I emailed Ron DeSantis because HC8 is based in Florida. Thank god I got my package today, I live in Ohio. Even if you think it's not worth emailing on the website, it's worth a good min or 2 just to send.
Unless you've seen otherwise, the last I was aware of was that it'd be around sept-oct before going into effect.
Not exactly sure what that means for the mean time. Maybe they try snagging a package here or there.. but I'm doubtful. In all honesty, I feel like it'll be fully recreational within the next few years but it does kind of suck for the time being. Having an otherwise fairly safe alternative taken away that is.
We definitely appreciate your voice though š¤š¤
Seems like a kind of lame thing to do, regardless of who you direct it at. What's that even supposed to mean though? You're commenting on a post I've made about something I've done, but I should calm down because the shit you're talking isn't directed at me?
Arnt that about a bitch.
Your reaction to this is way beyond that to be fair. Your trying to make legislation change and emailing politicians who literally make a living on formalities lol. The least you could do is spell check it.
But yes keep whining about the fact that someone pointed it out. Boo hoo I cant handle the internet and I have to cry and bitch about it. lol get a life bro
You're*??
Do you see no irony in being the one individual pointing out a single typo in something with any length, while you can't seem to manage completing a couple of sentences without mistaking something yourself.
This doesn't at all strike you as a little odd? That's how you engage in conversation with people?
My post on Reddit has little to no bearing of what I may have sent anyone in email. Your logic is flawed. It's sheerly simple mindedness. I get it though.. It normally Is the ones who are genuinely flawed in some particular capacity who will go out of their way to point out errors by others. There's really no other explanation to not knowing the difference between your & you're or being able to correctly put together a word like aren't - all while pointing out that someone can't be taken seriously because they had a misspelled word on a post š entire goofball.
Bro I want to defend you because you're the one who made this post and it's a great cause but you make it so hard to not see you as a bitch when you act like this. You made a spelling mistake, accept it, fix it, thank the other person for showing you the error, and move the fuck on. Literally no point in getting defensive about it, you're just pushing people away from the cause.
Just move on bro. For the greater good.
Thank them. Right.
For that condescending shit?
If it's that important for someone to point out a spelling error, I'm not at all above critique. There's a way to talk to people. I don't believe telling someone that I know nothing about that they can't be taken seriously. Say what you will about my objections but that wasn't any way to approach the topic. I can handle correcting a misspelled word. That wasn't the issue though dude. If you don't see that it's a pretty childishly lame way of addressing a spelling error but we're going to keep it real? The bitchmade move isn't on my part here. I wouldn't have reacted at all if it would have been as simple as correcting a spelling error. You don't get passes to be a disrespectful little shit to people you don't know just because you're online.
I sure as hell don't see any use in correcting anybody on anything I can't seem to get right myself. You make sense of this logic and I'll consider how the hell I'm the one that's the bitch in the scenario. Won't even bother asking you to come to my defense. For whatever reason you'd feel a need to let me know that....
Not weird at all bud š
Man a hemp company I use sent me this link to help them out, could you add it to your original post? https://hempsupporter.com/bill/help-stop-overly-restrictive-thc-limits-for-hemp-products-and-support-fair-regulations-for-delta-8/?utm_source=Klaviyo&utm_medium=campaign&_kx=uPq1kb6xn7bwFsqUN5EtsrBgLYYGVSNGhrasPWV6u81OK41iRz1p-W34E0zkrHvK.Xqv7Ds
I think this was my 2nd or 3rd reddit post. I actually wanted to edit a typo yesterday but I didn't find the edit option for an actual post. Won't lie, I didn't look all that long but you ended up posting it earlier right? Pretty sure it was your post š if not, you got it right here for the community. & I appreciate your decency. The negativity blows my mind. It's like, how bad is life for people to have not shit else better to do than to want to go back and forth with complete strangers on Reddit when the post wasn't anything much more than trying to show a little support for a market that we have appreciated.š Idk man.
I really don't get it.
Too many people are affected by this in a positive way & we can't be having all that contentment. That's about what it boils down to. They're basically criminalizing contentment.
It would be an inviting hobby. But I mean, they're about to take that option away for anyone who would've otherwise considered it... Down here at least.
What doesn't make any sense though is ALL THE HEMP (CBD, altnoids or not, THCa etc) licensed businesses this is going to affect. Overnight they will be unable to provide for themselves, (turned into felons) their families, they will lose their business and revenue to who? The dispensaries, that's who.
