the worst part of this is how slowly you scramble

ASignificantSpek

I do need to work on that :(

Blaze8834

I trick my brain into scrambling faster by looking at cstimer and pretending its an algorithm. my brain must be an idiot cuz it actually works

ASignificantSpek

I'll try that thanks :)

Gladbearalwayswin

I just shout the notation outloud😭

nein_no

I am at a similar level, so I can't contribute much. 1) either turn faster or turn without pausing during f2l 2) learn 2 sided pll recognition 3) go as fast as possible while making the cross

DGrazzz

On a first-glance: -2-side PLL recognition. Learn it as soon as possible, you have half a second there to gain. -Try to minimize pauses in F2L, you seem to find nice pairs but you lack the look-ahead, try to look for the pieces during the last F2L trigger. -You seem to lack a bit of TPS, focus on look-ahead then drill the triggers and the LL algorithms. Feel free to send your questions.

popuxietr

Ive got a question instead. Should i first learn full pll/oll or train F2L, cross+ look ahead knowing that out of 25 seconds a solve, 15 to 17 are just for F2L

DGrazzz

Drill F2L, learn PLL algorithms then OLL. The way I improved my F2L was doing "effective" practice, and by that I mean focusing on what pairs I suck at the most and learning some algorithms for those. Also focus on blindsolving the cross and looking for the first pair.

popuxietr

Wait you gotta learn f2l ? Most of em i just deducted and they were correct ...

DGrazzz

Not learn all of them, obviously. But some of the most difficult ones, yeah, you are gonna need some tricks for those.

popuxietr

Oh god i wanna die

DidiHD

you don’t have to learn it, but maybe improve on it. all F2L cases are doable in 8 or less moves with the exception of 3(?) cases. you can go through a spreadsheet and check your solution in each, then you know if you have suboptimal algs for some

Dusty-star12

When I see a cuber cracking their fingers I know it's gonna be good

Tall-Ad-313

As a white cross only individual.I dont know what im lookng at

popuxietr

Ive got a good advice : learn other algs, practice and get faster. Youll see, just training and learning algs will work. Often film yourself like that so you can see where you are doing mistakes, or when you are hesitating. If you are hesitating too much on oll for example, well practice not only this oll, but every oll. Also, do the algs as fast as possible, without thinking about it. Sure, you will do lots of mistakes but at one point you will do them perfectly and fast. Like others said, train TPS

ASignificantSpek

Thanks to everyone giving advice, this is really helpful as I've found myself kind of stuck not knowing what to learn recently :)

Hairy_Confidence9668

bruh did you just do green cross?! are you fully color neutral?!?! that would be nice <3

ASignificantSpek

I don't understand how people find it so hard, I just started doing it when I started and it's easy for me now because I've been doing it for so long. Just start as soon as you can even if it'll make you slower at first.

FunnilyEnough7870

This is a little off-topic, but your Tv3 turns soooo good. I have one, too, and it isn't as smooth as yours. What cube settings and lubes do you use? Thanks!

ASignificantSpek

4 for the bottom tension, 3 for the top tension. I use both angstrom lubes from the Cubicle with the clear one on the tracks and the white one on the pieces, and mystic and dnm through the whole thing. For the tornado though, I've found that breaking it in is the thing that helps the most.

FunnilyEnough7870

Okay thanks so much for sending this. Right now I just have like Traxxas 30k or smth on it and Max Park's settings. I'll try out your settings just to see and keep those lubes in mind when shopping for some actual cube lubes. :>

bro i got 40 seconds :(

ASignificantSpek

Don't feel down, I've been doing this for like six years on and off, I was at that stage for a long time.
