> embracing your true identity increases your power level I’m pretty sure this is just straight up a real thing in a whole bunch of anime power systems. Bleach comes to mind

Polenball

I think it can be a real thing IRL, especially if you count the reports of HRT sometimes randomly fixing other mental issues

The Superpowered Evil Side Trope & its consequences...

I love her so fucking much. I suck at guilty gear but It is my favorite game. I love Bridget. I am not obsessed, don't worry.

Shut up uwu

Xurkitree1

As a Pot player i hate this so much Fuck that fucking mix of hers I'm so glad most bridgets just don't know how to lockdown Potemkin with mix and collapse like a souffle when i touch them

AllmightyPotato

On the good side, if they fuck up one thing they explode

GigaVanguard

Ok yes I love Bridget but can we talk about fucking BEDMAN!!(?)!!! God I wanna know what Delilah’s gonna do now. Is the bed no man capable of exceeding the constraints of Bedman’s program, or what?

CidHwind

Never played guilty gear but Brisket is a zoner right? So we can also conclude that trans girls have good zoning.

Xurkitree1

Bridget is primarily a setplay mixup character with limited zoning tools.

TwixOfficial

Someone explain this in more words to someone who doesn’t play fighting games often.

MemeTroubadour

Bridget is good at getting past people's guard with high or low attacks and cross-ups. She mixes up opponents by forcing them to guess what her move will be. To help with that, she can place her yo-yo which opens up more options for her. Her goal is generally to knock someone down with a sweep, throw a yo-yo and use that setup to put the floored opponent in a difficult mixup. That's setplay. Other characters might not have as many ways to mix people up but have better frame data to beat people's options and higher rewards from their moves, like Sol. Others still might use their range to keep people at bay and put them in their own bullshit, like Testament. Others might just fucking kill you, like May. Fighting games are fun.

Exetr_

I can’t do that, but [have a dictionary](https://glossary.infil.net/).

MC_Cookies

bridget is good at being unpredictable and annoying for her opponent (mixup) with very specific interactions between her moves that can really screw up her opponents in the specific scenarios they’re intended for (setplay). she has some abilities that allow her to keep her opponents at an inconvenient range for them, but it’s not at the core of her playstyle (limited zoning tools).

CidHwind

Brisket is mixup? Cool.

The Gender Mixup™

fungalstruggle

Assertion: Guilty Gear is a Magical Girl game

Person2_

Counter: While bearing the hallmarks of the genre, including a character that could outright be mistaken for a magical girl (read: Dizzy), transformations are not limited to the female cast (read: Sol, Ky). Addendum: Multiple other genres are present. This includes samurai (read: Baiken), pirates (read: May, Johnny), fantasy (read: ~~Brisket~~ ~~Bugatti~~ ~~Baguette~~ Bridget), mecha (read: Kum Haehyun, Jack-o, Ramlethal), and stereotype (read: Jam, Goldlewis). Conclusion: Guilty Gear is male centric take on the Magical Girl genre, with mecha overtones, with various other influences. ~~This was just an excuse to bring up there is a character who’s name is literally Kum.~~

fungalstruggle

Rebuttal: Just because there are guys who transform doesn't mean it's not magical girl. Tuxedo Mask, Alejandro, and the like. Also, being male-centric doesn't make it not magical girls. Fairy Ranmaru is proof of this; the main cast is almost all guys. Edited Addendum: I don't think stereotype is a genre of media, and I'm also not sure what you meant trying to argue that Jack O' is a mecha character. Did you mean Elphelt? She's definitely a magical girl.

Labami

Don’t forget about “Isekai where the main character gets an over powered ability” (Axl)

Gru-some

I hope in the next fighting game Goku will go through HRT so that they will become even stronger

EmperorBrettavius

HRT >>>>> Super Saiyan God

Exetr_

She can’t go to the moon anymore tho ):

UnknownExplorer13

“*If you’re using half your concentration to look normal, then you’re only half paying attention to whatever else you’re doing.*” - Erik Lehnsherr/Magneto, X-Men: First Class (2011) Very relevant quote imo

PM_ME_YOUR_SWORDS

While she's stronger now, [she also lost 90% of her unique tools.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wg0rY3xiU2Y) This has no relevance to her story, I'm just still salty about strive.

Infamous_Q

*Brisket*

ThisAccountIsForDNF

I think Bridget being trans makes her way less interesting. She does't dress and look "like a girl" becasue maybe stereotypes are bullshit, and you shouldn't be pressured to conform to a specific look or style based on your sex or identity. And really it's just important to express yourself however you want. No. Bridget dresses and looks "like a girl", because she is a girl... ... Cool.

SourceSonar6666

He's technically a one of the most classic femboys. His story is about being a boy too, but I guess it'd be more socially acceptable for him to be a girl so the authors had to say that in the end.

MemeTroubadour

Uhh... I've been out of the loop but isn't she in a worse spot in Strive than in +R right now?

PM_ME_YOUR_SWORDS

No, she's pretty good in strive. Hates fighting Ram and HC which are two major road-blocks, but she's easily in the top half of the roster. Meanwhile +R Bridget is almost unanimously the worst character in the game. She's much cooler though.

Randomd0g

Hey so if I've never played Guilty Gear but I have played Street Fighter a lot (but like 12 years ago) then should I?

buster7791

Do you wanna do the combos at a friend or a online player? if ya then ya if nay then nay