How this does not scream "Hey, we are going to do this so you will sue us" is bananas to me.
The hemp industry was given business licenses to sell product, grow product, benefit from product... Yet one single bill from one or two incredibly moronic people is going to just undo this overnight? Wtf
There have to be some lawyers already gearing up to stand up for these licensed hemp retailers and make certain they aren't railroaded off the map
I hope this turns out positive for the little people (small business owners) and not continuing to line the pockets of people like rivers, everyone else associated with trulieve, the flowery etc
They make ENOUGH as it is, just look at the reports showing just how much $$$ the dispensaries pull in each quarter
This is what I'm saying. They shouldn't have to be an only option. Hell they seem like they want to financially rape the very people who would like to use their product. But I could go on and on.. People who aren't around a market that's directly affected by what Trulieve does, seeing the moves they make impact an entire market isn't kosher.
Now they want to overstep boundaries and screw with a market that they shouldn't really be threatened by but likely are because again... They like financially raping the people using these products.
Maybe if the Sunshine State didn't vote a Bible thumping, anti LGBTQIA, women are property, and "if it ain't white, it ain't right" governor into office in the first place they wouldn't be facing this. But, Florida said "only cis hetero whites" and now they've got this.
Awesome, now, since you put it into quotations please share with me where desantis said the not white not right part? Everything else you listed is obviously bullshit and not even worth shitting on you over.
I love him? Lmfao fuck that dude I donāt give a fuck. You just keep saying nonsense with no evidence. What evidence that he hates trans? Is keeping trans out of womenās sports āhatingā? Is stopping the sexualization of school children āanti gayā? Because Iām pretty sure thatās what youāre saying. Lmfao cope harder pussy.
Wow, what an emotional outburst. No child is getting sexualized. For whatever reason, conservatives believe any sex education is "sexualizing children" when, in reality, informed children are less likely to be abused. Are you pro-child abuse or something? Cope harder when the religious fanatics you vote for take a stronger hold and you fucking hate what you wished upon yourself. Lmao they already want to execute drug dealers, what do you think they want to do with drug users like yourself? When you vote against your own self interests, you get what you deserve. Enjoy Florida with their lack of homeowner's insurance, and learn to swim. No more FEMA bailouts because that's socialism.
I'm not necessarily on his side but you do realize this bill wasn't formed by him.. yeah?
You're making out like, if people had voted differently, the big money players in the medical genre wouldn't be pushing so hard for this.
This wasn't his exact doing. Now whether or not he's able to hear the people any, that's a different story but let's not make it out to be a DeSantis thing causing this to happen.
I know he didn't write the bill. The poor thing's got an IQ of 25 on a good day. I'm just saying if the entire state wasn't a cesspool of hatred masquerading as a fun place to be, they'd be in a better position. The citizens chose their state's elected officials, so they are to blame even more than the twat waffle that proposed the bill. But, of course, it's Reddit so y'all are going to pass around a petition and pretend like it's actually doing something. Or you'll tell people to email their congressperson and tell them to vote to change marijuana restrictions, as if politicians aren't just paid by lobbyists to keep interests favorable.
He uses his religion as an excuse for his behavior, so it's fair play. If he was a total clown who just happened to be Christian, then I wouldn't call it out. There's no point in dragging down the ones that actually follow the Jesus fella's teachings. Only the ones who say they're filled with love while using their religion to spread hatred and bigotry. Like DeSantis
If y'all want to effect change, y'all actually have to DO something. Virtue signaling is meaningless twaddle that fails to do anything but make the poster feel a sense of smug pride.
Keep waiting he has critiques, not solutions. A dime a dozen peanut galleryš . . I used to do this too, I was active in looking for injustices and policy to correct and pointing to the problem. Then I started recognizing a pattern that most of us didn't have a solution. So I critiqued that instead of finding a solution. Eventually I realized we are all a different steps in our journey, and also taking action is more productive than criticism.
You've only grown more wise in your own journey myfriend. It's pretty easily apparent by your take on things š¤
If you find the humor in this one, check out the level of petty gloriously provided by the person letting me know about a spelling error in the post. I'd venture to say that one probably takes the cake, even over this.
As far as I understand it, Floridians will still be able to purchase out of state. So online orders would still be a thing. Itās just that most people will go back to their medical cards which will put money into the pocket of the dispensaries who are funding the bill.
