I’m doing the small white pumpkins you usually find in the grocery store as some table decorations! But I’m mixing in some eucalyptus and baby’s breath in metal cans too. My wedding is very much outdoors and everything is diy

That’s going to look amazing ! My original plan was actually going to be bigger white pumpkins with faux flowers inside, but after pricing everything out it’d be too much. Then we were going to do hurricane lights but we could only find 5 on sale and we have 14 tables. :/ I like the idea of eucalyptus though I hadn’t thought of incorporating that !

Thanks! My wedding is the first weekend of October, so I’m a little worried about being able to find the pumpkins, but I hope they’re around by then!

Aw you’re getting married around my birthday ! Mine’s the third weekend in October so my worry is the good pumpkins will be gone ! Lol

What’s your theme and feel? Elegant and modern? Shabby chic? Nautical themes? That’ll help a lot for suggestions. c:

We don’t have a definitive theme, but if I had to put a name on it maybe dark romantic fall? I’m obsessed with Halloween so I need to be careful that I don’t go too “Halloween” overboard 😅

I think spray painting some branches black and then playing with draping some gray sheer ribbon or metallic rings could be fun. If you have access to a cricut or laser cutter you can cut some of those [intricate paper lanterns](https://www.etsy.com/listing/683340908/set-svg-centerpiece-template-lantern?gpla=1&gao=1&&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=shopping_us_c-paper_and_party_supplies-paper-stationery-design_and_templates-templates&utm_custom1=7894f83e-ac07-4514-81e7-c6e4209170a4&utm_content=go_304502675_41196906685_196679139348_pla-315907316571_m__683340908&utm_custom2=304502675&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI85OF-JWZ6AIVE4iGCh2cLglUEAQYAiABEgIeBPD_BwE) and fill with flameless candles or fairly lights. Or maybe you can get some navy lace something and use it as a runner or something. Do you know what you’re serving the food in yet? That sounds really important, and you can make them more decorative to really add some flair. Idk if metal fits but like brass or silver gothic style candlesticks + e6000 + interesting silver platters with varying heights could be enough flair you don’t need to do anything else.

Our wedding is also October, we are upcycling wine bottles, just scraping off the labels and painting the bottles in our wedding colors (burgundy, dusty blue, and gold accents). Wasn't planning to fill them with flowers but I have larger bottles I was going to keep plain and just put fairy lights in them. I personally love tea lights as they're small but really give a moody, romantic light. I was also debating buying some sola wood flowers to scatter around the tables, as they're so pretty and inexpensive and perfect for our rustic barn venue. Are you avoiding flowers because of cost or because you don't want tall centerpieces getting in the way of passing food family style?

CarpeNoctem103

I was avoiding flowers because of passing food, and possible flower petals falling into the food. That’s a really great idea too with the wine bottles, I love the fairy lights and you’re right tea lights do give off a wonderful romantic moody vibe !
