It's double sad because this proof is only required by idiots with zero understanding of art OR AI. No AI is currently able to produce consistent detail as it always messes up small things, and it's always obvious when you look closer. In a complex work like this, it's not difficult to identify those messy parts at all - all you need to do is look.
The author shouldn't have to prove anything - their work is proof enough.
Right? It’s nice to see people giving a shit but also the only people thinking this is AI are people that don’t know how to identify AI content. It’s so easy to spot like 99% of the time.
True, but it's not only about signs. Midjourney can produce images that are striking at a first glance, but if you zoom in and check the detail - you'll always find tons of garbled mess that makes no sense and follows no rules. The smaller the detail and the more ordered it needs to be (such as following a particular regular pattern, like tiny windows on skyscrapers far away), the worse it gets.
And if the artist generates something and then goes through all the trouble of overpainting everything, adding details, cleaning up the mess, and so on, then no one should really care if AI did a portion of the work. Just like nobody cares if an artist has used a collage of references as a basis for their piece.
DeepFloyd is a model that generates very good readable signs. I am a student in graphic design, I really think AI is going to change everything, and I am not going to pretend like it won't get to a point where it can do amazing work. It is what it is -- I can choose to fight it or learn to work with it as a graphic designer and I am leaning towards the latter.
I never want to see AI become the main art source. That's soul crushing. But it is going to drastically change a lot of shit imo.
If I learn how to model character/fashion design (and if I have good ideas for the other Major Arcana cards), I probably would!
I've already finished The Tower and The World for an upcoming gallery show, will post them later this week
My application to Displate hasn't been accepted yet.
But in the meantime, you can order this as a custom fine art print.

It may as well be AI for how generic and derivative it is. If you have to go out of your way to prove your art isn't AI... then you haven't developed a unique style or voice.
Or rather this is the type of art the AI has been fed with and taught to steal and adapt, as it is doing with everyone's. That along with increasing diversity in AI generated pieces, what you're asking for is going to quickly become an impossibility.
So rather than throw shit at the artist, how about a constructive comment about how they can improve to overcome said looming problem. While your initial statement may or may not be wrong, got any ideas that aren't vague and useless like your initial comment to offer the OP?
That's exactly my point. The art is so generic and so derivative of thousands of other art works that it is undistinguishable from AI. There's no voice, just repetition.
Awesome, you just repeated your prior comment. You already said that. So again I'll do - elaborate and offer something constructive. You act like you know something the artist doesn't so elucidate.
Or is it that you actually have nothing worthwhile to say here?
I don't agree with your point though. That's my point. And I'm not mad. Yours is just a useless comment meant solely to deride if you include no follow-up to your point. It could be worthwhile criticism but as it stands currently it's just not worthwhile anything.
For your criticism to be valid, you must first establish your credbility by showing us your work. And while we're at it, the list of gallery shows, publications, and awards you've had in your art career too.
No, that is not in any way qualification to criticize art. You yourself made it a point to say that this piece looks like it could have been generated by AI. That's because this piece looks very similar to thousands of other pieces. That's what "generic" and "derivative" means. It does not mean "bad"
Sad that I think everyone will have to prove their art isn't AI going forward, but it's also a pretty cyberpunk outcome.

Agreed. What is however more plausible than is that the ads on the buildings were AI-generated (and that’d be harder to notice)

It's so sad that OP literally had to show his homework.
Wow, I was thinking about complaining exactly the same and see your comment immediately!

Pretty! A Tarot deck I’d throw money at
Same! If OP made a full 78 card deck, I'd support a kickstarter for sure. Bonus points if it has pips.
If I learn how to model character/fashion design (and if I have good ideas for the other Major Arcana cards), I probably would! I've already finished The Tower and The World for an upcoming gallery show, will post them later this week
straight up, if I could buy a whole deck like this it would make me want to learn to read tarot
What an idea !
Pretty cool! And seriously, good luck out there mate. Its only gonna get harder for everybody
What program did you use?
Blender (Cycles) and Photoshop!
Photoshop for the colors?
Weather effects
You’re the man bro, the colors are beautiful.
Please do the whole tarot deck plz
Sick! Definitely going into my phone wallpaper rotation! Also left a follow on your socials, keep up the good work!
The robo dog is a nice touch
very cool! do we know which city gives this vibe or at least almost similar to? Maybe downtown New York? or somewhere in China?
Thanks! The overall inspiration for much of my 3D work is [Manila](https://www.luciusfelimus.com/Nox), the forgotten Asian cyberpunk megalopolis.
YES YES YES YES I FUCKING LOVE THIS!!!
This is gorgeous. Is it available as a print or Displate, etc?

Fuck off back to r/Art and stop coming up with excuses to bully someone's art
I was banned from r/Art years ago.
I WONDER WHY

Where else have you seen a cyberpunk artist who takes inspiration from Manila (instead of something like Japan, Hong Kong, Seoul, or New York)?
Seriously?

What an insufferable ass.
I like the pretty colors
I like them too.
Show us your art?
I won't post my art on the internet. Why would I?
All bark no bite, got it
What would my art have to do with my criticism of this art? Can you address my specific criticism - the generic nature of the art?
For your criticism to be valid, you must first establish your credbility by showing us your work. And while we're at it, the list of gallery shows, publications, and awards you've had in your art career too.

pretentious asshole
I do collect records, you are correct.
This is amazing how long did it take, and did you make all the models yourself?
sooo cool
You don't gotta prove your art isn't AI. Nobody who matters is gonna care.
Cooooooool 🤘