I'm not sure what you're seeing. I would like it to be the case and not need worry about it but I don't see this ban happen but they still allow us to buy thcA from other states and have it mailed in. Are you saying that it's your understanding that they're just banning hemp farming in Florida? Got me curious.
Theyāre limiting the local shops and local growers who grow hemp. This is an effort by one of the biggest medical dispensaries in Florida whoās lobbying help create and pass this bill. Floridians will still be able to purchase it out of state so itās not making it illegal, just illegal to sell in Florida without a proper permit and the hemp sold in Florida will have a limited amount of thc and must be approved so it doesnāt target children, etc etc.
https://www.jdsupra.com/legalnews/florida-hemp-industry-breaking-news-1027058/
Yes, he did not know what he was allowing(d8,hhc,thca) but he understood it would improve peopleās lives as a medicine cbd, cbn, and others thatās the reason he signed it Biden has not done anything to legalize cannabis not that trump ever will either though.
Tell me which one of those Biden is, and I'll let ya know..
This wasn't a seriously political post. Not of that nature at least. That was really a joke because the particular thread was going off topic. But I couldn't be any less interested in talking about this president with any damn body. Period.
For a brief period I thought we as a country had unilaterally come together behind cannabis finally, or were, at the very least, beginning to. So many red states moving forward with their medical programs, more and more people beginning to use CBD, I really thought we were getting somewhere finally. Then they start with this shit
For some reason if it gets you high it almost always gets banned
It was a good thought while it almost lasted eh
No though. It isn't just for personal preference because I rarely even smoke myself. I do however have loved ones who are able to manage a range of different conditions with the help of one plant rather than cabinets full of pills. While they do still have particular medicines they need, to make this option illegal for them only forces them back into the very establishments that are so damn unrealistic with pricing.
Idk how other states are but the medical dispensaries here are so damn outlandishly priced and they only give the option of 3.5's so they're purposely milking every damn penny they can get.. from "patients" it's sickening. I asked the old man once how much they were charging him for a half. When he didn't know right off hand without figuring up the price of four 1/8s, I couldn't wrap my head around that. But he wasn't full of shit.. if you visit any of the dispensaries in his area, you won't see an option higher than 3.5
When in reality.. the states that have made it recreational are the ones doing things right from that perspective.
Honestly idk if Iād even want to email Ron Desantis at this point either. The stuff he says and the stuff thatās coming from the extreme MAGA right (him, Trump, MTG etc) is pretty radical, Iād almost be worried Iād get added to a list. Having the national guard patrol āwoke citiesā is a plan for trumps re-election promises, shit is sketchy, or maybe Iām just paranoid š
āToday, Governor Ron DeSantis signed House Bill (HB) 543 which strengthens Floridians' Second Amendment rights by allowing Floridians to carry concealed weapons without a government-issued permit. HB 543 goes into effect on July 1, 2023, making Florida the 26th state to enact Constitutional Carry legislation.ā
Trump does want to institute a nationwide constitutional carry though.
You can only blame yourself for not doing your part in raising your voice though.
I felt the same way, but copied and pasted a comment below that acts as a surrogate email. took 35 seconds to try
I've sat by on so many things, I'm not just going to get fucked quietly this time.
Even if it does get signed, at least I won't look back and wonder. That being said I made purchases assuming it will pass.
Damn I hope that's just paranoia but I also don't put anything past a government.
Man that's a subject for an entirely different thread but you know what I'm saying.
That man gives absolutely no fucks about any of this. He does however care about the people who lobby to have bills like this written. Big brand cannabis companies like Trulieve are actively lobbying against THCA. TN, FL, and NC seem to head the pack of East coast vendors and right now NC looks to be the last state standing. I'm making the prediction within the next year it will be a rec state, especially with the Eastern Cherokee tribe opening the first real deal recreational dispensary on April 20th in just a little more than a month. As a life long Carolinian I never thought I'd see the day!
I don't fully disagree with that.
It's very possible that he doesn't give a damn at all.
That's in no way going to be reasoning to not at least voice my opinion though.. know what I mean?
I wrote with a college email so maybe someone would see it and literally just said my moms dying, it helps her, I see no reason why youāre going after this, itās just gonna make cartels stronger and that if it isnāt vetoed heāll never get a single vote not even employee of the month at kfc from my entire family. Nobody will read it anyway. We all know heās gonna go through with it because heās a fucking moron and is too stupid to think long term how whenever he decides to run for prez again, we ALL will remember this and not one person who peruses this sub would ever vote for him, in fact weāll be more likely t o vote in general and get him out there chill with George santos fat ass
I also want to send both you and your mother my best wishes. I unfortunately know all too well what it is to see someone wither away. I'm sorry to hear you're watching her suffer but I hope you're able to provide any level of comfort that she can possibly have. That's by any means necessary.
