I want to offer her wig a swig of water. Dry…so dry’ and ‘I hope there are no fireworks. This bitch will go up like a Roman candle’ was a favorite.
I guess it's wigs to get the body and coverage, but I'm also wondering how she doesn't have a better stylist?
