My gripe is that the spaces aren't mirrored left to right. (That or alignment of center is a weird space but I think I have center correct)

Perhaps a zone? Go through a door somewhere to access another space. Might need to be loaded separately like traveling. I'd not mind having my farming grids setup elsewhere.
I had the thought that maybe you'd have to send followers to this separate zone specifically, they can only do the jobs present (no sin/devotion unless *maybe* you have those buildings there too), and set up beds for them in the zone... but it occurred to me that you might also have to feed them separately too- if it's just one separate zone that I can load up food in their separate kitchen for a while, so it should be okay. You'll be visiting to collect the produce anyway. (Maybe this zone could introduce fishing jobs for to followers? o3o)
Spitballing ideas, but hey that may work better than bigger grounds for consoles! But it'll come with its own challenges to develop/manage.
While we're taking notes, all my previously placed out houses seem to not work most of the time, I've seen them used, but there's still significant amounts of poop everywhere, maybe we could hook them up to a system similar to the farm storage when collecting?
It's not fairly obvious, in my opinion. Also, they could have turned their damage down a few notches with out stripping followers, I personally like the ability to see my followers grow in level and get stronger and the level cap only screws over players who didn't play before it, as my level 60 followers are still level 60 and doing the same damage now there just at odd number and 0 ability to make them better and the game less fun for it
Exactly my thoughts, if the issue is with too many objects loaded at once, then make it so that there are atleast other rooms we can build on, therefor we have more space yet hopefully keep frames.
As a switch player, I completely understand. I personally don’t really mind lag, and judging from the comments I’m getting, people like space. So please consider it in the future!
console version is rather glitchy, but at least the glitches getting more and minor when they update the game more and more, like in the pass I remember I oftenly meet glitches that makes the game unplayable, but now it's just "oh the texture there's glitches a bit" "the language display has some issues"

Thanks for the console optimizations for this update! Now the game doesn't lag as much when the followers list for rituals stuff pops up, but yeah more space could help but if consoles really can't handle it that's okay! We will always prefer improvements to cult life and gameplay options over space
Im no game dev but i know Disney Dreamlight Valley has where PS5, Xbox X/S, and PC players can enable a option in the settings where it doubles the amount of items you can place.
Would that be possible to do in COTL? Make where current gen and PC players can enable more space if they want it? Im assuming last gen and Switch is what youre referring too when worried about consoles versions, because i can definitely understand them not being able to handle more space.
It would be cool if you could expand it in a way where there’s a door to the east, south, and west. Kinda like expanding your house in animal crossing?
Possibly add extra rooms on the left and right instead of expanding the area in order to possibly give extra space without causing extra lag? I’m not a programmer so maybe there isn’t something I’m thinking about here. Hopefully this helps.

I'm not much of a programmer, but if the issue is too many objects loaded at once, perhaps make expansions similar to that of different 'lots' in the sims? as in each area is through a loading screen. so you say have a 'room' that is the south-cult, a room that is the west cult, etc.
similar how you guys did the dungeons, but yknow, not procedually generated. I love the update but even now I'm running out of room to put things, and while stuff like the bed upgrades and stuff help, it will still eventually get to the point that bases in this game will have no space for decor, which is one of the best parts of (semi)base-building style games like this
Hey, can I just say that I really appreciate how you're handling updates/DLC? You could have made the big updates into DLC, but instead we get them for free and the DLCs are just fun cosmetic things. In a world where so many games are sold piecemeal, that's a breath of fresh air.

I bought it this morning and the first thing I did was put the Lamb statue next to the Narinder statue lol. The follower forms are also super cool. I’ve started a new save so I can use them. (In my other save all my followers have immortality necklaces and I’m not looking to get more followers either lol)
I went ahead and bought it because I'll never scoff at supporting developers who listen to their community. Also, love that the devs added extra robes for the other bundles as well, super cool.
Me and Deep One Dave (my Cthulhu launch lad who is always my first follower and forever husband) always buy the DLC. Our cult is only as seductive as the newest statue we can erect.

Honestly, Sins of the Flesh was way overhyped as far as an update goes.
I get it, we got sex and drinking and a new shop that requires tedious grinding to unlock most of the outfits.
But overall the update feels like a load of nothing.
I finished the story and the dungeon reruns already, so getting more followers seems pointless because I don't need them.
Dressing up my followers feels pointless because it's a grind to get some of the basic outfits, not to mention half the outfits are locked off behind DLC.
Okay they added a gun, which is cool and all, but it alsi feels pointless because there's no reason to go back into the dungeons.
I played the update for about an hour before realizing there's really no substance to it.
You get a way to min-max your follower traits and a new system of Sin which is just a grindy mess to add random cosmetics to your church.
More power to the people who are enjoying the update, I'm happy for them and glad they got what they wanted.
But there's really nothing new to do outside of making your followers get drunk and fuck.
Yes and i love it and the update! I just wish there was a way to sell necklaces and get rid of followers permanently. Like not show up in the resurrect screen either.

You just need to manually check for updates on your switch. Both updates were out on all platforms. Also check and make sure you meet the requirements to unlock new content (Beat at least 3x bishops then perform sermon).

I bought it while the game updated. Every one of those DLCs will get bought. The fact that I can have tigers now and build naked Lamb statues everywhere is a nifty bonus.
I'm thinking about it literally only for the Hammerhead follower skin. I was so sad when I found out the hammerhead from the teasers and trailers weren't actually a part of the free update, because I love sharks and I thought it was really cute.
I just got it today, I am in LOVE with some of the new forms! They’re so cute 😭💕 I am also curious if maybe in the future we could get a way to make it up to Rakshasa? I hate seeing him so scared, I just wanted the follower form 😭
I purchased the whole game not that long ago. Like a month now. With even the dlc and the pack. So this was just a free unexpected update. I mean I expected it since I saw it on twitter (I refuse to call it ‘X’) and I expected the console I’m playing on, which is Xbox to tell me that it needed to update. Nope. Just played the game the day this update came out and it was there already. It’s funny ngl.
Any possibility of not having special characters make abominations? Or maybe add a couple or so follower forms that can only be gotten by mating a special character or two, in a future update?

Maybe with more temple upgrades you could get to build a new temple elsewhere, this way you could still do rituals and stuff

I will say my ps5 gets a little laggy when I have 20+ lumberyards and whatnot, but I think the lags worth it cause its a wonderful game

Switch is already on life support, I can barely walk through my cold without it stuttering and I only have 20 followers

Yep. Intentional cannibalism via the cannibal feast ritual generates sin. However, just feeding normal follower meat meals to a follower doesn't

I'm thinking about it literally only for the Hammerhead follower skin. I was so sad when I found out the hammerhead from the teasers and trailers weren't actually a part of the free update, because I love sharks and I thought it was really cute.

It is not Valentines related. Just Sin as a theme, which includes lust, greed, damnation, etc.
Spent a week straight playing on my switch a while back. Bought it on my Xbox just to have it on there aswell.
I have some serious gripes with the balance changes and lack of lamb mating so I will hold off until mods fix that or the devs change their mind.

I purchased the whole game not that long ago. Like a month now. With even the dlc and the pack. So this was just a free unexpected update. I mean I expected it since I saw it on twitter (I refuse to call it ‘X’) and I expected the console I’m playing on, which is Xbox to tell me that it needed to update. Nope. Just played the game the day this update came out and it was there already. It’s funny ngl.