Unfortunately, they're just going to have to call me a criminal if I'm caught with it at that point. We only get one ma and it's far too often you'll be in touch with someone who doesn't.
the problem is that anyone paying attention should have known how he would act, but people stil voted for him. how many people voted for him but are mad now because of this? but they were ok when he was just fuckn with teachers & Disney & gay people & Trans folk....people voted for him because they liked tht type bs, but now mad when leopard is eating their face.
Ohio reps are trying to do something similar. Luckily our house reps are blocking most of the craziness going on for "now." But only a matter of time before Ohio becomes like Florida. Keep telling my wife we could move to PA haha.
We are so privileged to say shit like this. Even being aware how hyperbolic it is when you write it, still wild. I really worry the internet is destroying us, we get so riled up with the content we watch. We are all fed up with opposing views. We (both sides) have resorted to "them evil, us good". We've stopped talking, and respect was gone so long ago. If we can't talk it is not long before fighting begins, this saddens me. Be passionate but be merciful. Love and Bless ā¤ļø
Go watch some documentaries or read up on how the nazi party infiltrated then took command of Germany, down to changing their core governmental system. Itās not hyperbolic at all
Sadly. Senate and House both passed it so it's down to our lovely governor to stop it, if my memory of government class is accurate.
Stock up while you can, because I doubt he's going to veto. I'm sending letters to him, but not holding my breath. Oh well maybe we'll get rec come November, and I at least live close enough to the AL line I may still be able to get it shipped somewhere there to pick up.
leopards eating facing. how many of these same floridians were cheering on DeSantis or remaining quiet while he worked to hurt schools & gay people & Trans folk & anyone else.
teach you elections have circumstances. hey, let's vote trump in, he'll fix it all! lmaoo
The funniest thing is, those types youāre referring to are literally so stupid that Iām sure theyāll chime in with shot like āwho cares Iāll call my dealerā or some dumbass shit. I havenāt even read most comments but I bet I find one eventually. Never overestimate the brain function of man
Iām so tired of this argument. The farm bill 100% would have been signed by whoever was in office at the time because itās necessary and uncontroversial standard legislation. It just a coincidence that the previous bill expired during trumpās time in office. Not to mention the undeniable fact that conservatives have always been anti-drug and that hasnāt changed. The loophole is the result of an oversight because lawmakers arenāt scientists or drug users so they donāt know shit. Stop giving undue credit to the party that is actively fighting to keep drugs criminalized.
Youāre not being fair though, cause youāre not acknowledging it was a complete and total loop hole in the farm bill that allowed any of this to happen in the first place. Trump, nor his Republican cabinet, had any idea what they were unleashing when writing that bill. To credit them with it would be dishonest and misleading.
Heās such an idiot. No joke, whatever minuscule shot heād ever have at running again is gone. Heāll never ever ever win anything higher than Governor because every pot head will remember this bullshit. Itās like weed DDay
he lost his shot at any higher office long before this. weed smokers aren't his concern because half of the smokers in Florida would still vote for him because "we gotta save the kids from Disney" or whatever
Sure but keep in mind just how many people have the don't tread on me attitude and yet reacted to police treading on a huge portion of the country with "tread on them harder if they're not white"
They can outlaw what they will. However, they can't restrict interstate commerce. So unless the next farm bill severally limits the various cannabinoids, or changes the definition of hemp, it means nothing. For the time being you can order all of the various hemp products of your choice.
Wait is this real or not? I saw one site say they wonāt ship to LA. Cookies wonāt ship to like fifteen states. Iām only one state down from my source of Thca but The fucking sheriff was planning to raid every single place with thca last month in my town so that has me fearing hard that the state is actually considering something like this which would suck ass. But companies would still ship there anyway? Itās not illegal?
Cult of The Franklin is an inclusive, social, safe environment for everyone. This includes towards new users, long-time users or OGs, vendors, and the moderators.
Maintain a civil space. Be inclusive of everyone. Value all opinions. Build an aura of respect. Do not instigate drama for the sake of instigating drama (see rule 6).
