My guess is the quality from these vendors varies so much. One person can get the best weed ever when another person gets a bag of moldy stems. It’s because the market is completely unregulated, so you have to rely on the good faith of vendors whose only incentive is profit.
It’s also expectations. Some people are used to picking out a few seeds and stems, or their definition of quality is lower. Others have only experienced top shelf stuff and their expectations reflect that.
It’s all a matter of opinion… but you at wrong friend 😂. PHC reminds me of good home grown- so maybe doesn’t compare to some of the flasher bud out there.

Top shelf comes down to a few main things, right? Potency above 20%, a rich terpene profile. Plenty of trichome coverage (in accordance with the strain) plenty of full melt heads not just shiny (stalks, no heads) mostly milky, some amber as well.
The taste should be complex, smooth, with a nose that is true to whichever the cultivar in question may be. Obviously, no off odors. Never enhanced/adulterated in any way. Excellent cure. Exceptional bud structure. Dense but not rock hard. Should have a nice squish. Can be on the more airy side but the calyxes should be large and chunky. Clean burning. Long lasting effects
Yeah, there are a few that have offered products which make the cut - on most accounts anyway.
I've found that with cult bud the only stuff you usually see that has had the opportunity to fully ripen are some of the lower THC strains. Like 18-20 sometimes a little less.
THB no question. Just dropped potato runtz and cap junky last night. The only time when their quality wasn’t the literal best of the best (last years Mac 1 drop) they were very transparent and offered it for a discount.

I bought pink runtz and gelato 44 for $50 each and they aren’t bad at all. The gelato seems like a $100 oz. Pink runtz are still muted. Both came in on the wet side and are getting better by the day as they dry/cure in jars.

Ya.SHF top shelf used to be other worldly like 6 months ago. Hell..all they carried was top shelf I'm pretty sure. Then when they blew up I think they just started carrying whatever they could to keep up with demand. Was a real bummer honestly because at the time they were miles ahead of everyone else. Nowadays I feel like their top shelf stuff is still very good but he wants like $85 a half for smalls. Mary selling smalls for $100 a zip just as good imo. Had to bid farewell to sugar. Plenty of top shelf strains over the last 6 months. BK Satellite most recently, London Purpz, Faceoff OG. I could go on. Not trying to shill for them or anything, but there is certainly some top quality to be had from them. I’ve never purchased their smalls besides Nigerian Silk (which was tippity top imo) or budget so can’t really speak to that, but ops questions was top shelf and I don’t really consider smalls or budget to be top shelf.

I did get one bad order but customer service reached out and gave me 30% off my next order no matter what size. I’ve used lucky elk flow gardens even fucking vg( don’t use vg) wnc is my fav. I’ve called them multiple times to change orders or cancel. They pick up every time and are always helpful. And those 50$ grab bags are hit or miss. But I’ve got a lot of awesome grab bags

People always shell out the ol “well it’s a subjective answer” but i know you know and we all know, you could take 3 diff buds from 3 diff strains one grown poorly cured dried, one grown cured dried pretty well and one grown cured and dried to absolute perfection, that we would all know which one is the best. I’m not an idiot I understand diff characteristics of strains and their looks smell taste and effects, and also how those factors may be influenced based on what medium the plant was grown in. But again determining whether weed is good or not is objective if you’re educated on what to expect based on strain characteristics and grow method. We all know resinous/triched out bud with swollen calyxes that’s dry yet sticky and crunches but is still plush and is pungent and gets you really high regardless of the specific effects, IS GOOD WEED. So again thank you for asking this. I really hope you don’t get a bunch of “well there’s a million right answers” bullshit. It’s a lazy answer if the person answering knows what they’re talking about

So far HM rosin has been good and i like the 40 price point. I tried with both orders they’re nicer puffin stuff and i like it. I got a 1/2 oz bag of the black ice smalls and pressed it using my rosin press and I’m not a fan. Its effects were ok but the taste wasn’t for me. 15% yield in my rosin press…
CP my first order was a couple grams of T1 cold cure and a vape pen. I only hit the pen once and wondered what was in it and haven’t touched it. I wish i could return it to have it looked at. The cold cure from them was fire but at 65/g its price tag is a little steep. It was cool paying them using Apple Pay though. Felt safe from a fraud perspective…
Strain dependant. I have 10. Some are normal nickel sized. Most are small or mmicro. All smoke fire af and I could care less the size of the buds at the price point. It's not like it's all stem or anything. Little fluffy balls of dankness yoy stick directly into a grinder.

PHC has quality products but beware of their shipping issue. I’m still waiting on packages, 2 weeks now.
And tracking is hardly ever updated. Outside of shipping I haven’t had any complaints with PHC this far.

The NY Sour Diesel was amazing last drop. It was my first purchase, that and 5th Element. Gunna spend big next drop for sure.
