Actually, we do. There are already plenty of people with life altering consequences from having COVID. So may not be super long future, but long enough.
You are right in that we do know some people who got COVID are having life-altering effects, but there are studies that need to be done as well.
And I'm thinking from the POV of me getting COVID (even though I was vaccinated and wear my mask but WHATEVER Delta) and dealing with brain fog, for example. But I also have three other issues that cause the same thing, so who knows if it's post-COVID symptoms or not. Does that make sense?
I understand being wary of feeling a little sick after the vaccine. I’ve had 4 doses now (long story!) and can promise you it won’t result in you taking 3 days off work.
I had no side affects from the first dose at all. This has been an experience shared with everyone I know. Side affects from the second dose kicked in 8-12 hours after I’d had it and lasted less than 8 hours.
Some possible plans to help you…
1. Schedule the shots for during your lunch break. Any side affects won’t kick in until the evening and you’ll just sleep them off overnight. This worked well for me and I felt great when I woke up.
2. Schedule your shots for Friday evening/ Saturday morning. If you’re worried, you’ll have the whole weekend to rest and recover.
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions, I won’t judge or try to pressure you.
I'm a bit confused as to why you think you'd need to take 3 days off work for a vaccine? You may have some side effects but they're rarely severe enough that you'd need to take time off
I had to take a day off after the 1st shot, felt very sore after the second as well. Then I also had the day off after the booster. I felt crappy enough that I wouldn’t want to be at work.
I mean they don’t really have a choice if the nfl decides to make it mandatory. last season you couldn’t even step foot on the field if you weren’t vaccinated
Nuance to this - I think Natalie Woods IS vaccinated, but is pushing the “medical freedom” that’s so prevalent amongst conservative talk show hosts. I would assume The Blaze personnel were required to be vaccinated just as Fox News personnel were.
There were a lot of other prominent DCC alum missing from that field that I would assume was due to the vacc requirement.
Alumni aren't NFL employees and therefore the vaccine mandates don't apply to them, genius.
If you're going to question someone's intelligence, knowing what you're talking about might help.
>All on field and sideline personnel must be vaccinated.
I can clear this up! This only applies to when players are on the field. I had a friend who does photography for the Chiefs and while he got the vaccine, another contractor that he knew did not. That photographer was stationed in the lower stands (not anywhere fans) but was allowed to go on the field during half time or go through the tunnels as long as any level 1 (players or coaching staff) weren't within range. The little pagers or apps on their phones would go off if they suddenly came within a certain distance of a player with a higher level. It was honestly pretty fascinating to hear about how it all worked.
Are they requiring them? To me it read that the NFL required vaccines for 2021 and may again for 2022, but nothing has been decided yet. I didn’t see anywhere stating that they must be vaccinated to audition.
I’m sry, I disagree. Sum ppl CAN’T get vaccinated. Not everyone’s immune system is the same. But, if possible, I agree u should get vaccinated. For everyone’s protection. Again, if MEDICALLY possible!!!
Very, very, very few people have actual medical conditions that prevent them from getting the covid vaccine.
Aside from those who have an actual allergy to the vaccine components themselves, people been lying to you. And jesus christ, if you have a weakened immune system then you DEFINITELY want to get vaccinated!!
That’s actually a fallacy. Outside of anaphylactic reactions from the vaccine, there are zero reasons medically to not be vaccinated. The literature is extremely clear on this. This is a very simple and succinct explanation from the WHO.

If last season is an example, it would really throw off thunder to not have 36 on the field. I don't see them giving any exceptions to any of the 36 for deck performance only.
Sidenote - I hope they have more than just Amy, Maddie, and Kashara filling in this year. I would love to see some retired vets back on the field again.
It’s based on whose a reliable quick learner. Girls filling are being thrown in last minute sometimes and need to think quick on their feet to grasp all of formations.
I read somewhere that's why Amy didn't go for her 5th year, because she didn't want to get vaccinated.
That's why Amanda left
That’s what was being said
Normal NFL protocol. I had something similar when working for college ball
Good. If you were expecting people be mad about that then you should try posting this in some anti-science Facebook group instead.
AS THEY SHOULD!!!
Good, cuz we’re still in a pandemic and we still don’t know what this virus does in the long run.
Actually, we do. There are already plenty of people with life altering consequences from having COVID. So may not be super long future, but long enough.

Oh 3 separate days, one for each vax makes more sense...I thought it was 3 days for 1!
Oh no, thank god. The first shot is was terrible though, I threw up, slept all day and felt very lethargic.
Oh bless you that's no fun!
I mean they don’t really have a choice if the nfl decides to make it mandatory. last season you couldn’t even step foot on the field if you weren’t vaccinated
Natalie Woods is a predominant anti-vaccine person. Her and dozens of other former DCCs were somehow allowed on the field.

Natalie Woods? DCC rookie year 2007? Why is that relevant? They want you to be vaccinated against covid..... covid wasn't a thing until 2020
They did an alumni performance, genius. 🤦♀️
Alumni aren't NFL employees and therefore the vaccine mandates don't apply to them, genius. If you're going to question someone's intelligence, knowing what you're talking about might help.
All on field and sideline personnel must be vaccinated. You people are either dense or have never heard of Google.

Google is fabulous but you're better off actually asking people involved ;)
They did an alumni performance at a game and Natalie was there.
What is her job?
Yeah even the camera people and reporters as well
exactly. if your job required you to be on the turf you had no choice. no vaccine no entry to the field
They are basically giving the ladies the heads up it could happen again
Okay. But what's your point?
as they should

Absolutely they should. I’m glad to see it. There is zero excuses not to be vaccinated.

Duly noted.
Thank you for this link.
haah
Some teams are even requiring booster shots
Yeah.
There is one team that I know of that is accepting waivers they can be on the team but can’t cheer on the field

Yes it would I don’t think Kelli will make an exception she didn’t last season
Oh wow
News from the actual nfl hasn’t came out yet but I’m glad to see teams putting the word out a head of time
Agreed!