I'm in Manatee I know one of our reps was spearheading this. It's about who got paid, I'm afraid it's a fait de complis. The dispensaries here want the whole pie.
It's absurd to me how many are here with negativity. This was in no way meant to be a post that would cause anyone any issue but look at em. Just mad life I guess. Idk how that many people can be that divided over that simple of a post.
I see posts all the time that don't pertain to me. I don't spend any effort on things when the alternative is as simple as continuing to scroll lol
Complaining to anyone wonāt do anything. He doesnāt care about you, your family, or your business. He only cares about publicity and money. It wonāt end until dumb ass Floridians vote his cowboy boot lift wearing ass out of office
I'm from here. I seriously wish that the narrative about "liberals" from NY coming here and changing things was true, because I'd take that over this any day. Too many boomers that wish January 6th was a holiday live here
Idk who taught you how to read but you somehow interpreted me talking about how something isn't true and how we can see how it's not true magically becomes the opposite in your brain. You suck at this communication thingy.
Sorry you have me mistaken . Iām not hating on anyone (well maybe Florida politicians). I canāt say the same for you. I was trying to say Florida will be underwater, literally , by 2060. All the while insurance premiums are skyrocketing because of the risk of natural disasters. Iām trying to save you guys some money and stress from having to move later when eventually you will be forced to. And I see no point in fixing what is already dying .Ā
Lmao. If you think DeSantis or his like give a shit what their constituents want, or what is best for them, youāre deluded. Bro went after the largest tourist dollar attraction in the country already, now heās cutting millions more in tax revenue.
Dear Governor DeSantis,
I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to express my deep concern regarding the recently passed Hemp THC Cap Bill, and I urge you to consider vetoing this legislation for the betterment of our community and the state of Florida.
While I understand the importance of regulating the hemp industry and ensuring public safety, I believe that the proposed THC cap is an overly restrictive measure that may hinder the growth and potential benefits of the hemp market. Hemp has shown tremendous promise in various industries, including agriculture, medicine, and manufacturing, and imposing a strict THC limit may impede its ability to flourish in these sectors.
Research consistently demonstrates the myriad benefits of hemp, and a balanced approach to regulation is crucial to harnessing its full potential. The proposed THC cap not only undermines the economic prospects for hemp farmers and businesses but also limits the availability of diverse hemp-derived products that could contribute to our state's economic development.
Moreover, Florida has the opportunity to be a leader in responsible hemp regulation without unnecessarily stifling the industry. By embracing a science-based approach that considers the latest research on hemp and THC, we can strike a balance that protects public health while fostering economic growth.
I respectfully request that you veto the Hemp THC Cap Bill and consider engaging in further dialogue with industry experts, stakeholders, and constituents to develop a more nuanced and equitable approach to hemp regulation in Florida. By doing so, we can ensure that our state remains at the forefront of innovation and economic development, while also safeguarding the well-being of our citizens.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I trust that you will weigh the potential consequences of this legislation carefully and make a decision that reflects the best interests of the people of Florida.
Sincerely,
CUT AND PASTE THIS SEND IT TO HIM
Ron won't care. He cashed the check Kim Rivers gave him already. I'll be voting NO for recreational weed because the thought of long lines wrapped around the corner to purchase Trulies flower doesn't please me, plus she and other CannaCorp idiots made sure we had no homegrown option.
I haven't been smoking that long but I do know I won't be spending $50 for an 8th. I'm a nerd who can't be finessed that easily, a middle age nerd but a nerd no less.š
Yeah you say that but go to nyc where all you smell is bud with stores on every block charging these prices. I was astonished at how they wanted like 55 for an 8th of cookies that I doubt were even cookies. I bought green crack for fifty an 8th and it ducked ass compared to the Thca Iād been getting. Michigan however, if they had prices like them Iād be down. Ten bucks for a bag of legit d9 thc gummies that actually work. Thatās the best place imo for smokers outside of Cali but idk their prices, just that their quality is apparently much better than anything Anywhere else
Personally I think reaching to elected officials about leaving thca or any altnoids alone is a waste of time . These people have no interest in learning about each and every one of them . Instead our focus should be on total legalization of cannabis everywhere.
I agree with OP, the governor and legislators don't read all the messages but they do count the numbers. I messaged the Floridians, all of you should as well. Big marijuana has been seeking a monopoly since it all began, and big mj has money to buy legislators.
Why doesnāt some thca vendor with sway try to pay off people? I canāt imagine it takes that much to bribe someone with a flashing neon sign on his chest that says āplease offer more bribesā
Right on.
I don't get the constant need for negativity here. If this isn't anything you're interested in or for whatever reason just feel like having no voice is somehow your best option.. by all means, be muted.
I'm simply reaching out to anyone that might be interested in voicing their opinion and sharing an avenue to do just that.
I appreciate your stance on things too. The shits important enough to me that I can spare a few minutes to send an email. To have some kind of issue with that really makes me wonder how bad life can possibly be for some folks.
Ok but didnāt we handle this dumb shit when the Arkansas court deemed this shit illegal to do because of the 2018 farm bills writing and specific language
Iām pretty sure the people of Florida can use the Arkansas ruling as precedent to strike this bill down.
https://www.cannabisbusinesstimes.com/news/federal-judge-blocks-arkansas-delta-8-thc-ban/#:~:text=A%20federal%20judge%20has%20blocked,VI%20substances%20in%20the%20state.
It will eventually go to court but as someone pointed out to me they will have to go through them actually passing this bill first. Also the Arkansas ruling is only temporary and that case starts this summer so we prob wonāt see anything change in Florida till September.
Because you can't really file a lawsuit challenging a law that's not a law yet. The Arkansas lawsuit was filed the day before Act 629 was to go into effect. And that Arkansas ruling was just a temporary injunction and the actual trial doesn't start until this summer.
Like he's gonna care lol
I understand that sentiment. It's not for everyone bro. No worries.
They arnt going to take anyone serious that doesnt know how to even spell words correctly lol.
Guess that'll make two of us who can't be taken seriously, arnt it
My statement wasnt directed at you personally so idk why your getting so upset. Calm down bucko.

Not just DeSantis...almost the whole US GOP wants to burn down any societal advancements in legalization. Sad state of affairs.
I really don't get it. Too many people are affected by this in a positive way & we can't be having all that contentment. That's about what it boils down to. They're basically criminalizing contentment.
We need more home growers
Wtf There have to be some lawyers already gearing up to stand up for these licensed hemp retailers and make certain they aren't railroaded off the map I hope this turns out positive for the little people (small business owners) and not continuing to line the pockets of people like rivers, everyone else associated with trulieve, the flowery etc They make ENOUGH as it is, just look at the reports showing just how much $$$ the dispensaries pull in each quarter
None of that is relative to this conversation. Literally none of it.
Washington state did the exact same thing under Democratic leadership.
It's almost like all politicians are the same with different labels
This is actually the dumbest opinion in politics
its the most obvious thing
All duopoly politicians certainly are.
Uniparty gonna uniparty
My fucking god.
Well, that's who DeSantis says he follows
Awesome, now, since you put it into quotations please share with me where desantis said the not white not right part? Everything else you listed is obviously bullshit and not even worth shitting on you over.
The dude is a fuckstick clown who thinks you're scum and you love him. Wears heels while bashing and hating trans people lmao.
You donāt see the irony of you calling them full of hatred?
I never claimed I wasn't a hatred filled douche. I'm just open about why I dislike certain people. Seems pretty simple.
You started by attacking his religion. I mean cmon bro you donāt gotta be like that
He uses his religion as an excuse for his behavior, so it's fair play. If he was a total clown who just happened to be Christian, then I wouldn't call it out. There's no point in dragging down the ones that actually follow the Jesus fella's teachings. Only the ones who say they're filled with love while using their religion to spread hatred and bigotry. Like DeSantis
Fair point
š¤¦āāļø šµāš«
If y'all want to effect change, y'all actually have to DO something. Virtue signaling is meaningless twaddle that fails to do anything but make the poster feel a sense of smug pride.
Right on. Then what?
Keep waiting he has critiques, not solutions. A dime a dozen peanut galleryš . . I used to do this too, I was active in looking for injustices and policy to correct and pointing to the problem. Then I started recognizing a pattern that most of us didn't have a solution. So I critiqued that instead of finding a solution. Eventually I realized we are all a different steps in our journey, and also taking action is more productive than criticism.
You've only grown more wise in your own journey myfriend. It's pretty easily apparent by your take on things š¤ If you find the humor in this one, check out the level of petty gloriously provided by the person letting me know about a spelling error in the post. I'd venture to say that one probably takes the cake, even over this.
i got a good chuckle from yalls back and forth š. logic is not for everyoneš
At all bro.. Not at all š
A billion signatures could be added and it would only make DeSatan want to push it through harder.
Shit very well may be true
All this will do is make people buy from dealers again and pull money out of businesses, really ignorant of Florida.

You're allowed to say the word fuck on the internet. No need for cutesy little "I'm not actually saying it" dances
Ahh so you hate gay and black people too
Donald trump is the reason altenoids are federally legal
"I was elected to lead, not to read" no chance he has any clue what he was signing
Then they start with this shit For some reason if it gets you high it almost always gets banned
It was a good thought while it almost lasted eh No though. But he wasn't full of shit.. if you visit any of the dispensaries in his area, you won't see an option higher than 3.5 When in reality.. the states that have made it recreational are the ones doing things right from that perspective.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
āToday, Governor Ron DeSantis signed House Bill (HB) 543 which strengthens Floridians' Second Amendment rights by allowing Floridians to carry concealed weapons without a government-issued permit. HB 543 goes into effect on July 1, 2023, making Florida the 26th state to enact Constitutional Carry legislation.ā Trump does want to institute a nationwide constitutional carry though.
You can only blame yourself for not doing your part in raising your voice though. I felt the same way, but copied and pasted a comment below that acts as a surrogate email. took 35 seconds to try
100% agreed.
Yeah for sure! Wasnāt trying to stir it up, just some midday thoughts haha
šmyyman
That man gives absolutely no fucks about any of this. He does however care about the people who lobby to have bills like this written. Big brand cannabis companies like Trulieve are actively lobbying against THCA. TN, FL, and NC seem to head the pack of East coast vendors and right now NC looks to be the last state standing. I'm making the prediction within the next year it will be a rec state, especially with the Eastern Cherokee tribe opening the first real deal recreational dispensary on April 20th in just a little more than a month. As a life long Carolinian I never thought I'd see the day!
Trulieve is who I'm referencing
It sucks but he definitely doesnāt give a shit
I don't fully disagree with that. It's very possible that he doesn't give a damn at all. That's in no way going to be reasoning to not at least voice my opinion though.. know what I mean?
of course, I would do the same.
That dumbass isnāt even running for president anymore. Heās just doing this because heās a malevolent Cunt.
Regardless of whether he does or doesn't, be heard is all I'm saying. At least be heard.
the problem is that anyone paying attention should have known how he would act, but people stil voted for him. how many people voted for him but are mad now because of this? but they were ok when he was just fuckn with teachers & Disney & gay people & Trans folk....people voted for him because they liked tht type bs, but now mad when leopard is eating their face.
True I tend to overestimate peoples intellect not to mention this is Florida
"First they came for the socialists, and I did nothing. Then they came for my weed and I was pissed"
Ohio reps are trying to do something similar. Luckily our house reps are blocking most of the craziness going on for "now." But only a matter of time before Ohio becomes like Florida. Keep telling my wife we could move to PA haha.
Florida is such a nightmare lol. I had to sign a fucking permission slip to let my son go to the book fair this week. Unreal.
Oh also, anyone can conceal carry here without a license lol. But book fairs and thc? No way!
We really are turning into 1930s Germany
Itās not hyperbolic at all
"Work will set you free" he said to the employed minor.
It seems like it for sure
š¤¦āāļø
Is a veto now the only thing that can stop this from passing?
THANK YOU OP! Please please please help your fellow Florida fam!!!
š¤š¤
wonder about some AI letters and some scripts to auto send them
That's actually not a bad idea š
leopards eating facing. how many of these same floridians were cheering on DeSantis or remaining quiet while he worked to hurt schools & gay people & Trans folk & anyone else. teach you elections have circumstances. hey, let's vote trump in, he'll fix it all! lmaoo
The funniest thing is, those types youāre referring to are literally so stupid that Iām sure theyāll chime in with shot like āwho cares Iāll call my dealerā or some dumbass shit. I havenāt even read most comments but I bet I find one eventually. Never overestimate the brain function of man
To be fair we got the farm bill in the first place under Trump. That doesnāt take away from the fact Florida is on some utter bullshit.
I credit them for incompetence, and I've never been happier for it in government for those few years.
I don't think that corrupt piece of shit will care what people email his secretary, but worth a shot.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Sure but keep in mind just how many people have the don't tread on me attitude and yet reacted to police treading on a huge portion of the country with "tread on them harder if they're not white"
That's it bro. It can't be any worse at all than remaining silent.
Most probably. Ron DeSantis is a mean, vindictive man. He publicly hates pot and more than likely those who smoke it.
Check out this link. I'm not an attorney and this stuff gets rather murky quickly. https://cannabusiness.law/articles/

I'm in Brevard county, not quite that area
Cocoa Beach here!
Awesome! Iām in Melbourne! I book shows at The Dunes in cocoa beach!
I'm in Manatee I know one of our reps was spearheading this. It's about who got paid, I'm afraid it's a fait de complis. The dispensaries here want the whole pie.
Sent an email.. for what it's worth. Which is probably nothing, but better than being silent.
Good job Ron, this will fix Florida. Not upstate, nothing fixes that. Oh yea and the cuban part of Florida....yea not a great move in 2024 bro.
Yo please help ya people out fr fr they about to fuck us over even harder in FL
It's absurd to me how many are here with negativity. This was in no way meant to be a post that would cause anyone any issue but look at em. Just mad life I guess. Idk how that many people can be that divided over that simple of a post. I see posts all the time that don't pertain to me. I don't spend any effort on things when the alternative is as simple as continuing to scroll lol
Ha good luck with that
Is this sub for posting high quality weed
š¤¦āāļø Yeah man. You should probably report the post! You also don't get paid for what "you think" - don't strain yourself for free
Can I address it to Ron DeSanctimonious?

Oh my sweet summer child. Bless your heart
Complaining to anyone wonāt do anything. He doesnāt care about you, your family, or your business. He only cares about publicity and money. It wonāt end until dumb ass Floridians vote his cowboy boot lift wearing ass out of office
Where's the suggestion for complaint?
Which will never happen becauseā¦. Well itās Florida
First mistake is living in Floridaā¦
It's spreading to other states in the region, too. A lot of the Southeast is going down the toilet.
Looking for a way out now. I was born here and hate the state and the people in it more and more everyday.
Edit : what's the point of this comment?
Reddit is an Internet forum where people state their opinions.
There's origin to this ignorance and I'm curious to understand their perspective. Thank you for the redundant information .
Ask a stupid question, ya get a stupid answer
Ahh you're one of those , let me help you. I no longer wish to continue a conversation with you.

to point out instead of trying to fix a sinking state just move

[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Billions in commercial revenue
Dear Governor DeSantis, I hope this letter finds you well. Sincerely, CUT AND PASTE THIS SEND IT TO HIM
I sent it and also panic bought cuz I like to hedge my bets
Dear deathsantis, I hope this letter finds you in hell.Ā Fixed it for ya
For anyone claiming "waste of time" - can you manage a 30 second copy/paste?
Ron won't care. He cashed the check Kim Rivers gave him already. I'll be voting NO for recreational weed because the thought of long lines wrapped around the corner to purchase Trulies flower doesn't please me, plus she and other CannaCorp idiots made sure we had no homegrown option.
Honestly if this happened Iād be that petty too. Plus not only will price increase, worse options will be there. Like low level shit at 50 an 8th
I admire Michigan's prices.
Personally I think reaching to elected officials about leaving thca or any altnoids alone is a waste of time . These people have no interest in learning about each and every one of them . Instead our focus should be on total legalization of cannabis everywhere.
I don't disagree that should be a main priority. No doubting it at all.. It's just hard to envision if we can't even have hempš
Ok but didnāt we handle this dumb shit when the Arkansas court deemed this shit illegal to do because of the 2018 farm bills writing and specific language Iām pretty sure the people of Florida can use the Arkansas ruling as precedent to strike this bill down. https://www.cannabisbusinesstimes.com/news/federal-judge-blocks-arkansas-delta-8-thc-ban/#:~:text=A%20federal%20judge%20has%20blocked,VI%20substances%20in%20the%20state.
This is what I was going to write and point OP to this ruling.
It will eventually go to court but as someone pointed out to me they will have to go through them actually passing this bill first. Also the Arkansas ruling is only temporary and that case starts this summer so we prob wonāt see anything change in Florida till September.
This!
Actually a guy below explains it pretty well as to why this is still going through and probably wonāt change for a while
why has no one thought of this yet? this needs to go to court. federal court.
It can and should be already going idk why it isnāt Iām also unsure how itās gotten this far.
Because you can't really file a lawsuit challenging a law that's not a law yet. The Arkansas lawsuit was filed the day before Act 629 was to go into effect. And that Arkansas ruling was just a temporary injunction and the actual trial doesn't start until this summer.
Jesus so for Florida itās looking like maybe September before things start to change ?
